  3. I am posting this to inform everyone of a church security training event coming up in Cleveland TN at the end of February. Below is the description and also included is an attachment with info. This is for those of you who are either on your church security team, looking to start a church security team or if you are just simply interested in the topic of church security. Some of you have been to this church before for the Ed Mireles presentation back in November. The event is also sponsored by Faith Based Security Network, US Lawshield, Agape Tactical and Harris Combative Strategies. On Friday and Saturday, February 25 and 26, 2022, Westwood Baptist Church is hosting a Church Security Seminar – “A Gathering of The Guardians.” Westwood is located 4001 Georgetown Rd, NW, in Cleveland, TN. We will begin at 9:00AM, and conclude about 4:00PM. The Seminar is the same each day, and we are repeating it to accommodate the schedule of those who are still working or may have other conflicts. We have called it “MAGEN2022”, “magen” being a Hebrew word for guardian, protector, or shield. This is a follow on to our seminar MAGEN2020, which had over 725 attendees from 135 Churches. We have an outstanding speaker for this event. He is Dr. Tim Rupp. Dr. Rupp is a 25 year veteran of Law Enforcement, and, after completing his Doctorate of Ministry from Western Seminary, he Pastored Churches in Idaho. Currently, he is full time serving a Ministry dedicated to Law Enforcement personnel, a Ministry that he created. He is also the author of several books, including “Winning A Gunfight” and “Pistol in the Pulpit”. “Pistol in the Pulpit” is the focus of the material for this seminar. Additional information is shown in the attached Flyer. I am directly inviting you to this special event. And I ask you to help us spread the word on this event. This seminar is non-denominational, so please also pass this on to other Security Personnel and churches in your area with whom you may have contact. Registration will open December 6, 2021. Advance registration and payment are required. Cost for the seminar is $15 per person, which also includes lunch. To register, go to www.westwoodlife.org and follow prompts to “REGISTER”. Additionally, any Church wishing to be a “Co-sponsor” may make alternative arrangements. For any additional information or to discuss “Co-sponsoring”, please contact Westwood Baptist Director of Security Operations (DSO) Joe Gilbert at 423/584-3969, or by email at jmgilbert98@gmail.com. 2022FLYERV4-PRI DIST.pptx
  4. Still have spots available in this class. Don't miss this opportunity to get the scientific data on what really works under stress, what you should be spending your training time on and what historical sacred cows should really be slaughtered. John has been working on gathering data for his presentation pretty much since he and I met 15 years ago. This information has been thoroughly peer reviewed and vetted and this class is one of the few places you can get this lecture without having to attend the Rangemaster Tactical Conference (Tac Con) . Combine that with the shooting and low light portions of this class and you have a unique event that you'll be talking about for a long time.

  6. On the evening of Feb 4th (5-9PM) and all day Feb 5 (8:30AM-11PM) at THE RIDGE in Dayton TN Randy Harris and John Hearne will be offering Saving Your Life with a Pistol - What Matters , What Doesn't . https://www.eventbrite.com/e/harris-hearne-saving-your-life-with-a-pistol-what-matters-what-doesnt-tickets-227733044667 This is a class combining John Hearne’s epic research and lecture on "Who Wins, Who Loses, & Why: Understanding Human Performance When Death Is On The Line." with elements of Randy Harris’s “Primary Skills for the Armed Citizen” and “Defensive Concepts for Low Light Environments”. The class structure will be half of John’s lecture on Friday night from 5 - 9PM. Saturday will begin at 8:30AM with range work until we break for lunch and then we will continue with the rest of John’s lecture until the evening dinner break. After that we will return to the range for the low light portion of the class until 11PM. John's lecture is a broad survey of the most current research into human performance during interpersonal conflict. It is specifically tailored to the needs of those concerned with self-defense whether armed or unarmed. A strong emphasis is placed on understanding how the human mind works in order to optimize performance and increase one’s chance of dominating a violent encounter. Significant time is spent correcting previously offered, outdated information on human performance. Methods of optimizing training are addressed as well. (A binder with course relevant materials will be provided to students.) The shooting portions of the class will be focusing on the core skills of fighting with a handgun under realistic defensive shooting conditions and stress in both daylight and then in low light. These combat proven skills include solid robust manipulations that work under extreme pressure. This training will help with building realistic mental mapping and help you to learn to overcome the potential for panic and stay focused on the task at hand. Fights are won by applying high quality hits under pressure and that is the focus of this class. 7. I hope you don’t think that by pointing out his arrest record I was justifying his death. If he was the one stealing the stuff in the neighborhood ( and no one as far as I know has conclusively proved he was not) then he should have been arrested by the police and tried in court for it ..... not shot during an ill conceived attempt at a citizens arrest. I’m not using the truth of his recent past and current suspicious behavior to justify anything . I’m merely pointing out that this was not just some random jogger minding his own business who got shot as was being portrayed in most of the mainstream media.
  8. OK , lets not fall into the "upstanding citizen of color gunned down while minding his own business" false narrative. Arbery was caught with a gun in a high school basketball game and arrested in 2013, was arrested for trying to steal a TV from Walmart in 2017, had mental issues (diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder after a 2018 incident ) where his mom had to call the police on him where she warned the dispatcher that responding officers should be careful because he would become violent if the police were confrontational...... so lets just stop the "he was a pillar of the community" stuff. According to WTOC 11 in Savannah ....." Arbery pleaded guilty to charges he carried a gun onto a high school campus in 2013, a year after he graduated. Rodney Ellis, police chief for the Glynn County school system, testified at Wednesday’s hearing that Arbery tried to evade officers on foot and stopped only when two of them pointed guns at him. He was also arrested in 2017 on charges that he tried to steal a TV from a Walmart store. Court records show he pleaded guilty to shoplifting. Arbery was on probation at the time of his death." Being on probation from the shoplifting conviction might be a good reason to not submit to citizens arrest....He was also locally known to convenience store owners as "The Jogger " who would jog up in front of convenience stores and stop and stretch and then run inside , steal merchandise and run off. Now as to the three dumbasses that killed him.....Unlike Tennessee where you can't legally use lethal force to make a citizens arrest . under the confusing and poorly written GA law at the time of the killing it was LEGAL to use lethal force to perform a citizens arrest. That does not mean it was wise. These guys should have IMMEDIATELY called 911 and let the people who get paid to do that kind of thing arrest him. He was not committing a violent felony that needed to be stopped immediately so just get on the phone and don't go chasing him. Unfortunately emotions got the better of logic and chase was on. Now if we want to argue that the defendants were tired of stuff getting stolen in the neighborhood and that they had seen him there more than once (and he had actually been caught on at least 5 different dates on surveillance camera inside a house under construction in the Satilla Shores) then OK fine, but just like the angry dog chasing the car....what exactly did you plan to do with the car once you catch it? These guys were not just out cruising around looking for black joggers to shoot. They were chasing him specifically because they (right or wrongly ) thought he specifically was the one responsible for all the petty theft going on in that neighborhood. And MAYBE he was .... we do not KNOW for sure that he wasn't. But like I tell everyone that will listen....you REALLY need to have a very short and very well thought out and reasoned list of things you are willing to kill people over because once you interject the gun someone may well die. Even if you are within the law (and the way the confusing citizens arrest statute at the time was written they arguably were ) when the chase begins , are you prepared for what may happen if you corner him and he does not submit peacefully? What if he is not afraid of your gun? What if he tries to take it? The easiest way to avoid that bad situation is to simply avoid that situation altogether. Call the police and let them do what they get paid to do. Should they have been convicted? I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with what they got convicted of (malice murder) . Manslaughter? Yep. Criminally negligent homicide? Probably. I do not think they intended to kill him when this was set in motion . I think it was reckless and they should well have known that someone might get killed from their actions (pretty much what criminally negligent homicide is) but I don't believe they set out intending to kill the guy. They got convicted largely because they killed a guy who was not a danger to the community (at the time) but who may well have been stealing stuff in the neighborhood. You can't legally shoot people for stealing property ...especially OTHER people's property. And if your dumbassery (chasing him) set the stage for him trying to take your gun (that's when he was shot) then yeah you are kind of responsible and you are probably going to get convicted.
  9. When 30% of people (due to the mainstream media's adversarial reporting of the case ) think that the people Kyle shot were black ,I don't know that it matters who his first interview is with. There is truth and there is lie and the people who still care about the former are vastly outnumbered in the media by those who use the latter to push their leftist agenda. This is one of the most well documented (on video none the less) shootings in history and anyone who takes the time to objectively and honestly look at the evidence will conclude this was self defense. Yet here we are discussing whether who he did an interview with looks bad for him. The facts are the facts . Dude was not doing anything illegal when he went to the car lot with the rest of the group that the car dealership owners hired to keep it from getting burned to the ground and keep the cars from getting smashed. He was not "illegally carrying a rifle" , the fact that he "crossed state lines" is not only irrelevant, it is not ILLEGAL and not even illegal to do it with a semi auto rifle , it just "sounds bad" to the uneducated , so again, nothing he has done so far is illegal. When Kyle and almost everyone else on the street is threatened by a convicted child RAPIST who spent 15 years in prison (who ANALLY RAPED 5 different 9-11 year old boys while he lived with them) Kyle did not "provoke" a confrontation he avoided it until the child rapist tried to chase him down and take his rifle for which the child rapist got shot. Self defense by definition. Kyle then heads back to where the cops are stationed down the street so he can turn himself in..... So when word gets out that the kid shot one of the other protesters ( more truthfully rioters and looters, ) the chase is on, and people are running after him. It does not matter what their motivation is ( to save the day, stop the "bad guy" , murder, whatever) when they start physically attacking him , kicking him in head with shod foot, hitting him with a skateboard (aggravated assault at the least ) he has the right to defend himself from their unlawful (even if they thought it was lawful) attack. So Huber (the convicted domestic batterer) hits him with the skateboard (lethal force) and then grabs the muzzle of the rifle (lethal force) and gets shot. Self defense by definition. Then Grosskruetz (the guy who actually IS ILLEGALLY carrying a gun because he was a carrying concealed without a valid permit) runs up on Rittenhouse with gun drawn and when he points it at Kyle he gets shot . Self defense by definition. However that's not at all how the mainstream media have portrayed this case. According to them he "is a white supremacist who crossed state lines with a short barreled rifle and came there to shoot protesters" and all that crap. The media is either completely incompetent (unlikely ) or pushing a leftist agenda (ding ding ding!) and outright LYING about what happened to gin up sentiment against a kid who was trying to do something positive for the community where he works and where his dad lives. He was there guarding a business that had been looted and had inventory (cars) destroyed and he also was there attempting to render medical aid to people who needed it. Yeah he sounds terrible.
  10. And it's that easy for bad decisions to get you killed.... Once you go inside the house STAY INSIDE the house and call the cops. Don't go back outside armed and confront them. This is tragic but completely preventable.

Trigger is better than the standard mag disconnect safety guns . Cycling the slide was just a little grittier than I expected but it probably just needs to be cleaned and lubed up.
