  1. This is coming up THIS Saturday!    Just a few days to go!
  2. I moved 3 times in 15 years but all in the same county. My dealer told me that if it is in same county it was not required.  I never did file a "change of address" until the last time I moved (still in same county) and only when I was wanting to take multiple items (that had different addresses on the form 4s and form 1s) out of state and had to fill out 5320.20 form. To eliminate any confusion at ATF I went ahead and filed my change of address before I sent in the forms to take them out of state.
  3. So....who's planning to attend?
  4. Not this time. This Saturday will be all in the 4 yards and closer interval focusing on reactive shooting (get off the X and retake the initiative) and shooting using Alternative Indexing Methods instead of a picture perfect sight picture.
  5. No worries...if you are feeling up to it you are welcome to join us in Knoxville this Saturday.
  6. No, there is a place up the road about 7 minutes called the Cabbage Bowl that we will go for lunch. It is a "Mom and Pop meat and 3 vegetables " kind of place. Of course if you prefer to bring lunch you are welcome to do that too....
  7. Just a few days to go on this one !
  8. REMINDER!!!!!!!!!!     This one is coming up in about a week and a half ! It is certainly priced right and not a major time commitment so if you are curious about what we do in our regular 1 and 2 day classes come on out and see first hand. You'll get some work on skill sets that not many instructors are comfortable with enough to teach competently - reactive shooting at close range without focusing on the sights, and you'll have some fun and meet some good people.    Looking forward to it!
  9. Awesome!  I look forward to seeing you there!
  10. REMINDER! This is coming up THIS WEEKEND! Hope to see you there.

  12. Just a few days out and I still have a few spots left if anyone else is still interested.......
  13. Cool. Look forward to seeing you there.
  14. This is only about 2 weeks out! This is an excellent opportunity to get some reps in of skills that you can't easily practice at most ranges....and it is certainly priced right for a day of training. So come on out ! And just so you know.....if you bring some extra 9mm (brass cased please) I might have some cool toys there to play with when we are done.....
  15. ONE WEEK TO GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. A week and a half to go on this one!

  18. Anyone looking for a 1 day rifle or a 1 day pistol (or a weekend covering both rifle AND pistol) this is for you!
  19.   Wow...just ......wow.
  20. TWO WEEKS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. If I felt I NEEDED a gun then I'd stay home too (or I'd take a rifle and friends with  rifles and get there when no one expected it and.....). I don't go to places (unless forced by circumstance) that  I think I'll NEED to use the gun.   Unfortunately just because I don't THINK I'll need it doesn't mean there is NO possibility that I will. I didn't THINK I'd need it sitting in a car in my parents front yard 22 years ago...but if I hadn't had it I 'd likely be dead now.    The pistol I carry is for the UNEXPECTED trouble that sometimes happens in "good parts of town" when we don't expect it.
  22. And THAT is the issue.   Not everyone is a candy a$$ panzy who will pee their pants at the sight of a gun. Some people are card carrying badasses who you will have to internally disassemble if they attack you. The problem is they do not let you know in advance which they are and you won't find out until they start taking hits.   So is it better to err on the side of caution and train for shooting them multiple times in important places as fast as you can as a default response , or is it better to just try to hit 'em anywhere as fast as you can and hope they stop? Yet there are people out there who teach that shot placement is not as important as getting a quick hit ANYWHERE on them is...... The BG in the Motel 6 scored quick peripheral hits on DeCaro first.....but they didn't STOP DeCaro...........now the BG is dead.
  23. Unless he pats them down or wands them or has a metal detector in his front door then it is not going to come up anyway if it is properly  concealed.....
  24. For those not familiar Lynne Russell not only was a long time anchor for CNN but at the same time worked as a private investigator, had a carry permit, and worked as a reserve deputy all while working at CNN. Not exactly the typical CNN anchor personality..... Her husband Chuck De Caro is a former SF soldier member 20th SF Group. These were the WRONG people to try to rob.....  For the rest of us, read the story of what happened....   How often do we consider getting in a gunfight right as we get out of the shower? With our wife in the room as potential backstop? Your gunfight might not be what you previously envisioned.....   And we see AGAIN, hits to the abdomen do NOT always stop people....De Caro took 1 to the leg, 2 to the abdomen and still killed the other guy and survived . Peripheral hits MIGHT stop someone but often do not. Plan accordingly. If your idea of marksmanship with a pistol is "minute of man" then you might want to rethink that .....
