  1. That's what she said??
  2. They're definitely less common than estate sales or pawn shops with guns (and generally less obvious, you might have to ask) but they do exist. Now, the $25 .22 or $20 shotgun is something I can't say I've ever bumped into. Sure would love to though!
  3. Take your time, find something vintageb to antique in your caliber of choice (I like 44mag/spl, 30-30, and 32spl) that's in acceptable aesthetic and good working condition and don't look back. If it's a little beat up but still in good working order, it just means it got a lot of love and use from the previous owner(s). Estate sales, garage sales, pawn shops, etc are worth checking out.
  4. Eat your heart out PCP cannibals!
  5. Is the silver color actually a finish? I know some pistols that are available with stainless as well as black slides are simply sold with bare stainless and only "finished" in some way if sold as black.
  6. Yeah. I've been chewing on this a lot.
  7. A gunsmith I know had this response for me when I asked about 380 vs 9mm: "Wait here. I'm going to go stand at that end of the counter, and I'll shoot you with a 380. We'll see how effective it is." For folks who can't make a 9mm work for whatever reason, it's a good option. Those people do exist, and they have a right to self defense even if (especially if) they're not a strong as you or I may happen to be. Any round that someone is willing and able to practice with enough to become proficient is better for that shooter than any other round which they're not willing or able to practice with. As I said before, the 9mm version of the 380 EZ is already on the market as the Shield. That's about as good as they're going to be able to make it, because physics.
  8. So what you're getting at is that we shouldn't believe what they're saying because we read it on the internet? Didn't you write that on the internet? I've gotta ask: Why should I believe you?
  9. This is interesting. Thanks everyone!
  10. Makes sense. Thanks!
  11. Could you expand on this? Do you mean black doesn't exist in vegetation? Zebras, gorillas, mountain lions, bears, tigers, various monkeys all have at least some black on them. I'm asking because there's obviously something here for me to learn. Thanks!
  12. You're right about the difference in the main spring. The 9x19 EZ is already on the market, it's called the Shield.
  13. Thanks @I40Bandit!
  14. Thank you @I40Bandit for the five into capabilities. You posted a screenshot of importable file types, would you post something similar for exportable file types? Thanks again!
  15. Hey brother, be careful with this. We don't want word getting out that our projects aren't, in fact, very difficult. Or, god forbid, that we actually have fun doing them.
  16. I keep thinking this topic is about a very niche kindof dating service...
  17. I was thinking, "Ahhh... Just like mama used to make!"
  18. Will be interested to learn what you think of it.
  19. Probably not noticably better than a 308 though, and less versatile. If you want to maximize energy within 50 yards or so, (like for beat hunting) why not go with a 12 ga slug?

    FTF Sale

Not even that. It could be stolen from the person you (rightfully) trust, and then used for all manner of stupidity.
  21. No, I think that's what you're reading into his reply. I think it was a couple of points about shipping s firearm, not intended to be a comprehensive list of steps.
  22. Thanks for the update. Sounds like you've mostly got the new tricks sorted out, it's just a matter of learning them.
  23. A website called Pirate 4x4 has some threads you might be interested in. Have a look if you haven't already.
  24. Mixing stimulants and depressants is not a good idea. Plus this looks like it would be awful.
