It appears that some of the spending cuts will come by making social security "Need" based, which turns it into another welfare vote buying program. You paid in but we don't think you need it so you don't get anything back. Just when I thought my opinion of the federal gov couldn't get any lower, they find a way.

I know I am as guilty as the next guy, but I propose we quit using the term assault rifle for semi autos. We all know this is just used to fire up the idiots that don't even know what they are talking about.  I suggest "scary black rifle" I am going to make a point of not using the A word.

I know this requires speculation, but would a "scary black rifle" ban likely include NFA items? Did the previous ban? A full auto with a 10 round magazine sure loses some appeal.

The Gov. tells us what kind of lightbulbs we can buy, what kind of toilet we can buy, and is working on what size soft drink we can buy. Any one that thinks they won't tell us  what kind of guns we can have has their head in the sand.

Schizophrenia often begins in the early 20's. Could easily be a factor.

Just turned on the tv and Piers was on shouting down john Lott. Piers refused to hear facts. Just kept screaming that Lott was a lier. Piers said he new a Dr that had treated tens of thousands of assault weapon wounds. (Really?) They turn the body and bones to jelly and are rarely survived. A weapon of mass destruction. Some so called expert said the 2nd amendment only applies to muskets which took 20 MINUTES to load and rarely hit anything. That was all I could stand to watch. Friggin limey. GO HOME

If the NRA caves on this they are finished. I know I won't be a member of an organization  that considers me a potential mass murderer because I own an inanimate object.

Just saw where "The NRA is prepared to offer meaningful contributions to help make sure this never happens again," in other words we are caving too.

Hey num nuts, since when is freedom based on need. Nobody "needs" a basketball team. Nobody needs a car that goes over 65 mph, and plenty of people are killed because of driving too fast. With the way things are going, economy in the toilet and about to flush, gun control coming, whole world going to hell in a handbasket, I am beginning to hope the Mayans were right.

I know someone that is seriously considering leaving the US. Most places he has studied have problems of their own. Unstable governments, poor infrastructure, corrupt law enforcement, etc. I am anxious to see what he finally comes up with.
