It sorta seems to me the suppressor world has recently taken a nice leap in innovation....more companies making them all trying to outdo each other has really helped us a consumers. I have a Dead Air Sandman-L on order for my .30 cal can. If the Surge was in Stock at the time I made my purchase, I would have had a difficult decision to make. I wouldn't second guess yourself on your decision, it looks like a can that will stay relevant for quite some time to come. The modularity of the Rugged cans is really appealing and seem to suppress well in either configuration.

Ok so I'll reply.... Rugged has some good stuff going on and that looks like a great can! Love how they put the serial number on the most durable part of the can so they can repair/upgrade later on with no issues. I've got a Rugged Obsidian on the way...next year.

Current Form 3 lead times?
Slappy replied to Mindless-Focus's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Wow...I'm at a loss for words there. I wonder why they say that after he told me for 10 minutes that it was no problem. I was very clear about what I was asking. He told me to bring in a copy of the form 3 and my trust and they could get it started as long as the form 3 was submitted at least 3 weeks ahead of time. Silencer shop does this too. I'll try anyways and see what happens. This isn't very good though is it. -

Haven't tried to get a copy of my form 3 from Capitol Armory yet. -

He won't know who I am. Just make sure you have a copy of your form 3 from Capitol Armory and your trust. Should be good. William is the one who signs off on them so it surprises me the rest of the crew there doesn't know they can do that. I'd call and ask to speak with him first. -

I spoke with William....the owner. He said no problem at all and told me to bring in the Form 3 and they will get it started. Even said they don't like to do the form 4's without the form 3's being at least 3 weeks into the process. So you apparently talked to someone who didn't know what they were doing. -

Let me know how getting the form 3 goes with Capitol armory. I don't know what arms fair charges for NFA transfers...$50-$100. -

Arms Fair. They will need a copy of the form 3, so hopefully there won't be any issues getting it from Capitol armory. Cause ain't no way our form threes will be done before July 13th! -

Still haven't gotten mine back from Capitol Armory. Form 3's are taking up to 2 months. I did call my dealer to see if they could go ahead and file the form 4's while the form 3's are still pending and they said yes. So next week I will work on that. -
Little bullet in big can
Slappy replied to chuckstur's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Lots of variables involved so it's hard to give a straight answer. Such as, bullet weight/speed, barrel length, type of can, length and girth if said can, size of end cap on can. Generally speaking, you will lose some sound suppression but probably not as much as you'd think because the increased volume of the can helps make up for what you will lose shooting a smaller bullet. -
Gotcha. Yeah, sometimes there's just not much you can do. I would have responded truthfully as well.

I would have never said anything about weapons in my vehicle. Why open yourself up to that if there is no duty to inform?

Silencerco Saker 7.62 or Hybrid?
Slappy replied to Sniper23's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Best thing to help the time pass is to forget you ever ordered it. With 41f going through I bet wait times will be astronomical. I submitted 3 cans just over a month ago and I have 2 cans that are pending form 3 approval still. I won't see the last two till next year I bet. -

Agree with Hozzie. You won't be making a mistake with the Omega. -

Specwar is great but technology has advanced. Hyrbid is cool but friggin huge. Usually one thing that does everything doesn't really do anything that well. I'm sure it's a great can for what it is. I like the concept. Saker is is over engineered in a good way. But it's loud. Omega takes the best of all the cans and sums it up into one. :-) -

Get the Omega. I just went though all this myself and the Omega is quieter and has great mounting options and versatility. Size is nice too. -
Well, if it's a no guns zone and that prevents violence, then this must just be a false flag. in all seriousness, prayers sent for the victims and their families. May the perpetrator be brought to swift justice.

Well I guess I'll chime in here too and say that I'm back on bandwagon. Consistency has never been a strength of mine and neither is moderation. I can't stand that about myself. I am either fully on board or off the deep end. I have the hardest time recovering from a bad meal. 2 years ago I went from not being able to run more than 3 minutes, to eventually running a half marathon using a Couch to 5k method of training. It was one of the few times in my life I set a long term goal and achieved it. Unfortunately since then I suffered a debilitating knee injury (not running related) and now it will never be the same, however, I am giving it another go. Weighed in at my highest 211, currently 206. With a long term goal weight of 170. I am eating tons of plants now. Trying to cut out fast food, bad carbs, fine bourbon. Limiting animal products and getting back into jogging.

Yeah sides and back are pretty weak in these types. One would probably just go into your garage and get an axe or sawzall to open it up.

I can't make a suggestion for you, however, I wanted to express my sincere condolences for the situation you are facing. Loosing a pet is loosing a family member. May all the memories of sweet pup last a lifetime and your grief be brief.

Stripe Payment worked for me just fine. As you said, paypal isn't ready.

I know stuff like that is hard to share. I for one am appreciative of these stories. It shows even the best of us are fallible and none of us, ever, need get complacent. Glad everything worked out fine. Fortunately a cheap lesson for all of us.

Yeah. I've got 3 cans in their safe right now. Got the 2 from Capital transferring to them and the second they get Rugfed Obsidian in, I'll go get that one too.
