  1. Not past couple of years, just past 12 months or so on this point of the issue. We were still discussing what they were going to do back in Jan. 2011. Knew about Gun Buster sign and all other issues, just not how the alcohol issue had panned out. Thanks! SORRY FOR THREAD HIJACK - BACK TO OP's QUESTION...
  2. THAT is what I mean. Myself and many others are still confused over the carry in places that serve alcohol part of the carry bill. I hadn't heard a clear determination of how it turned out back when all of the speculation and arguing was going on in the alcohol /carry threads on TGO. I got sick of reading it all and haven't checked back in on that issue for quite a while. So...it DID pass and it is kosher to carry in establishments that serve alcohol? Please state one more time just to be clear. (Y/N?) Thank you in advance for the answer.
  3. 35 MINUTES! On the floor...in dog urine?!?!?! If her dog was older he'd most likely be dead now. They should have sent the 'apologist' out with a check for $10,000. If this garbage happens to me and isn't corrected IMMEDIATELY ON THE SPOT...there's gonna be a lawsuit and hell to pay. I guess after they read this they'll just shoot me and say I tried for a gun or something. I do NOT tolerate incompetence at all. Not from employees, not from store clerks, not from people who are supposed to be providing a service to me on my dime, and I certainly won't tolerate incompetence from government employees. Unfortunately, for Fed employees...incompetence is mostly par for the course.
  4. What's the deal on the alcohol part of carry in TN these days? Which way did that ever pan out? Most of these place serve.
  5. Shout it loud enough and long enough and eventually some people will believe it.
  6. Did you rent gun down there or they have loaners? Or did you transport yours? I have family in Costa Rica. May go this year.
  7. ID now required in Illinois.
  8. I was sitting in a Bennigan's Restaurant in Virginia Beach. Spent the day sitting there watching it re-play over and over and over again on all of the tv screens.

  13. For the most part, polls are poopy. Years ago they may have meant something. We live in the instant age of communication. Things can change worldwide in hours or even minutes. Most polls are stale the moment they finish taking them. The only poll that's going to count is in November.
  14. The rule of politics is: Vote for who you like/want in Primaries, vote for who you HAVE TO in the General Election. There's little risk in voting your heart in primaries, that's how we (hopefully) get the candidate that is closest to what the people of that party want. It's not a science, there are no guarantees. You play the hand you're dealt, the candidates that show up. There may a few we'd rather have, but...why did they choose not to show up this go round? But in the general election, it goes like this: 1. Vote for Candidate A = vote for Candidate A 2. Vote for Candidate B = vote for Candidate B 3. Vote for Candidate C = vote for Incumbent Candidate 4. Abstaining from voting = vote for Incumbent Candidate People may not like answer #3 or #4, but it's pretty much mathematical that when you vote for a third-party candidate, MOST other people are not going to be going that route, so statistically you are helping the incumbent candidate with your vote. There would have to be a MASSIVE grass roots movement where you absolutely KNOW that most people are on the same page to be able to pull off a third-party candidate or a write-in on a national level election. The only two times I can remember that there has been that much agreement, unity and solidarity over ANY issue where you could say to yourself, "I KNOW with a certainty what MOST people are thinking right now...", would be the day after Dec. 7, 1941 and the day after Sept. 11, 2001. Other than those times, it's near impossible to get a super-majority of people on the same page.
  15. The modern definition of 'racist' is someone who is winning an argument with a liberal.
  16. Toilet paper will be a LUXURY ITEM!
  17. The liberal controlled media are praying that it WILL be Romney. They see him, like McCain, as the most "moderate", easy going, middle of the road, easy to beat. Plus he has the added baggage of Romney Care which Obama will use to beat him up with. They say that Obama Care was based on Romney Care, so that will make Romney out to look just like Obama, only he will be portrayed as a "rich, wall-street white guy". The title of this thread is Ok, so now what? Three states, three different winners. Answer: Stick it out for a few more states, or even ALL of them if necessary. What rule says that we have to have a choice after three states? Iowa and New Hampshire have been wrong 2/3 of the time in the last 20 years, so let's not make a hasty decision based on what they think. There are 47 other states (54 more to go if you're Obama).
  18. It's a free country (still), the man can do what he wants to do. I wouldn't go either.
  19. I hope you are talking about voting for neither in Primary voting. Unfortunately when it comes down to the general election, we gotta pick a dog whether we like him or not, otherwise it's just a default vote for the incumbent. The perfectly holy candidate will never be, we just need to incrementally keep voting for those who will move us in the correct direction little by little. If another Ronald Reagan comes along in my lifetime I'd be surprised.
  20. That'd be great...but will NEVER happen unfortunately.
  21. I remember it like it was yesterday, facts and all. It was a political witch hunt, born out of false and malicious allegations. Everyone knew that the allegations were false, yet Newt gave in an admitted ‘some’ wrong doing just to get them off his back. Akin to pleading to a lesser crime to avoid charges of a higher crime just to escape the pressure of the whole attack, I thought that Newt gave up way too easily and should have stayed and fought against the liars. He was eventually found to be free of guilt of all the allegations, but not until after the damage was done. I was always angry with him for allowing himself to be chased out of his Speaker position and have considered him weak ever since. Nevertheless, I will take him over Obama in a heartbeat. One is set out to destroy this country, and is doing a damn good job so far. The other will at least fix what damage has been done and take us in a more sane direction.
  22. No affiliation, just from VAST experience... Music City Coin at 200 4th Ave S. pays highest around Nashville area.

  24. Good idea. Count me in. Political T-Shirts - Conservative T-Shirts - Conservative Cotton Conservative T-Shirts, Anti Obama T-Shirts & Tees
  25. Linky no worky. Story yanked from Bloomberg. Searched that website for several minutes, could not find story. Buffett In a related story, Brazil is selling the oil that Obama "said" he wanted to buy to China now. So we give Brazil $10 Billion so they can drill for oil and then sell it to China and we turn down a pipeline from out northern neighbor and friend Canada. Excellent move!
