Thanks for the reply. I usually shoot at my farm range but I liked going out there now and then to shoot with some other gun guys. I thought the ranges they had were in decent enough shape and there were always plenty of patrons on site when I went. I'll keep checking in on them periodically.

Anyone have any intel on how long the MCSC is going to be closed up in Clarksville? The rifle and pistol ranges still show closed on the website but it seems like they have been closed for over a year now for these "upgrades". I think the shotgun and archery areas have remained open during their renovations. I tried calling up there a couple of times but didn't get an answer.

Boomer the duck dog. Lost him last year to cancer and still miss him. He was a great companion in and out of the duck blind.

Nice! Don't see these very often - GLWS.

I don't blame them a bit for moving but it's still a shame to see all that history shuttered up. I took a tour there in the 80s and it was a really interesting site.

We all fall out of warranty at some point, I have a few reinforced parts as well. Had similar bone spurs taken off a couple of vertebrae 10 years ago and never regretted it. Hopefully you shoot right handed. if not, there's always light loads for therapy sessions. Good luck.

The original 600 had a vent rib. The Mohawk was a later variant and the rib went away with that model. -

Shouldn't last long, too far from me unfortunately. If you come to Nashville for any reason, I'd take it. Always liked those old 600's. -

Good thing you're all the way over in Knoxville. If you decide to come to Nashville to look at Christmas lights or something let me know... -
Good knife for edc and one for battle belt
DC551 replied to starncannon's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
I have carried Spyderco's for 30 years for EDC, carrying their ParaMilitary 2 currently. My "battle belt" knife when I was on active duty was a Randall model 14 Attack. That Randall has served me faithfully here and overseas since the mid 80's - pricey up front but they last forever. -
Smoked sausage and other things to do with deer.
DC551 replied to 10-Ring's topic in Hunting and Fishing
Thanks for the comments fellas. The mixed vegetables go in the smoker as well in a separate pan for about an hour. Had to make it look good in order to make a couple of our friends into venison converts... We eat venison all year and buy very little beef - got to get creative now and then. -
Guns and Leather Pro Shop Gone, Outpost Armory In
DC551 replied to TNContenderShooter's topic in General Chat
Went past the Greenbrier GL shop yesterday and they appear to still be in business. I stopped in a little while back after their smash & grab robbery and checked out the remodel, didn't get the vibe that they were leaving anytime soon. -

If you have a smoker, try a stuffed venison backstrap. Butterfly cut the venison, stuff with cream cheese and finely chopped onions, wrap it with bacon and put it in the smoker at 200 until it reaches 140. Pretty tasty... -
Happy Thanksgiving gun guys and gals.
