  1. i took time to go to the "Second Amendment march" if anyone remembers that. Very small turnout. Very disappointing. If you could really get even half a million it would be a great thing, but I doubt that will happen. Glenn
  2. I definitely won't be voting for the commie. I don't imagine Romney will be very much better. I really don't think at this point there is much that can be done. Even if we some how elected the perfect conservative potus and congress (as if we could agree on what that would be) we are already over the edge of the cliff. Falling is not so bad but that landing is what hurts. If the Gov. tried to make the cuts that are necessary, all hell would break loose, so we will just keep falling and getting closer to that painful smash at the bottom. Glenn
  3. Most things would just continue on. How many people would be willing to quit paying taxes and risk going to jail, losing their job, health insurance, etc. The entire economy is not going to stop just because the government finally reveals how corrupt it is.. Glenn
  4. Most are thinking too broad about Martial law. The Gov. won't try to physically control most of the people since they don't give a damn what happens to me or you. The imposition of martial law will just be a way to keep themselves in power by eliminating what semblance of rights we still have. If there are no elections, the people can't vote out the politicians. You really think a group of armed citizens could take back control of the Government? They are prepared to survive a nuclear war. Glenn
  5. ^Thank You^ Glenn
  6. I've always thought a piece of pvc pipe with a glue on cap on one end and a screw on cap with plenty of thread sealant on the other end, but I really don't know if pvc is totally waterproof over the long haul. Glenn
  7. I agree. But cussing you for holding the door for them pretty much moves them out of the "Lady" class. Glenn
  8. I remember during the whole women's lib thing often getting cussed for holding the door for a woman. My answer was "My daddy bought me to hold the door for a lady. I guess he didn't know that not all women are ladies." That would usually just get me cussed again. I generally hold the door for anyone that is behind me. It's just the way I was raised. If I forget, my wife never fails to remind me. I don't really care if they say thanks. Glenn
  9. If there were nothing else, the fact that Romney is a Capitalist and Obama is a Socialist/Marxist is enough for me. Glenn
  10. If you are interested, Gatlinburg has a distillery and a winery that give away free samples. You don't want to forget you are carrying and indulge in the free samples. Glenn
  11. Does anyone know of a decently priced source of brass 223 in knoxville? I have been meaning to order some and just put it off. Now may have a chance to go shooting tomorrow and all I have is a can of Tula steel case, and my AR hates it. Some stick so tight they have to be hammered out. I have shoot a few mags of assorted brass case and haven't had one failure. My local Wally World (South) only has 20 rd boxes. Glenn
  12. Fixed that for you. Glenn
  13. There is an election coming up. He would say anything he thought might get him votes. He doesn't even know the difference between lies and truth. He just says whatever fits the moment. Glenn
  14. ^^^THIS^^^ God I miss Freedom!!!! The thought police are here and many people think it's a good thing. Glenn
  15. At the theatre entrance outside the mall, to the left of the door was a preprinted permanent looking sign with full legal posting. On the doors themselves were paper signs saying for the safety of our patrons blah, blah blah, no guns allowed. Since I was already there with my son and a friend of his, I locked up my carry gun and went on in. I won't be going back though. It felt good to know nothing bad could happen because "no guns allowed"
  16. I am sick of hearing "no one needs an AR15" and "no one needs a 100 round clip" (I know it's a magazine but the idiots on tv seem not to). Since when are we only allowed to have what we NEED. No one needs a car that goes over 75. No one needs a house over 1,200 sq ft. Let's outlaw fast cars and big houses. Glenn
  17. Just got home from a movie there. Since it was after 6 on sunday, the mall was closed. There is an entrance to the theatres between them and the mall. It is posted. Glenn
  18. Anyone know if the new Foothills cinema is posted? Glenn
  19. "our freedom trail"?????? Where the ____ does he get off calling it that. It is "The" freedom trail. It doesn't belong to him or his city. Obviously he doesn't understand freedom. I am going to have to quit reading anything related to politics or get my Dr. to up the dose on my antidepressants. Glenn
  20. If you know anyone that has QuarkXPress on their Mac, they can create a block of text that contains the names of all the offending politicians, then hit: command, option, shift, delete. A little alien plods in from the edge of the screen and blasts the offending text with a ray gun, making it change color then disappear. I wish I knew how to record it. Glenn
  21. Just heard Michael Savage railing about drum mags. "Why should anyone be allowed to have a drum mag" he said. And he calls himself a libertarian. Glenn
  22. The first can go just as fast as the second. Senate votes on the disclose act tomorrow. Some say it's the beginning of the end for the first amendment . Hell there is already a long list of things you can't say. Glenn
  23. I haven't read Duncan's reasoning about the debt ceiling vote, but the National Taxpayers Union named him the most frugal member of the house. He votes against higher spending almost all the time. Look, I think almost every member of the house and senate should be replaced, but Duncan is way down on my list of one's too worry about. Glenn
