  1. Reminder ! This one is coming up in a little over a month!
  2. Thanks Prag....and thanks for the help with keeping things moving.    Small groups of motivated individuals are a pleasure to teach because you can delve deeper into some things that just get glossed over in the larger classes. Also the students get more reps of all the drills and you can see the improvement come faster. I had a great time (other than the oppressive heat) and look forward to working with you guys again!
  3. If validation marks add character then Rn29306 had enough character(s) after the 1st day of "Zero To Five Feet Gunfighting" to put on a Shakespearean play all by himself.......
  4. The last day for you to sign up and me be able to hand you a certificate in class is probably the Thursday before the class...so probably the 25th? You can sign up after that but I'll have to mail the certificate to you after class if you are not signed up by that Thursday.   Hope to see you there!
  5. Are the stages available to see somewhere and I'm just not seeing them?
  6. And I'll have my new Sig 551-2 SBR (not a 551a1 but an actual 551-2 SBR) .   I'll also be bringing a Scattergun Technologies 14" 870 , 14" Saiga, and maybe even my 12" AOW 870.... When I put on a private shotgun class I get pretty thorough.....   By the way...we still have 2 openings available if anyone else is interested.....
  7. We are right at 1 month to go on this class!
  8. I will be teaching our Close Range Gunfighting class in Lewisburg Tn (south of Nashville on I 65) at the end of June. There is a thread in this subforum with more info.
  9. This class is limited to six students and four of the spots are taken and we decided to open up the last two spots to TGO members. This will be an intensive study in use of the shotgun for home, business, and personal defense. Looking forward to this one!
  10. This one is just over 2 weeks away.....
  11. Class went just as I expected it would...A "no BS", straight forward presentation on civilian pistol skills at the likely engagement distances for armed citizens.  The drills were relevant and required not only quick hits on target but something that some folks tend to forget about ...quick ACCURATE hits. Fast misses rarely have any effect and fast peripheral hits rarely have the fast fight stopping effect you need when a guy is 3 steps from you trying to kill you...... This class was an excellent tune up for for both the newer shooter and the more experienced .
  12. This one is getting closer!    Think about how much time we all spend in our vehicles everyday. And now think about how little we actually train to deploy our weapons from inside our vehicles. Most ranges would not even allow this  , but in this class we will actually shoot from our vehicles at different orientations to the target ( Target outside driver's side door, target outside passenger side door, target to front, target to rear , etc....)    So come on out and get the kind of real world practical training that you can't get just anywhere!
  13. I think Tom sends that when you sign up.....the range is somewhat "remote" and the class will caravan to the range from a meeting place.......   The range is on private property and somewhat remote. To simplify matters, we will all meet at one location and convoy to the range together. We will meet at 8:15 AM  at the church located at   3279 Southall Rd, Franklin, TN, 37064   We will not be leaving the range for lunch. Please be sure to bring a cooler with drinks, snacks and lunch. Bring plenty to drink, to avoid dehydration.
  14. Just under a month to go on this one....................................
  15. ONE WEEK TO GO !!!!!!!!!!!!   THERE IS STILL TIME TO GET SIGNED UP FOR TOM'S CLASS !
  16. Prag, actually your G19 would be the ideal CCP gun. Might as well shoot the biggest gun that is legal in the division.    When the IDPA" powers that be" decided to add CCP their logic was the same thing I have said repeatedly.....the G19 is probably the most carried Glock yet you almost NEVER see one being used at a big match. At the IDPA Nationals the G19 was the #1 carry gun that people filled out on the "what do you really carry " survey....yet there was only ONE competitor actually shooting a G19. WHY? Because if you can shoot a G34 in SSP why would you shoot a G19? And if you can shoot a G34 (or a full size 9mm 1911) in ESP why would you shoot a G19?    So when they wrote the CCP "specs" they pretty much measured a G19 and said THAT is the max size for this division. And limiting it to 8 rounds makes it single stack friendly. That is why some people are referring to it as the G19 division. And since ESP mods are legal for CCP then your stippled grip is legal for CCP. If I were you I'd shoot CCP with your G19.
  17. Reminder, this one is coming up at the end of May !   It is a 1 day class which means minimum time and ammo investment but I pack this full of info and reps of the drills for maximum payoff for that minimum investment so get signed up and come on out!
  18. Reminder about this one coming up in June!!!
