  1. "And that's how we make sure everyone cleans their plates!"
  2. Oh, I don't know. I think you'd have to be a psychopath to intentionally shoot your friend. And, I mean, what else would you call someone who's broken into your house twice?
  3. Good point. The other difficulty with "when you realize you're lost..." is actually realizing/ admitting that you're lost. The situational awareness and humility required can make that difficult.
  4. This has reminded me that, in hunter's safety, we were taught to just sit tight and work on shelter if we should find ourselves truly lost. Is that something that's taught in TN?
  5. 7.62x54r has plenty of horsepower, so unless that's something really odd like a thin varmint type jacket in a 200gr bullet those should be fine. It says "loaded in Russia" so I wouldn't be shocked if that's something the locals use for big game. I understand the caliber is popular there for that application.
  6. I just wanted to put a little sharper point on something that you checked back to at the end of your post. Sharing your plan isn't particularly useful if you don't stick to your plan.
  7. I was giving @deerslayera hard time, nothing serious. I do genuinely hope that someone who finds themselves in a position to have to pass up a bargain in order to meet their obligations can do so without reservations or regrets.
  8. YOU'RE KILLING ME, SMALLS!!
  9. Holy cow! And you tell people about that?! Do they kick you, too?
  10. I was just wondering if there are any classes beyond the basic permit qualification type offered for folks with physical limitations. (And especially taught by instructors with physical limitations.) I'm not looking for specific recommedations (I'm out of state) but feel free to provide them in case others might benefit.
  11. I'm pretty sure those are women. Typically among the more effective measures to be employed against men.
  12. This thread is worth a read:
  13. Does what you intend to sell already exist as its own distinct parcel (in the legal sense)? Is your neighbor buying a piece that adjoins their property? "No" to either of those questions might complicate things. You're probably best off calling your County's Register Of Deeds or land management department to ask them about local requirements that apply to your specific case. Lawyer and/ or surveyor might be prudent in any case, to protect both your and your neighbor's interests.
  14. Yeah, I misread that title. Thought this was going to be one of those "positive review" type threads. I mean, it's a nice fish and all, but I'm still a little disappointed...
  15. My experience has been similar. I emailed to ask if they could help me find a source for a couple extra tripod adaptor plates for a tripod they haven't sold in a couple of years, they sent me four at no charge.
  16. Or thinking about John Wayne selling Hondas.
  17. @Dirtshooter have you adopted or fostered many kids? Those unborn children need a place to grow and be nurtured, and I have confidence in your ability to mold them into the leaders of tomorrow!

    Savage 99

It feels almost blasphemous to mention in this thread, but one of the Ruger 96 guns might be convertible without too much trouble. Of course, they have some collector value as well.
  19. Asking the same set of people the same set of questions over time is good science. Not necessarily what happened in your case, but a group doing this might be trying to gauge the impact of an ad that has been run during the time between the two polls, or simply to get an idea of attitude shift over time.
  20. This might be the scariest picture in this whole thread...
  21. Hey now, wait just a-. Oh yeah, you're right.
  22. So can you drive through with a cigarette in your mouth, no shirt on, and a dog in back, then sit in the parking lot and avail yourself of the WiFi?
  23. Was yours one that used a standard AR lower and fed from those AR-AK mashup magazines? Those seem less practical than the newer ones that use standard AK mags in a lower that's non-standard.
  24. Nor me. I also really would like to see the questions as asked. There can be world of difference between questions that get lumped together for summary and discussion.
  25. THAT'S IT! NO MORE GROCERY SHOPPING FOR ANYONE!!
