I have noticed several posts that mention that class III items must be in the licensed owners possession at all times. Does this mean it is not legal to shoot an item owned by another person even if they are present? Forgive me if this is a stupid question but I know nothing about these laws. Glenn

I used to play back when it was called "The survival game". 10 shot bolt action pistols powered by co2 cartridges, and shooting oil-base paintballs. We were converting our guns to pump action with a piece of pvc pipe and making high capacity loaders out of 3/4" copper pipe. In the early days if you knew anything about shooting is was a great advantage since most of the people playing didn't. Glenn

Our pool is Baquacill, not chlorine. It also contains algicide, ph adjuster, and hydrogen peroxide shock. I wrote the company hat makes the chemicals and they just said don't swallow more than the little you get while swimming. Glenn

I've asked before and no one seemed to know for sure. Will filters make pool water safe to drink? Pools have some pretty strong chemicals in them. Glenn

2nd Amendment March - Monday April 19, 2010
Glenn replied to Volzfan's topic in Events and Gatherings
I really enjoyed the trip, except for getting caught in a speed trap in washington Co VA. Up in the afternoon several secret service vehicles began showing up around the perimeter of the crowd, then these 2 guys appeared on a nearby roof. You can't see it in this picture but both were wearing sidearms. One guy was wearing a very heavy flac jacket. One had very long binoculars, the other had a large rifle case which he held for a few minutes then laid down and unpacked, producing a large rifle with a long scope. Several people that had binoculars were watching them watch us. Nobody seemed bothered by them. We were just waving our flags in there direction. After quite a while of being watched, we heard a helicopter coming in low. That wasn't too surprising since there had been quite a few circling during the day. As it got closer we could see it was the presidential copter. It came over quite low, below the top of the Washington monument, passed almost over the crowd moving very slow. The copter went over trees to the left of where I am looking in this picture and could be heard landing. I then found out that is where the White House is. In a few minute the copter took off an and flew off higher and faster than it had come in. Shortly after the copter left the sniper left also. I feel pretty sure that the pres. got a look at us since I called my wife and she said the TV was showing him getting out of his chopper on the WH lawn Glenn -
2nd Amendment March - Monday April 19, 2010

I wish those were pictures of the march. Here is the actual crowd I guess 2 thousand at the most. I was disappointed at the crowd and even more disappointed to learn that the organizers were unable to get financial support Not one gun manufacturer gave any support. Only 2 even responded to decline. The NRA wouldn't give a dime but then showed up with a tent to recruit members. More later Glenn -

2nd Amendment March - Monday April 19, 2010
Glenn replied to Volzfan's topic in Events and Gatherings
Hey Olds, I made it in the ticker too. I am still going to try to go. My son wants to go with me. He is in political science at UT. I think it will be a good thing for him to see. I still have to wait and see the outcome of my wife's Dr. visit next week. I want to attend this event more than I have wanted to do anything in a long time. Glenn -
Good post. The NRA isn't perfect but without them I think we would have a lot more restrictive gun laws than we have now. Glenn

Pretty good thread. I didn't think it would get so much into religion, but that's OK. Over the years I've learned that most people are not going to change their minds on a subject quickly. Maybe over a long period of time (like getting older). I agree about the commercials. Too many and too repeated. But I understand threats of boycots have scared off most advertisers. I guess a lot of companies are afraid of free speach. Since I have been a member on this forum I have been a little surprised at some of the opinions here. Not bothered, just surprised. Glenn

I just have to note this. Thomas Jefferson wrote a book "The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazerath" also called the Jefferson bible that was published by the Congress of the US and given to every incoming freshman in congress up until the early 1920's. While president he started holding church services in the capital and at the war dept. The first English language bible published in the US was published by the Congress. There were preachers among the signers of the declaration of Independence. One was Robert Pain who was the attorney general of Mass. Glenn

Maybe, but I think is is more likely that it is because I prefer to learn something from the limited time I have to watch TV. I outgrew vulger attempts at humor years ago. To me, South park is just not funny and a waste of time. And Jon Stewert, I wouldn't give him air if he was in a jug. But thats just me. The great thing about this country is that, at least for now, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. That may change soon though if our current leaders have their way. Glenn

About the responses I thought I would get, except for the Mormon hate and the "stupid people watch him". Personally I like Beck. I find him much less annoying than Rush or O'reilly and he talks about things that very few others dare to say. I can't stand Jon Stewart or South Park Glenn

1. His research is very in depth. Seems obvious it is not done by one person 2. Haven't seen him cry much lately, but I sometimes cry too. It's called feelings. 3. I used to be a Democrat. Voted for Jimmy Carter once. Some people get smarter as they get older 4. I'm a Presbyterian. Some of my friends are Baptists, Catholics, and Episcopalians. What's your point? I guess all the smart people support Obama Glenn

I know I will probably stir up a hornets nest, but here goes. Who here watches Glenn Beck? I have become an avid watcher. I know his style puts some people off, but his depth of research about what is happenong to our country is second to none. He uses peoples own words to prove his point. Very few others are covering the truth about the history of Obama and the people he is surrounding himself with The #1 visitor to the WH is Andy Stern. 60's radical, president of SEIU and self avowed enemy of capitalism. The former Green Jobs Czar, Van Jones, a self avowed Communist that said we must rid ourselves of capitalism Regulatory Czar Cass Sundstein-believes that animals ought to be able to bring suit against humans and has called for a ban on all hunting. Anita Dunn was the white house Communications director and loves Mao Tse Tung I'll stop now, but there are plenty more. I don't think I would have known a lot of these things without watching Beck If you have never watched him, give it a try. It will open your eyes. Let the flaming begin. Glenn

First LEO encounter while carrying
Glenn replied to inspecting1's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
How did he go about getting your gun? Did he make you get out of the car while he retrieved it? Surely he didn't have you hand it to him. That seems more dangerous than just telling you not to touch the gun. Glenn -
Amen, Straight Shooter. You definitely earn your name with this post. You are shooting straight. Glenn

If you are refering to the 2nd amendment march on april 19th, they absolutely are not asking people to come armed. In fact they are telling everyone to not come armed. Glenn

Awsome videos. Back about 1969 or 1970 a friend and I were standing on a cliff top out beyond Mt Leconte when seemingly out of nowhere a jet comes up from the valley behind us skims the top of the mountain so close I felt like i could have hit it with a rock, then dropped down into the valley in front of us and and followed the valley out of sight. Amazing sight. Glenn
