I run the Vortex Crossfire II on my 308 rifle and it works perfectly. It's fully multi-coated lenses, making it the best 308 scope for big game hunting. On my Ar10, I run a Vortex Optics Diamondback 4-12x40 for my close range shots. If you are looking for a close-to-mid-range shot with the Ar-10, I definitely highly recommend the Vortex Diamondback. But to answer your first question, the Crossfire is definitely a scope worth purchasing.

I did come across the Vortex Diamond 4x16 a couple of times. I checked it up on Amazon and it did have high reviews. I might go with that one. Thanks for your recommendation, tn hp!

I'm planning on buying an Ar-10 and was wondering if anyone owns one and what scope you use for it? I've read a couple of articles and the scope I'm leaning towards to is the Leupold VX-2 4-12x40mm. Any recommendations folks?

What's going on everyone! A friend referred me to this forum and so far, everything looks good! I'm a hunter and currently own a couple of rifles including the Ar-15 :)
