    Torture Poll

Allah is an enemy to unbelievers. - Sura 2:98 On unbelievers is the curse of Allah. - Sura 2:161 Slay them wherever ye find them and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. - 2:191 Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it. - 2:216 (different translation: ) Prescribed for you is fighting, though it is hateful to you. But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever you find them. - 4:89 O believers, take not Jews and Christians as friends; they are friends of each other. Those of you who make them his friends is one of them. God does not guide an unjust people. - 5:54 Make war on them until idolatry is no more and Allah's religion reigns supreme - 8:39 O Prophet! Exhort the believers to fight. If there are 20 steadfast men among you, they shall vanquish 200; and if there are a hundred, they shall rout a thousand unbelievers, for they are devoid of understanding. - 8:65 It is not for any Prophet to have captives until he has made slaughter in the land. - 8:67 Allah will humble the unbelievers. Allah and His apostle are free from obligations to idol-worshipers. Proclaim a woeful punishment to the unbelievers. - 9:2-3 When the sacred months are over, slay the idolaters wherever you find them. Arrest them, besiege them, and lie in ambush everywhere for them. - 9:5

    Torture Poll

So would the enemy rather be shot, bombed or napalmed in the field than taken prisoner, treated better 99% of the time than they live every day, and waterboarded once or twice? I would suspect they would chose the waterboarding. These people would cut your children's throat in a second. I have no sympathy for them. If someone breaks into my house I will shoot them. If someone wants to destroy my country they deserve no better. Glenn
  3. Don't you love how Wendi says don't post if you disagree with me. Her mind is made up and she won't be confused with facts. Glenn
  4. Sure wouldn't ask anywhere but here. Beside, I am sure the tiny little slash is perfectly good. Glenn
  5. I thought I had heard that Regal Cinemas were posted. A couple of weeks ago I went to the one downtown and could not find a sign at all. Tonight I went again and while standing in line I noticed a very small decal in the window. About halfway down was the gun and slash with two short lines of text that was so small I couldn't read it even when standing right in front of it. What gives? Has anyone seen a lawfully posted Regal? Glenn:popcorn:
  6. Good god. After reading some of the comments by the anti gunners on Channel 6's site I am about to decide the majority of Tennesseans are too stupid to even be allowed in a restaurant with or without a gun. I have never seen so much stupid mindless s... in my life. Glenn
  7. Thanks sstouder for posting it here. I should have started a new thread. Glenn
  8. 6 Listens: Would you rather be in a restaurant or bar that allows handguns or bans them? | WATE 6 News Weather Sports for Knoxville and Tennessee Libs are crying they will never eat out again. That's fine with me. I won't have to wait in line Glenn
  9. At least some of the civil rights protests were against businesses that were only doing what was legal. Excluding a certain class of people. Nice discussion KevinM. In many ways I agree with you. I guess my thinking is if the Gov. is forcing us to accept whomever they consider a protected class, then why can't we who exercise our 2A rights be protected.
  10. KevinM said: Just because govt does something, does not make it right (or even legal for that matter). I would go on a rant about the misinterpretation of the commerce clause in the Constitution but will save that for a more appropriate thread. I absolutely agree with that. Glenn
  11. Gender, age, marital status, race, religion, disability and sexual orientation can not be criteria for exclusion. That covers a lot of people and I imagine there are some other criteria I am not thinking of. Personally I think you should be able to exclude anyone you want to and then suffer the loss of business and public scorn if that is what you want to do. But since you can't I don't see any reason carry permit holders should not try to get admitted. Peaceful protest (and sometimes not so peaceful) has been a common way to make your feelings known and often to expose wrongs that are being put upon people throughout the history of this country. From the Veterans march on Washington during the Great Depression, the women's right to vote march on the White House. the Civil Rights protests, the Vietnam War protests to the recent Tea Party protests, protesting is an common form of expression in the US. It works for others, why not us. Glenn
  12. Property owners are not really the authority over their property if their property is a business. In a business open to the public I can't exclude someone because of their race, gender, nationality, physical handicap or almost any other criteria. I don't think you can even exclude girls from the Boy Scouts. Glenn
  13. Just think how sad and backward this country would be if people had not been willing to stand up and protest for their rights even when it was unpopular or even illegal for them to do so. What if Rosa Parks had thought I better not sit in the front of this bus because the white run newspapers will make me look bad. Or MLK had said we can't eat here because people will get mad. Or the colonists had not had that little tea party because the people in charge aren't going to like it. Count me in Glenn
  14. I have a problem with the knife thing. If someone is going to kick your ass and you pull a knife, you have escalated the situation. Then he might be justified in shooting you. I rely on what a friend's dad told me when I was about 14 or 15. He was a drinker, fighter, gambler and all around trouble. I am 6' 8" and about 340 Lbs. He told me if anyone wants to fight someone as big as you they are crazy, and you never want to fight crazy people. I always remembered that. Never been in a real fight in my life. Glenn
  15. The whole story is "they can allow us to exercise our rights other ways. If it is a right there is no "allow" Glenn
  16. Why can't one lying bass turd admit that others do this without problems. You would think TN was the first state ever to allow restaurant carrry. Glenn
  17. Chiefs applaud. They are nothing but politicians. Don't you know if you go in a restaurant that serves alcohol you automatically lose your mind Glenn
  18. I see what you mean about the belt. I got a wider & stiffer belt and that made a difference. I have also been moving the holster around and finding more comfortable positions. I also might try wearing a undershirt, although the horsehide is not really uncomfortable against my skin. Glenn
  19. I just completed my first all day carry of my S & W 910. I had previously been putting it or another gun in my desk drawer for most of the day. Since I recently got a Crossbreed Supertuck I thought I would try keeping it on all day. Not too bad but I don't think I ever forgot I had it on. I am pretty big around the middle and had to keep my belt a little too tight for comfort. It does conceal well though. Is anyone really able to forget they have a gun on? Glenn
  20. I just wrote and told him he has lost my vote as well. What a dumb_ _ _. Glenn
  21. This has been making the rounds but I haven't seen it here. If it has been posted before I apologize, but when I saw this for the first time it almost made me cry. Every gun owner should watch this. If we don't stand up now this is what's coming. Glenn
  22. Sorry I brought up something already discussed, but I had not seen that topic. I have to say I am a little surprised by some of the reactions. I think the recent tea parties prove that we are able to gather together and make our opinions known without going crazy. Also if anyone thinks they can get a carry permit and post to public boards like this and not have already drawn the attention of the government to themselves, they are dreaming. The news media and the government are already coming after our guns whether we are quite or loud. I for one do not plan to go quietly into the night. Glenn
  23. They are asking on their website how many would try to go to Washington and their state capital if it was on different days. I would really like to do both. Glenn
  24. Thanks for the warning. My loading books are quite old. The speer book I have lists 17 gr. as the maximum load. That much would be quite compressed by the bullet. I will definitely switch. What I am looking for is less flash. I no longer feel the need to go for maximum power in every load. Actually I shoot more 38s in that gun than 357s. Glenn
