  1. Marlin Magazine Tube Inside Complete 60W, 75C - MidwayUSA Its out of stock, but backorders are ok according to website.
  2. Great Pics..... I mean "auction"
  3. Very Nice 66 GTO!!! I had a 66 LeMans that looked just like that one, but sold it. Still kick myself for selling it.
  4. Anything that has the word "SHELBY" on it gets a from me.
  5. And it gets far more looks than the newer cars. You rarely see someone at a gas station asking to look at a new mustang. I can't go to the gas station without someone asking about my GTO.
  6. Very Nice!!! But I think I will stick with classic muscle, like my 1972 GTO
  7. Rub it in.... Thanks I used ACOG's for a number of years and loved them. But now that I am in the civilian world, I don't have the ability to go to the optics lockers and throw one on my rifle. (Damn I miss that!!!) Guess I will be saving my pennies and getting either an ACOG, Reflex, or maybe an Eotech. Hopefully someone will be selling a slightly used on when I am ready to buy.
  8. Olbermann need to be bitch slapped. A sports caster (a crappy one at that) turned liberal political analyst. Remember.... Liberals are like slinkys; a lot of fun when you push them down the stairs!!
  9. Yeah... I thought the same about naming the guns, but, the rest of it is very good.
  10. Not sure if this has been posted in the past. Great video to share with all the anti gun people that ask why you carry.
  11. Does anyone know of a list that states what firearms shouldn't be dry fired and why? Every gun that I have owned or worked with while in the military has had in the owners manual to dry fire as part of the function check procedure after reassembly. As for dry firing in a gun store, I always ask the sales associate prior to dry firing, just as a courtesy. And I have never been told not to. I have never seen a firing pin or firing pin spring break due to dry firing. If I was asked not to dry firing a gun that I am looking at purchasing, the sales associate should have snap caps available so that I can see what the trigger pull is like. If they don't I would probably take my business somewhere else. Just my $.02
  12. I have been thinking about buying a tactical sight for my DPMS AR15. Either a red dot or scope. I am familiar with and highly imppressed with the Trijicon Reflex sight and the Trijicon ACOG but don't want to spend $400 - $600 for a Reflex or $800 - $1000 for an ACOG. I have seen on ebay a number of knock off ACOG's for around $150 but didn't know if they were . Anyone have any recommendations for a tactical sight that will work for me and not break my budget?
  13. CONGRATS!!!! Hope the two of you enjoy many years of happiness and prosperity.
  14. At least until the Mosins get going!!!! I know how you yankees are.
  15. Vikings over Cowboys, Chargers over Jets
  16. I have a Crossbreed Supertuck IWB that I use for my Sig P226. It is by far the best holster that I have used. Like you said.... I sometimes forget I have it on. It is that comfortable.
  17. Welcome to TGO!!
  18. Back at ya Sidewinder!!! There are a few of us on here, just not too many.
  19. I bought a couple of these amish belts on this site. Belts They work very well and well made for $25. I use them for my crossbreed IWB w/ Sig 226 9mm
  20. Just guessing here, but I would figure that a new pistol line from Remmington, along with the hype of it... I will guess $800 to $900 if not a little more. At least until the hype fades away.
  21. I don't think that individuals that are LEO, Firefighters, or Military (Active or Retired) expect discounts. However there are tons of businesses out there that do give these individuals discounts but they do not advertise it. When I was on active duty, I appreciated any discount I could get because the cash I had was really minimal. As a retired military, I do appreciate a discount here and there, and you never know if a business will give a discount unless you ask. I have been to many small businesses and paid full price, but then found out later that they offer a military discount. I didn't go back and bitch, but did keep that in mind the next time I go to that establishment. OP - If the business that you work in doesn't give these types of discounts, post a sign that says the following: We DO NOT give discounts to the following: Police Officers Fire Fighters EMT/EMS Military (active, reserve, or retired) Senior Citizens ETC.. SO DON'T ASK!!! And see how long your business continues. Not only will you lose these individuals in your establishment, you will lose a lot more of your business from the people that respect these individuals. If you choose not to give discounts, then politely say "sorry, we don't". No need to get pissed. While it is not a right for any individual to get a discount on products or services, it certainly is a right of the business to decide if it wishes to enhance its customer base and offer discounts.
  22. [quote name=Linoge;425644 I guess my two years as an Electrical Engineering Officer onboard a FFG that was almost older than me kind of soured me on the whole "getting parts to fix busted-assed things" standpoint' date=' but complicating a ship class like this is... well... troublesome. To put it simply. [/quote] I know what you mean..... my second ship was USS Semmes (DDG 18), an Adams class destroyer. Commissioned in in 1962 and I was onboard when we de-commed her in 1991 and sold her to the Greek Navy. It was a real bitch to get parts for her and we had to machine a lot of parts that we needed. The good thing about the new LCS is that they all are using off the shelf components. Same as the Arleigh Burke destroyers.... they may look different and configured differently, but they all use "most" of the same components. My first ship in 1985 was USS John A. Moore (FFG-19). What FFG were you on?
  23. As of now it is homeported in San Diego... from there, who knows.
