  1. Manufacturers should just cut frames to directly accept a Holosun k x2 and be done with it. (a bit of Holosun snobbery)
  2. Just an observation: People who get into long range competition shooting are usually willing re-barrel their guns as needed. If you are just hunting with one, would think burn out is not your most pressing issue.
  3. Nice gun. The P365 has turned into quite a success for Sig. Must ask though, is that the mfrs box? Seems small.
  4. "An individual is NOT allowed to build an 80% frame with the intent to sell it, but it's still legal to sell it, say if the original builder has had it for some length of time and no longer wants it" Your statement seems to answer the question. However, If such a firearm were used in a defensive shooting, it would seem to make any a civil lawsuit more complicated to defend in a jury trial. Could just be my perspective.

  6. Heard that. My price was with the Food City discount. Every bit helps
  7. Not trying to be a smart arse, but what is the BIC lighter for. Cannon fuses?
  8. Welcome! TN is a nice place to be Just gassed up my ride for $2.69 a gallon. Can't imagine how much Cali is. Personally, I like the scenery and weather here too. And yes, the great TN people.
  9. Welcome to TGO. Were almost neighbors, Sevierville
  10. Welcome and enjoy the board.
  11. Would not consider washed primers to be what I develop a load with, Have washed more than a few loaded rounds (38 spl). That's because I sometimes miss the speed strip in my trousers. They all fired, but those were sealed loaded rounds. Just take the loss...seriously!
  12. Pm sent
  13. My edc outfit recently changed to include with the firearm, light and iPhone: 1-Pepper or Bear Spray (depending on destination) 2-Slim folding pocket knife with 4 1/2" blade....think razor sharp -Reason for adding spray is a recent bear encounter while walking in my neighborhood -Reason for adding razor sharp knife is that that I often forget to shaving in the morning due to being retired
  14. Good luck on your exploration Have a lot of respect for the design and history of that rifle. Don't have the means to afford one for fun.
  15. A somewhat belated welcome. Only ever sold one Sig....which I hadn't.
  16. Welcome to E TN. I sure am glad to be here. Good weather and great people!
  17. Welcome and enjoy!
  18. Think Cali already does this and more. We know how safe that State has become since that law was implemented in 2019
  19. I can guarantee that when I get through with my last and sole remaining 1911 it will feel a hundred years old Off to work on that. Less talk, more banging!
  20. That would be nice. One of the reasons I went with the PC carbine was because I have so many Glock mags. Guess you have a lot of M&P mags?
  21. They are totally evil. Will make you think about nothing but shooting with them. Will quickly drain your bank account because of 9mm ammo purchases. Initially had the m-lok forend version, but prefer the stock forend now. Wonder if a 10mm is in the offing...probably not.
  22. Well actually that was not rip on you. What I intended was that failures to feed "could" be in part due to the aluminum ammo. So the gun "may" be better than it seemed in your post. CCI aluminum is good ammo, but neither perfect nor the benchmark for reliability. I used it alot in 9mm and found it quite adequate for classes, etc. I preferred my own brass reloads for ANY competition. Not that the CCI was bad but it is a bit different from brass case ammo. How? Glad you asked. For one, the crimp on the projectile does not seem as firm as on brass cases. That makes sense as aluminum does not have the elasticity. While 9mm worked ok in the guns I used. 38 spl. could be problem as their aluminum cases lacked any significant crimp. Gave up on them for bug matches as they projectiles could work forward under recoil and jam the revolver. I had this happen once on a 45 acp Kimber Carry II during qualification. So, my point was about the limitations of this ammo. Hope that clears things up. Glad you posted your experience. Happy Days !
  23. btw, If you want to mount the Holosun check to see if someone makes an adapter plate to save the grinding down. See if one of these is right for your setup: https://chpws.com/product/springfield-hellcat-to-holosun-407k-507k-adapter-plate/ https://www.calculatedkinetics.us/products/hellcat-osp-to-holosun-407k-507k-eps-carry
  24. Had to shave off two posts and slightly shorten the two remaining ones. Had a smith do it, but only charged 35 bucks. Just put some cold blue on top of the ground posts, seems to bee all that is needed. My smith has a milling machine so the work was clean with no damage to slide. Still, it is a pain to have to do this.
  25. Ahhh, apparently my benefactor status was not up to date.
