Good points from all of you. I haven't shot any dogs but have a few of my friends say they wouldn't hesitate. I wasn't sure what most people do in a situation like that. I have heard a lot of stories of retaliation from people shooting dogs though they really would turn you against the idea of dispatching them.

My idea of success in hunting doesn't have to mean a kill. I love the outdoors and nature, even if I dont see anything. There have been several times though that my hunts have been ruined by dogs running around on my property. There was one instance where I heard these dogs barking for over an hour until I gave up. Not as soon as I stepped foot back on the greenfield, ole Mr. Bruiser popped out (thick 8 pt) right in front of me. Dang, the dogs actually helped that time... If its coyotes, the answer is obvious, but if its dogs, do you shoot them? What if they have a collar?

I was hoping to bag a deer with my bow this season but no dice. Gun hunting has been fairly eventful but I've passed on several. At this point I dont know if I will like venison enough to store multiple deer in my freezer so I am pretty much trophy hunting or doing QDM.

Great shooting and very nice buck at that! That is a first buck to be proud of. I hope to get a bruiser tomorrow morning.

I have been hunting twice and nothing so far. Still looking for my first Bow kill. The first time I went hunting I was snorted at not 5 minutes after i settled in the stand. This last time I saw nothing until I spooked 2 walking back to my car but it was 30 minutes past shooting time anyways. Guess thats why they call it "hunting". Good job guys.

I was walking through our property and came across this on a tree and I have no idea what could have caused this! I did not notice any other trees with this type of scrape on it, it was not caused by a tractor or 4 wheeler and it was about 4 feet off the ground. My only guesses is that it was a weird scrap from a buck or its insect related.

Camera is the Cheap on sale $70 Moultrie Camera with a flash (no IR). As far as the pics go, I use photobucket to upload my pics. It goes from the SD card, into iPhoto (Mac), onto photobucket and then here. I dont do anything special.

I feel I have failed as a man today. I cant replace a headlight bulb on my wife's car (2006 Volvo S60 2.5T) and after 2 trips to Walmart, 2 new toilet repair kits and prayers asking forgiveness for the words that spewed forth out of my mouth (although i thought "****" was an appropriate term for my toilet struggles), my toilet is still broken. Here is the story: Flapper was worn out and the ballcock was broken. When I replaced it, as soon as I turned the water back on, water started shooting out from underneath (down into the tank) from underneath the cap of the ballcock like it had a blown gasket. So I went back to Wallyword exchanged what I thought was a bad assembly and got a new toilet repair kit of a different brand. The second one is much better but it is STILL leaking periodically from underneath the cap of the ballcock. What is going on?? The toilet flushes, the tank fills up, it stops at the desired level, all is good and quiet and then it starts to trickle from underneath that dang cap. Please advise. Thanks!!
