Late Jan-Feb/March I have found to produce sheds. There really isn't much magic to it. You have to look where the bucks like to be and you have to spend a lot of time (or have a lot of help) searching. Some common places....Game Trails, Field Edges, either side of creeks/streams/fences where deer would have to jump and bedding areas.

Anyone a Noah's Mill fan? I keep finding my bottle depleting despite my best efforts to keep it full.

Simply Safe is fantastic and inexpensive/no contracts.

You'll like the 107. Very spicy/cinnamony. If anyone in the Memphis area is trying to track down Weller Antique 107 let me know, I've know of a place that has like 10 bottles for $26.99

Well TGO is a bunch of enablers! I mean, I have always enjoyed bourbons and really have an appreciation for fine bourbons at that. But never with the tenacity I have now! I get that no bottle of Pappy is worth what the price demands on the secondary market, but Pappy 20 is like heaven dancing on my lips. I'd sure like to add a bottle to the library one day but I probably have a better chance of getting struck by lightening. So until then, I have tried many suggestions here. I have been able to acquire a few of the harder to find bourbons, Weller 107 and Stagg Jr. The rest of my library consists of much more accessible bourbons many of which I have not tried yet. Four Roses Single Barrel, Makers Cask Strength, Bakers, John Bowman, Elijiah Craig Small Batch, Jim Beam Single Barrel, Colonel EH Taylor Small Batch, Noah's Mill and one of my all time favorites, Lagavulin 16. On my short list are more tastings from Heaven Hill would be the Elijaih Craig 18, 23 and barrel proof. I haven't found any of those around here. I'd really like to aquire some of the super premiums at some point, Pappy, George T Stagg, and Van Winkle rye. So my fingers are crossed! Anyways, I'd like to thank everyone who contributes to this thread. It is indeed a darn fine band of brothers we have here and I appreciate the knowledge and expertise passed along.

Nice Mike! That is well deserved. All the stores around my area have been packed and I'm sure yours has been no different!

Scored some Stagg Jr. today. $55

I have visited an uncle of mine who had the same interests as everyone else on this forum. I was able to try several new bourbons/whiskeys. Weller 19 year and Rip Van Winkle Rye were my top favorites. Good stuff!!

Congrats. File me in the soon to be a first time dad category. I have a son coming in April!

^^^ I looked for that today but couldn't find any.

Just snagged a bottle of Weller 107 for $30. I hope I like it. My 3 fav's have been Pappy 20 and Elijah Craig and Blantons. Oh course knob, makers, Jack, turkey are all good. I had Larceny recently and thought it was bland. I guess my pallat just prefers flavor powerhouses. There are still plenty more I'd like to try and get my hands on!

That can be done. I'll work on one soon.

I still like my Eotech. One of the few red dots I can see reasonably well given my astigmatism.

We took 5 nice doe this past weekend. Hope to meet our harvest objectives by the end of the season! We got a few nice bucks running around that need a year or two before we would consider them shooters. So great to see other people successful as well!

Watch "Adele" Impersonate Herself For A Hilarious Prank

That was awesome. Haha There is a video of Jewel doing that in a bar somewhere. -
BlessTheUSA, I can't offer much advice on the WMA hunting, but want to say good luck to you this year and to not at any point become discouraged. I cannot tell you how many times that everything had gone wrong with a hunt that in the end turned out very successful, and I also cannot tell you how many times I did everything right and never saw a thing! Thats hunting for you! Don't feel like you have to be up in a tree in order to kill deer. I'd say without hesitation of all the deer killed in the history of Planet Earth, most have been killed from ground level! I'd have no issue finding a nice spot in the woods or overlooking a field to hunt. Make sure you get a good scent neutralizing spray. Keep the questions coming!

Prayers sent. Sorry to hear of your struggles.

Does a wild bear crap in the woods?

I was referring to Dave but you do raise an interesting point...we all should be sharing!

Hey you never said what you ordered! That's like the equivalent of a felony around here right?

Blade HQ is good to go. Got an Esee 6 from them about a month ago and shipping was fast.

I've noticed this too. My neighborhood has tons of house and kids. But the last few halloweens we've only had like 5 kids. When I was a kid in the 90's, we were bumping shoulders with other kids. Oh and my parents let my sister and I go out and just told us to come back when we were done. Haha my how times have changed. I think most people do the Trunk Or Treat now.

Who really knows and who's going to run 100k gallons through any filter made for survival? However, if it makes a difference, it includes the ability to back flush the filter in order to unclog it and extend the life of the filter. I have the Sawyer Squeeze filter (not the mini) and the back flush works well. But I just use it for backpacking/shred and I've only had a few dozen gallons through it. It really depends on how you plan on using it. If someone seriously thinks they will need to filter 100k gallons of water, then they should already know to look at other options.

I would get a Sawyer Mini. Same price but it filters smaller bacteria and is more versatile as far as your drinking options go.

Tennessee lifetime hunting and fishing license
Slappy replied to Losvaqueros's topic in Hunting and Fishing
Well I fell into the expensive bracket. :-( About $1,600 to the TWRA but fortunately it should pay for itself many times over before I expire. Wish I could say the same about my lifetime CCW permit!
