Time to become right-handed. Or get a right-hand drive vehicle. Seriously though, perhaps consider a cross-draw holster or shoulder holster for vehicle use, then swap back to hip holster / IWB when out of vehicle. -
Obama Signs Martial Law Bill: NDAA Now Law

People in England used to have guns. They don't anymore. It didn't happen overnight. Tanks didn't roll down the streets with soldiers knocking on doors collecting weapons at gunpoint. It happened little by little. So slowly that no one protested or noticed until it was all too late. Perhaps someone ratting on his neighbor, someone snitching on a relative. A guy found a gun buried in his garden and took it to the local police station. He's in prison now. Now I have faith in our troops, but when a rogue government shuts down nationwide civilian and public communications, tells the troops that we are under attack, compartmentalizes things and doesn't allow troops to talk to anyone, telling them a certain group is a verified threat or terror cell... all kinds of things can happen. A regime could bring in only a few thousand U.N. troops or merc's and do a lot of damage. They don't have to put 90-million people in camps. An order to stay in your homes, travel restrictions and curfews all under the guise of national security accomplishes the same thing. Where are all the troops returning from Iraq? They're not sitting at their bases with gun in hand at the ready waiting to defend us from attack from within. It will come slowly and quietly. U.S. troops will be discharged, dispersed, given long leaves, sent home. After all, we're not 'at war'. Troops at home don't have access to tanks, humvee's, weapons lockers. Foreign black op's troops snuck in quietly in the dark of night or through Mexico will be armed and will be given 'authority' by a rogue regime. Not that I think that any of this is happening, but... The point is that it could happen. So never say never. They said that God couldn't sink the Titanic. The moment you say stupid stuff like that, stuff happens. -
Local TN Reps Against Voter ID Law

Dude, those are some undependable sources for those seeking truth. Not to mention that the NY Times article is almost 5 years old. Here is a TON of info on current voter fraud that is from August 2011 to present. There is simply TOO MUCH to post it all here: Democrats And Voter Fraud I could spend volumes and volumes of pointing out voter fraud from last week. But, for right now, I'll just point out a few quick ones: In Boulder City, Nevada, when voters cast their ballots for conservative Sharron Angle for U. S. Senate, they discovered that the touch-screen voter machine was already pre-set for Harry Reid, according to Fox 5 News in Las Vegas. Harrah's Casino "urged" their workers to vote for Harry Reid; and even took them to vote at their polling stations. In New Bern, North Carolina, Sam Laughinghouse said that he pushed the button to vote Republican in all races, but the voting machine screen displayed a ballot with all Democrats checked. He cleared the screen and tried again with the same result. The return address on 250 absentee ballot applications in Bridgeport, Connecticut, is 1238 North Avenue, which just happens to be a vacant lot. In Arizona, a federal appeals court rejected a state law requiring voters to demonstrate citizenship at the polls. In Illinois (although numerous other states had the same situation), military personnel overseas were "accidentally" denied the right to vote. The Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act (MOVE) requires states to mail absentee ballots to overseas troops, government employees, and other Americans living abroad, at least 45 days before an election. 35 Illinois counties did NOT make that required deadline. Worse yet, the DOJ has declined to pursue any punitive action against any state or county in question! In Connecticut, a "sanctuary city" issued thousands of IDs accepted for voter registration. Yes, illegal aliens might have elected the Democratic Governor of the state. According to World Net Daily: "Connecticut's lame-duck attorney general and new senator-elect, Richard Blumenthal, is obligated to investigate credible accusations of voter fraud that linger in the state's gubernatorial election---including possible illegal alien voting---despite Republican candidate Tom Foley's concession to Democratic opponent Daniel Malloy, charges the GOP's attorney general candidate in the election, Martha Dean. Dean, who is considering further legal action challenging the eligibility of her victorious Democratic opponent, argued Blumenthal is sworn to uphold the federal and state constitutions, making it his obligation to investigate voter fraud 'without regard to whether it has been requested or approved by the secretary of state.'" There were severe voter irregularities in the close election of Patty Murray in Washington State. This was an absolute win for Rick Santorum. Romney spent millions of dollars to get his votes. By comparison, Santorum spent 73¢ per vote. Santorum was barely even visible in polling in Iowa and came from behind to match Romney’s 25%. My money is (literally) on Santorum. He’s the most conservative of the bunch. Bachman bailed and gave an exit speech that sounded great. Maybe she should have been saying those things while she was running. Santorum will be the only one left calling out Obama and telling it like it is. Obama can balance out against Romney on Obama Care vs. Romney Care, and, Romney is a "rich white guy". Santorum is the best choice remaining.

Obama Signs Martial Law Bill: NDAA Now Law

Rush Limbaugh finally discussed this topic in-depth yesterday and he concluded that, yes, in fact, the document DOES state that it IS possible/allowable/permissible (whichever word you would like to use) for the U.S. Government to detain anyone (U.S. citizen included) without warrant, no habeas corpus, and indefinitely. In fact, it has been stated by several sources that Obama was specifically the very one who demanded that this portion of the legislation be put/left in there. He then issued a signing statement when signing the bill that said he promised to never use that portion of the bill. Local TN Reps Against Voter ID Law

I have been demanding this for years, ID or not. It's the only way to be absolutely sure of the integrity of our elections. The left, as usual, is not very concerned with integrity. -

By the same token, places that try to violate citizen's 2nd Amendment rights, like Chicago and D.C., impose ridiculous restrictions such as exorbitantly priced special training and licensing requirements to purposely put the cost of exercising one's rights out of reach for a lot of people, especially 'poor' people who'm the left is always claiming to be the champion of. -
I just received an email from liberal Nashville attorney and political activist Lynda Jones. She is against requiring ID to vote in TN, therefore she is for voter fraud. They are calling common sense voter ID laws "voter suppression". How pathetic and ignorant. So are these liberals who are co-sponsoring this meeting: Matt Kenigson Jason Potts Fabian Bedne Chris Harmon Karen Johnson Jacobia Dowell If any of these people are in your district, vote them out next time they are up for re-election. Their website - Tennessee Citizen Action Here is their "call to action" email Lynda Jones has been seeking a judicial seat by election for several years and is now seeking an appointment to one. She will be a liberal activist judge. Oppose her in any elections. http://www.tennessean.com/assets/pdf/DN1810441026.PDF Mark

Tennessean writing about CCW reciprocity laws
mcurrier replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Just using Mike's quote as a jumping off point... Aside from, yes, she should have checked first, and a ton of other good points posted in this thread... Perhaps you should consider and angle based on - Your average normal law abiding citizen who obeys the law perhaps naively thinks that most people obey the law and and that once they got their carry permit, they just assumed that it was good everywhere. Obviously, ignorance of the law is no excuse, but how many times do we have to hear these stories of people (the law abiding kind) innocently making a mistake in a communist state, or being check-mated by the system like the guy who's flight was diverted, then the next flight canceled, leaving him stranded in a commie state with his declared and checked gun by no fault of his own? If the law was actually applied to criminals who committed real crimes, maybe we wouldn't have to be harassing innocent people for technical violations. What happened to the National reciprocity thing they were recently talking about? Obviously the commie states would still not participate. -
