  1. Christie won't get it. Fat is the last acceptable prejudice.
  2. Does anyone know if the Russian match is really better than the regular surplus?
  3. We went. We saw the posting. Went anyway. Spent $9. Don' need to go back
  4. Just read postings in Georgia have no legal weight. Carry it is.
  5. We are in Atlant and the wife wants to go there
  6. Quote "According to the legislation, this new federal police force is empowered to “make arrests without warrant for any offense against the United States committed in their presence, or for any felony cognizable under the laws of the United States if they have reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed or is committing such felony.”   Say WHAT?
  7. I see it now. Gun ownership is a disease. The only cure is to take away your guns.
  8. I used to winter hike a lot in the 70's and 80's. We either couldn't find or couldn't afford a lot of ultralight gear. It was not unusual to start out a 4 or 5 day winter trip with 50 to 60 lbs in an external frame pack. Once played pack mule for several older people and carried 110 lbs up Leconte. Probably why I have the knees of an 80 year old man.    Winter was the only time I liked to go. I was in the mountains the weekend it got to -24 in knoxville. Our thermometer just went to -30 and passed that early in the day.
  9. I would be interested.
  10. Since I was shooting at clay pigeons, not much to take pictures of.
  11. We used to make black powder too. Pretty crude stuff though, and we were buying the ingrediants. Gathering them in the wild would add a whole new level of trouble. I believe the saltpeter mined in the south came from bat guonno in caves. Don't know where they got sulphur.
  12. That's what we called a white mans fire. White man builds a big fire and sits far away. Indian builds a small fire and sits close.
  13. Close the border first. Stop the influx THEN we can begin a discussion about what to do with the ones that are here.
  14. On any except the cheapest saws, $60 is a small amount to pay for saving a finger. Even if your finger is dry, once the saw begins to enter it will be plenty wet. Seems like a good idea to me. As a former carpenter, I can attest to the fact that after long day you can get careless.
  15. But we need to ban guns anyway
  16. Don't forget a small hatchet to split wood. The bottom dead limbs on pine trees are usually fairly dry.  If you can find a down rotten pine that you can bust up easily, you will find knots that are full of sap and don't rot as quick. they will light easily and burn a long time. I repeat what others have said. NO COTTON. Polypropylene Or other synthetic long underwear will keep you warm and wick the moisture away from your skin. Have fun
  17. :screwy: If only they could take away my rifle, that would not have happened :screwy:
  18. What i think of Boxer and her type would get me banned by Alex Jones
  19. If people are so afraid of our freedom, they are welcome to LEAVE
  20. Hey David great to put a name with the face. That m44 had an incredible trigger. Not many good shooting days right now. Would love to see that 91/30. Maybe we will cross paths at Norris again.
  21. I believe Lowes has high quality bolts, you just have to look for them. What you want are grade 8 bolts.

    Decockers

Do not completely trust ANY mechanical device.  They can all fail. [/quote] That's why I am scared of striker fired pistols
