I have a Contender that must be 25 - 30 years old. I have the .223 and .357 maximum barrels. The .357 maximum was a great round for the Contender. I hand loaded some extremely hot rounds that the Contender seemed to digest without complaint. Unfortunately I don't have enough brass left to warrant setting up the press. The 223 is a blast to shoot, especially at night. Quite an impressive fireball. Glenn

I just wonder, what would be the reaction here if an armed store owner shot 2 or 3 rioters that were trying to break in his store? I can just hear the media wailing "they weren't going to hurt anyone. They were just looting." I know my reaction would be why only 2 or 3. Did he run out of ammo? Glenn

My wife is taking it really hard. She lost her dad in 1984 and has been best friends with her mom ever since. I am a lucky man. Her mom did a great job and raised a loving, caring, compassionate woman. Glenn

I just feel the need to post this. Although I have never met most of you I consider you friends that I can talk to. We lost my mother-in-law wed. morning at 4 am. She had broken her hip about 6 weeks ago and at 87 with diabetes, copd, heart trouble etc she just couldn't quite recover. I know all the jokes and horror stories about mothers-in-law but after 22 years I have to say I don't have one negative memory of that smart, beautiful, funny, lady. She welcomed me into her life and I gladly included her in ours. I am going to miss her just as much as I miss my own mother. Glenn
