  1. They were against amnesty but said the leadership had already assured that the house would pass a bill then the final s__t would come out of committee. The illegal problem would be solved forever because there would be no more illegals. Step across the border and you're legal. Poof, no more illegals.
  2. The toaster oven thing is real neat, and interesting the finish works on bullets so well. Haven't studied powder coat except years ago admiring the powder coat finish on some electronic chassis we would get made up.

Another "well duh"-- Wonder if powder coat paint is "in the same ballpark" as laser toner? The laser toner is also incredibly fine round plastic beads, powder that will mess you up if you happen to breath much of it. And the principle works with static electricity to adhere the toner then a fuser roller to melt the powder into the paper.

Just thinking-- Laser toner even in bulk might be more expensive than powder coat paint, but mebbe you could coat bullets (or paint items) with laser toner? Or maybe you could even print with powder coat paint? Of course, even if you could paint with laser toner, you would have to either be happy with black, cyan, magenta or yellow, or maybe you could mix the powders for other colors.

Laser toner melts under 300 degrees. Some of the Xerox toners melt at 265. Too low I would think for bullets

  3.

Obama could shoot someone in the head on national TV and nothing would come of it. I am being serious in that serious about that too.

He really already has. He has stated that he can give orders to kill anyone he wants too, and has done so.

  4. What does it matter who declared what?  There was no law that said we had to defend ourselves. That said, if you truly believe that it was our fault that Hitler declared war on us; that even after taking all of Europe and Russia he would have just stopped there then I'd suggest that you don't have a very firm grasp of Hitler, his goals, or the danger he presented to the entire world.

You stated that your "grandfather fought in the war and he was a good man, but his generation did enough to screw this country up, it's hard to separate the few good things they did for this country with the awful road they allowed us to be taken down". How could your grandfather be a "good man" if he and every other person part of his generation is responsible for the "awful road" the country has gone down since?

If you truly believe the people who fought (including those who died) in WW2 to keep the United States in existence didn't qualify for any acknowledgement because of the bad policies that occurred during that generation then it sounds as if you believe we would have been better off had they either never went to fight in the first place or had lost the war since, apparently, that "awful road" negates their blood and sacrifice in the fields of Europe and the islands of the Pacific.

If you want to believe that our WW2 veterans did nothing for us and qualify for no special consideration that's your prerogative but I think you have a very slanted view of what the world was facing at that time.

As to the bases; maybe we are there because we still have enemies and trying to hide behind our oceans would be a stupid thing to do???

By the way, maybe I just missed it but what great, wonderful and noble things has your generation done for the country???

    Robert,

There are a lot of thing I disagree with you on, but this thread ain't one of them. Right on.

  5. Thanks for that, I will certainly have to get t hat album. After discovering Joe Bonnamassa, it's opened up my ears to a whole new genre of music, "Electric Blues". I've always known about Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Kenny Wayne Sheppard, but after creating a station on Pandora based on Joe, I discovered the likes of Buddy Guy, Melvin Taylor, Johnny Winter, Walter Trout, etc.I don't even listen to my old classic rock standards anymore.I can't get enough of this style of music.

I've been a fan of Johnny Winter since 1969 and Buddy Guy almost as long. Both have been in Knoxville in the last year or so and can still wear it out.

  6. I keep thinking about those pictures of the Boston bombers shooting it out with the cops in the middle of the street. I'd like to think that in my neighborhood, those guys would've been taking rifle fire from at least one second story window.

I know a camera wouldn't be the first thing I'd grab.

    I thought the same thing.

  7. I've watched quite a few episodes of "Finding Bigfoot" and I've look at the "BFRO's" website (http://www.bfro.net/  ).

I've always been curious about things like this...mysterious animals that no one knew existed until someone actually found one or unknown civilizations, etc. so part of me would like to think these animals exist.

On the other hand, I really have a difficult time believing that we don't have significant physical evidence (like a captured bigfoot of a dead body) to prove they are real.

    What do you think???

I've watched that show too. They couldn't find a Squatch if it was trying to mate with them. As soon as they here or see something the least bit unusual, they start hollering or running around like crazy. Any self respecting bigfoot will look for someone else to reveal itself to.
