  1. Listed it on Craigslist got offers already. Guess no one here needed it and that is good, in a way. Stay safe my friends
  2. I run a room dehumidifier in the room where my ammo is stored. I never store loaded ammo, powder or primers in a non climate controlled garage or room. Have no way of testing it, but suspect the steel ammo cans with a rubber seal prevent some of the seasonal moisture from getting in. The advantage of a whole room dehumidifier is that it helps keep the guns dry as well. Disadvantage to the portable electric dehumidifiers is that they are noisy. Every summer I weigh the advantages of having a whole house dehumidifier installed. Havent pulled the plug on that yet. Notice that I am not as concerned as much about the rest of the house as I am about my guns and ammo
  3. Yup, 99 lbs. It has a built in bale to help roll it around on the back wheels, like a wheelbarrow. Its impressive, just too big for me to lift on my own. Hell, my 1911 is too heavy to lift with one hand anymore
  4. WEN 56380i Super Quiet 3800-Watt RV-Ready Portable Inverter Generator with Fuel Shut-Off and Electric Start ftf Sevierville or surrounding area, $650 cash Current model, had for about a year. Works absolutely great and looks new. Is kept in my garage only. No issues with it, am selling because I want a propane powered genie which is also lighter. Comes with optional Wen cover and Wen magnetic oil dipstick. Message me and will provide phone number.

    Gen 5 Glock 19

Yep and there is where my opinion comes from. I reload for accuracy and low recoil (speed). Hence the factory springs work fine for me. I have been accused of using talcum powder rather than gunpowder

    Gen 5 Glock 19

I was trying not to offend Some people are adamant that you must have a full length steel guide and enhanced spring. Personally, I think Glock got it right.

    Gen 5 Glock 19

On my gen gen iii19 got brass in face using an aftermarket one piece recoil spring. Glock springs did not do that. Not sure why one would and the other not???
  8. Then again to put everything into perspective...I’ll never buy steak in a restaurant again due to prices.
  9. Places like Bud’s here in Sevierville have had 20 buck Rem or Blazer for awhile. Meant that Isee others charging 22 for same. Price going wrong way for me.
  10. I love it bought bought a similar a few months ago at gun show, Yours is a more than fair price, imo, Best of Luck!
  11. Nice gun. Love those grips.
  12. Haven't had any issues with several rifles sighted in. In fact it is my go to for initial sight in as can use less ammo getting poi to match pop. Now when someone else shoots a scoped rifle I have sighted in have noticed they will be a bit off sometimes. A friend of mine shoots to the left with a scope, not sure why.
  13. End of year and not much has changed. In fact it seems that new 9mm jacketed target ammo just went up a couple of bucks per 50. Have made the transition to 22lr for most of my handgun shooting. A couple of days ago was introducing a friends son in defensive shooting (ask, not shooting self in foot). He wound up shooting a 100 or so of my 9mm reloads doing holster drills. Told him to bring his own in the future.
  14. Did you win and if so how much. I had the entry level model but didn't like the build quality, yours may be much better.
  15. OH, if you get a .357 get at least a 4" barrel. Don't fall for a super light snubby if hunting.
  16. Whichever floats your boat. I love the .1911 but always feel safer with a revolver. Why, it has no safety just a long sure trigger pull. As long as you loaded it, you don't have to worry about there being a round in the chamber. jmo, others may have a different slant on things.
  17. In addition to what has been said....be sure to get a set of reloading dies. Rolling your own is about the only way to go with .357 now a days.
  18. Microstamping boondoggle in CA.
  19. No revolver love on here?
  20. Not a new theory. There has been documentation of the melting ice causing the gulf current to shift further south. As to a sudden climatic shift like in the movie...well that was HOLLYWOOD!
  21. If it is a carry gun, go for the more concealable yet manageable gun, that would often be the 9mm version.
  22. Thought the lower limit for hydrostatic shock was 2200fps. You shooting magnum 40's? Just in good humor!
  23. Am not speaking as an expert, however suspect the problem may be a auto brightness setting on you red dot. Have two pistol mounted Sig Romeo 1 pro red dots and a lowly Crimson Trace (carbine). All are manually adjusted for brightness and all work fine in complete darkness. If your red dot has an auto brightness feature it may be turning the dot down too low in darkness for your eyes. Check the user manual to see if you can adjust this or go to full manual brightness settings. Have heard some red dots are auto only, hope that is not the case for yours. Best of luck!
  24. Good perspective. "Burnout" is a good term for what I am experiencing. Not selling much, maybe some reloading stuff (probably not). Thanks!
