Merry Christmas to you and all!

I first thought this was going to be some sort of Don't Ask Don't Tell thread. Congrats!

Dang! I have got to check this section more often!

Thanks for all the help guys. I really liked the idea of taking a picture of the dog and asking her what she thinks. I also have a backup gift if that one doesnt work out.

I have an opportunity to get an AKC register Doberman that is 3 months old. The dog's current family has been going through a divorce and she just stays in her kennel all day in a small apartment. Rescuing a dog is a big commitment. I know she really wants a dog, as do I, and we make enough money to make sure the dog is well taken care of. My question is, should I get the dog and surprise her on Christmas, or should I talk to her about it first and ruin the surprise?

I am sure some of the good folks here will help you out with that. I am joining MSSA this weekend, otherwise i would take you, well, as long as you would let me take a few shots with it.

Oh man that was funny. I like how she tries to play it off by stroking it some more at the end, only to realize that was wrong too. hahahah.

There has been a glitch in the text tones for the 3GS. Only the iPhone 4 can get them right now. They are working on it.

I love my Ruger LCP. I have around 1,100rds fired through her without a single issue. I use a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster.

I switched jobs/careers a few weeks ago after settling up financially with them, my previous employer still paid me direct deposit. There are so many productive uses I could do with the extra money but I know I need to give it back to them, sucks doesn't it?
-
I did clean it before I went to shoot it but it was not very thorough. This time, I took the BCG apart and CLP'ed it and put Slide Glide on everything. Hopefully good to go now.

I have been in retail management for 2 years and to make a long story short, the retail life was not for me. The inconsistency of hours got in the way of the things that I truly value such as church, wife, family and friends and that even means more to me than a paycheck. I am called to be head of the household and provide for my family, which I will, but left a job with limitless opportunities and was as stable as the morning sun. My new job will be in Staffing. I will have a job finding people jobs. I think this will really play even more to my strengths in dealing with people, and I see it as pretty stable as there is no shortage of quality people out there. BTW is anyone here in Staffing or use a Staffing company to hire people? I really felt physically ill to leave my current job because I knew exactly what I would be giving up. But, given a set of decisions, I am going to make the best one and I know this was the right decision. I have ZERO malice towards my current employer and they are letting me finish my 2 weeks which they normally don't do. I can honestly say I am a better man for having worked for them. They have invested a lot in me to be who I am today. I am young, have a business degree from an SEC college, and have an extremely supportive wife and family. I figured also that it would be best for me to try this out now before I get stuck in retail. I have gone "all in". Wish me luck! A couple of cool notes: I turned in my 2 weeks notice on my wife's birthday and it was also the same day my M&P 15-22 MOE rifle came in, both not planned.

Towards the end I was wondering how the heck that thing still had tires on it, then I was right.

After waiting patiently for the past few weeks, my new M&P 15-22 MOE rifle came in! The rifle is extremely lightweight and comfortable to shoot. The Magpul MOE (stock, sights, grip) are fantastic and robust. Naturally, It needed to get broken in. With new rifle in trunk, I ran around Memphis trying to find some CCI ammo to no avail (suggestions?) I ran Winchester Super X's through her for the first 175 rounds and then ran Wally World Federal Bulk Pack for the next 125 rounds. I experienced 2 light strikes on the Super X's; 1 in the first magazine and 1 in the second magazine. No problems there after until the last 2 magazines I shot through her. Both were FTE with the Federal Bulk Pack. Overall I am pleased with the functionality of the gun. 4 issues out of 300 .22 LR rounds isnt too bad but honestly I expected better. Maybe it was the ammo or maybe it needed to get broken in but hopefully after a good cleaning it will be 100%. For all of the TTIWWOP people, hang in there, its 5:30am.

I have been on SigForum for a couple years. Great forum! It does take a while for approval but is well worth it.

1) Get a Stripped Lower. Spike's Tactical AR15 Lower Receiver 2) Get a parts kit. Products at Adco Firearms 3) Watch a bunch of videos on how to put them together. Assemble your own LOWER, UPPER, FREE FLOAT, TRIGGER, GAS BLOCK - Step by step instructions! - AR15.COM 4) Get a complete upper. RifleGear - Upper Assemblies 5) Get a bunch of magazines. 6) Get a bunch of ammo. EDIT: Go to Brownells and get some punches for installation. You will also need a stock wrench. DPMS makes a great one. These are just a few of the sites I used to put my AR-15 together. It is worth noting that pretty much any lower will work as they are all generally the same as well as made by the same companies regardless of brand (stamp). Have fun!

Congrats! I wish I had access to land for me to hunt on this year. Make SURE you get a safety harness for your tree stand and use it. I would practice going up and down trees in your backyard (with the harness) before you go looking for a spot in the woods so you get familiar with it. Also, dont forget to wear your harness.

The missing Eads man that was recently found. Missing Eads man found alive - WMC-TV 5 - Memphis, TN MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - An Eads man family members said had been missing for almost a week was located Friday morning on Mud Island. Security guard Annie Woodson spotted Robert Ellsworth on Mud Island early Friday morning. "This is kind of unusual," she said. "For me, you know, it's shocking." "Unusual" to find a man soaking wet and exhausted in the park. "He said, 'I came out of the river.' I said, "What river?' So he pointed to the Mississippi River." At the time, Woodsen didn't know she was talking to Robert Ellsworth, an Eads, Tennessee man who's been missing since Saturday. Ellsworth didn't appear to be injured - he just wanted to talk to someone and go home. "I said, 'Wow, how did you get over here?' At first, he said, 'I don't know.' Then he said that someone pushed him in the water," Woodson said. Investigators found Elllsworth's vehicle Tuesday at Shelby Farms, but so far, he's been unable to fill in the blanks about what happened while he was missing. Until he can give investigators more information, they won't know if his disappearance was brought on by mental or physical health issues, or he was a victim of a crime, or both. For Annie Woodsen, the ending of the story is what matters most. "I'm so glad that I could help somebody, and this case I helped out real well, and it's a blessing that he came my way," she said. Ellsworth is being evaluated mentally because of disorientation and his inability to recall the events in the past week.
