1. Yep. I hope to get better accuracy. I can do that well with the iron sights on my other Mosin
2. I am guessing we will know soon
3. Finally got a chance to shoot my recently acquired Mosin Sniper. My son and I went to Norris Saturday. I was surprised to see they have added a new shorter handgun range. The rifle side was running over. We had to wait about 45 minutes to get a spot. I would say the scope was off about 5 feet at 100 yards. It took a while to get it on the paper, since I am the first to admit I don't know much about scopes. With some help from the guy at the next bench I finally got to hitting in the general area of what I was aiming at. My least bad 5 shot group was about 7 or 8 inches. I blame myself more than the gun since I had carpel tunnel surgery on my right hand less than a month ago and I was unable to grip the gun tightly. We had a great time anyway and can't wait to shoot some more/
4. I don't know if this has anything to do with the current tragedy, but something that always bothers me is the experts insist that violent movies and video games can't possibly affect someone's mind but companies spend millions of dollars on 30 second commercials to get people to act the way they want (buy something).
5. Hoffa has already threatened violence, and union thugs are already committing  it. Did you see them rip up the tent and beat the reporter?
6. What I was referring  to was that the White House has not condemned the violence and threats of violence  by the Unions. Can anybody say brownshirts?
7. I see where the unions are predicting civil war over the right to work laws in Mich. Hoffa is predicting spilling of blood. And not a peep from Obama, who is always calling for civil discourse. I don't think he minds at all if the union thugs commit some violence against his opponents. I guess I just have my tin foil hat on.   Glenn
8. In the old days, the news reported actions and events. The truth was fairly easy to see. This happened, that happened, so many dead, etc. Now the news, while reporting events, is more about plans, meaning, interpretation, motivation, etc. Much harder to know what, if anything, is true.
9. I once saw a crate of Mosins with the lid replaced with glass, used for a coffee table
10. I always thought most coaches were strictly about the money. Guess i was wrong.
11. It was just announced that Louisville's Charley Strong has turned down the offer from TN. It appears we will have to settle for another low tier coach, which may mean the end of TN as a football school for a long time to come.
12. I think Rick is sliding towards the edge. The pressure of leadership and all the tragedy is getting to him.

Genealogy

+1 on the Ancestry subscription. Also, a computer program such as Family Tree Maker (PC) or Reunion (Mac) will really help with organization.
14. http://blip.tv/davidhorowitztv/bill-whittle-6444929 Great explanation of what the Republicans need.

Book Binding

I have heard of this place http://gildedleafbindery.com/. I have never used them so this is not a recommendation.
16.
I thought Michonne was about to finish off the Govna'. What a cliffhanger. Come on February.
I was hoping she was going to pick upon of those heads and put it on him
17.
Could you clarify that progression a little bit? I'm lost how they can go from a BB gun to mass murderer without having an AK and Glock
The term"real guns" would be AK's and Glocks. All real guns are AKs and GLOCKS.
18. Everybody know that toy guns are a "gateway" toy. They start with a toy gun, next thing you know they are trying bb guns, which leads to real guns, which leads to mass murder.
19. it's OK to celebrate an Islamic holiday, just not Christmas
20. This is now Amerika. The evil rich should pay it for her
21.
drawn into that it is a threat. I dunno, I guess I don't get it. The website the OP linked too sort of made me wonder WTF, how do reasonable people buy into this. I can't go off the deep end with you guys. Gotta stop reading these types of threads. I can't go through life thinking everyone is out to get me, even if I am paranoid. and to add, I think some here see tyranny in the Salvation Army. I think this quote sums it up nicely Nucky: Obviously I offended you in some way but since you're a man who can find an insult in a bouquet of roses, I'm not sure quite how.
Aww, you're no fun at all
22. Good to know. I called TWRA several months ago to ask about shooting a deer that was seriously injured by a car. The woman I talked to (the next day when it was too late) said I could shoot the deer if it didn't violate any laws against discharging a firearm, but could not take possession of the deer without TWRA permission. ps: i didn't want possession since the deer had obviously been injured for quite some time.
23. My wife's cousin lives in south Knoxville, not as far out as Seymour. He shoots on his property sometimes. He says the sheriff usually comes, says someone called and he has to come out. They chat awhile, deputy may shoot a few times, then goes on his way. Seems like a hassle, but not illegal.
24. I am pretty sure it is illegal to harvest a roadkill deer without permission from the TWRA. At least thats what they told me.
25. Mosin Mania. Why else would a person buy 60 to 100 year old rifles as shooters.
