  4. Biden and Obama are gonna get a big stick stuck up their arises in November.
  5. For some reason...I do tend to notice relevant signs. I'm just good that way. Believe me my friend, I'm on the receiving end of frustration, not the giving end.
  6. Right on. We are stuck at the 50/50 point until the big crash and burn. That's the only event that will bring us back to true conservatism is after things get so bad and it rises up from the ashes out of necessity. That's if anyone is left after the big crash and burn. If there were any more unexplored, unsettled territory on the earth, some could go and make it the greatest nation on the earth. But...that's been done and this is the last stand...for freedom, Americans and humanity.
  7. I believe it was Barack Obama who exponentially escalated the race component with his divisive comment for which he has yet to amend or call for peaceful clarity on the situation. He threw in the race hand grenade and got exactly what he wanted out of the incident - more racial division and a temporary distraction from his dismal failure of a Presidency, with more potential use of the simmering situation down the road around verdict time for another pre-election distraction.
  8. We can only play the cards that we are dealt, so we're either in or we are out. It's a one hand game. In means a chance. Out means lost already. Just the way it is. No one said we had to like it. Most of us don't, but... We can only play the cards that we are dealt, so we're either in or we are out. Catch 22.

  11. See that red stuff on the back of Zimmerman's head? Skittles.
  12. A note from Gary Bauer: Grand Slam, Governor! After sweeping five state primaries yesterday, Governor Mitt Romney kicked off the general election campaign with a victory speech that put the 2012 election in very stark terms. I was cheering last night as the governor aggressively attacked Obama's failed record and brilliantly critiqued Obama's "fairness" claims. Here are some excerpts: "Tonight is the start of a new campaign to unite every American who knows in their heart that we can do better! The last few years have been the best that Barack Obama can do, but it's not the best America can do! … "Four years ago Barack Obama dazzled us in front of Greek columns with sweeping promises of hope and change. …What do we have to show for three and a half years of President Obama? Is it easier to make ends meet? Is it easier to sell your home or buy a new one? …Do you pay less at the pump? "If the answer were 'yes' to those questions, then President Obama would be running for re-election based on his achievements…and rightly so. But because he has failed, he will run a campaign of diversions, distractions, and distortions. That kind of campaign may have worked at another place and in a different time. But not here and not now. It's still about the economy, and we're not stupid. … "This president is putting us on a path where our lives will be ruled by bureaucrats and boards, commissions and czars. He's asking us to accept that Washington knows best -- and can provide all. … "This America is fundamentally fair. We will stop the unfairness of urban children being denied access to the good schools of their choice; … we will stop the unfairness of requiring union workers to contribute to politicians not of their choosing; we will stop the unfairness of government workers getting better pay and benefits than the taxpayers they serve; and we will stop the unfairness of one generation passing larger and larger debts on to the next. "In the America I see, character and choices matter. …We'll stop the days of apologizing for success at home and never again apologize for America abroad. "There was a time -- not so long ago -- when each of us could walk a little taller and stand a little straighter because we had a gift that no one else in the world shared. We were Americans. That meant something different to each of us but it meant something special to all of us. We knew it without question. And so did the world. Those days are coming back. That's our destiny. "We believe in America. We believe in ourselves. Our greatest days are still ahead. We are, after all, Americans! God bless you, and God bless the United States of America." Governor Romney clearly made the case why Barack Obama does not deserve a second term, and many voters agree. In today's Rasmussen tracking poll of likely voters, Romney leads Obama 49%-to-44%. Obama can -- and must -- be defeated!
  13. FWIW... I never look for signs when I enter buildings. Coincidentally, I never see any. (any signs. I don't like reading a bunch of garbage. I don't look at billboards either, and I skip commercials. It's all crap that I'm not interested in.)
  14. Obama promised to be a post-racial President. Instead, he has been the MOST racial president.
  15. Once again... A non-vote is a vote for the incumbent.... argghhh... forget it.
  16. I knew of a really big one up in KY before, but never heard of one in TN.
  17. RENASANT BANK, both in Hendersonville and Nashville. Very small, regional/local. Not tied to the big banks...so far. Also, another bank that I HIGHLY recommend - Tennessee Bank & Trust. Started by a TN billionaire about 8 years ago. Two locations, Green Hills and Cool Springs/Brentwood/Franklin. Lobby hours used to be until 7pm six days a week, not sure if that still stands. Checked the website, didn't say. ABBBOA - Any Bank But Bank of America!
  18. At 5:04 something whizzes by from left to right leaving a trail, and a spilt second later another launch trail can be seen to the right coming off the planet surface. Koreans or Chinese trying to shoot down boosters showing up on radar maybe?
  19. I once removed a bullet from a guys shoulder with a forklift. btw, I've got some oceanfront property for sale in Idaho...
  20. You are perhaps thinking of NATO. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NATO
  21. Yup. And then the local Dollar General will be burned to the ground and Walgreens looted. This is how it will go, except reverse the character roles - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1s5sLY4hVo I was a LEO in Virginia Beach, VA back in the 1980's and saw riots up close and personal. This stuff started wayyyy before 1989, that's only when it exploded. http://www.wavy.com/...eports_20090902 I just 'love' (sarcasm) Mayor Oberndorf's comment starting at 1 min. 24 sec up to 1 min. 43 sec. "There was one young African American woman who had opened a Benneton store and the 'kids' (e.g. rioters) didn't realize who owned what, they broke in and tore it to pieces. And she certainly had not done anything that would have caused that type of behavior." I take it by her logic then, that it was ok to trash, loot and vandalize white owned businesses and that they must have deserved it and that the white business owners must have caused and invited that type of behavior. That's just her talking p.c.-speak 20 years later. There was no "racial tension" building as the reporter implies, the college students brought it with them, I was there, at the beach, for 20 years and saw it myself. When they first started having "Greek Week" in the mid-80's the college-aged thug element started acting like animals and randomly beating white tourists and looting small businesses at the oceanfront. VA Beach was a peaceful family beach resort up until "Greek Week" came there. After the first two years of hosting these thugs, Mayor Oberndorf and Police Chief Wall approved installation of video cameras on top of many of the 110 hotels at the oceanfront and the result was that the NAACP and organizers of "Greek Fest" flipped out and had a meltdown about it. The next few years it got a lot worse, building up to the massive 1989 riots. Interestingly, you can't go anywhere in the world today without multiple cameras on you at any given moment. VA Beach was one of the most advanced police departments in the country at the time and those who wished to behave criminally did not like the reactive preparations that we had taken to monitor and attempt to prevent future crimes.
  22. Yes, different cases, yet the news media for over a year on each of the two other cases continued to use the word "alleged" even though there were handfuls of eyewitnesses and even video, and both 'suspects' were taken at the scene with the proverbial smoking gun. No one in the media could bring themselves to say "the shooter", or "the killer" or "the murderer", it all had to be in p.c.-speak (alleged"). Yup. Different circumstances, different case. This one doesn't fit the liberal p.c. template. Bet they wish they had more thoroughly checked out Zimmerman before throwing out that "white" label, the hispanic vote might not be so kind to liberals in November.
