  1. And that cool factor is why I forked out $225 dollars OTD. Seems like an old Egyptian Enfield.
  2. Gentlemen Opinions please. Looks like an Enfield frame. Got a bunch of Arabic writing. Bought it because it sparked my interest. Thoughts?
  3. Worth is irrelevant in this instance. It could be worth $1000 untouched or $100 in the condition I have put it in. Makes no nevermind to me. It's not leaving my possession until my son or grandkids come of age.
  4. I really don't. I know he stripped it and blued it and then did it again because it got a nick in the bluing dip pan. Hes out of Kempner, TX at Texas Star Shooting Range if interested .
  5. I had a TNArms AR a few years ago amd am currently waiting for some of their lowers to ship. Hello AR9 SMG!
  6. I want to say it was 1912 or 1914. Cant remember but its an early one. ***EDIT*** 1911 year model
  7. Not a Chance. The only things i have from him are this Colt and a Model 11 Remington 20 gauge .
  8. A buddy from my Army days runs a gunsmithing shop in Central Texas and did his magic on my late Grandfather's ole Colt he use to slip in his pocket coon hunting. I think it turned out great.
  9. well one thing i wont run out of is Chicken Eggs... Dang hens have hit a laying spurt. One of them is dropping a double yolker a week, the poor gal . Shouldnt run outta of deer meat either. Bullets.... well depends on how many "purgers" come in my yard.
  10. Glenfield Model 25 bolt action with a little scopey scope. I can hit a pop can at 20 yards. good enough for a $60 rifle
  11. @Chucktshoes He also left you negative feedback! lol i can no longer do business with you anymore.. you dont have perfect credit
  12. Good Kill Bud!
  13. Finally wrangled up my wife a Model 70 with probably the finest trigger I have seen to match my model 70. 1953 M70 in 257 Roberts in a standard grade with a Weaver K4 atop it. Goes very well with my 1950 M70 in 30-06 dressed in SuperGrade with a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10 I (I mean my wife) has always wanted a 257 Roberts and was preparing to start rebuilding a 98 Mauser chambered in it when this jewel popped up.
  14. Anybody have any 257 Roberts brass laying around that theyd part with a box worth or so? Or would want to press some for me? I have my own bullets, but just bought the rifle and projectiles. Probably have 75 of them. Maybe do some trading on pressing some for me for the remainder of the bullets? *idea* Im located just west of Nashville near Dickson.
  15. Ivory Tip Outfitters out of Craig, CO.
  16. Seems that the 257 is starting to make a comeback. There's been alot of them popping up on TNDeer.com and the demand is high.. Same for the ammo for them though. Im in the middle of building one on a Turkish Mauser. It's been rebarreled. Planning to drill/tap for a 2-7x33 Leupold and a Boyds thumbhole stock.
  17. If the guy still has it this weekend when I head to West Tennessee, I am going to scoop it up for sure.
  18. If you happen to have any pictures of your 721 handy, please feel free to share them.
  19. I know it would be fun to have just to have people look at you when you tell them what you have lol. Looks to be right around a 300 WinMag in terms of ballistics. Ive always liked the 721/722 stocks with the high Fajen comb. Would probably sit very well next to my 70 and 336.... Or beside the 130 year old Belgium double
  20. Any of you high class animals have any experience with the 300 H&H round? I found one in a Model 721 Remington and aside from very expensive ammo, i was wondering about the pros and cons of owning one. I currently shoot a Winchester M70 pre-64 in 30-06 and just looking for a new play toy because well, why not?
  21. I hunted behind the house today in Hickman. My brother killed a 140" deer out of my stand behind my dads in West Tennessee this morning as well.. He's done tagged out and never sat in HIS stand the first time this year.
  22. Tagged out in Tennessee!
  23. My 336 Dad gave me when i was 10. My son is turning 10 next year and will get it. Ole 30-30 has killed about all my adopted brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews first deer, not to mention mine as welll
  24. It was a DIY hunt, however, I have an old family friend that lives there and had camp and trail cam photos so it seemed more like an outfitter hunt.
  25. I was in 34. That elk was killed about 300 yards from the Res Fence! Small world
