  5. Agreed, however "jews" had a good part in writing the New Testament as well. Jesus was a Jew and most of the writers of the NT were Jews, including Paul/Saul who wrote 2/3 of the NT. Let's say that about that time after spending time with Jesus and hearing His teachings, their thinking "evolved". Now where have I heard that recently?
  6. Yeah, and it must have been matching your speed and 'following' you just about the whole way out there.
  7. http://www.bbc.co.uk...europe-18269837 "Humanitarian charity Oxfam has launched a new campaign to call for the regulation of the sale of ammunition around the world. It comes ahead of a United Nations summit in July on bringing in a new arms trade treaty to regulate the sale of arms." "Anna Macdonald, head of arms control at the charity, said: "A gun without a bullet is a very large metal stick, basically. Ammunition is literally the fuel of conflict." The fathers of two murdered children have helped launch a campaign to call for tighter global gun sale controls. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-17011425
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk...merica-18288430 "Under the new law, only the army, police and certain groups like security companies will be able to buy arms from the state-owned weapons manufacturer and importer. The ban is the latest attempt by the government to improve security and cut crime ahead of elections in October"
  9. Yeah, about 2,000 years ago. Talk to Paul, Peter, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Then call Jesus and God.
  10. putz...schmeckle...bloomberg...obama... All synonyms.

  14. I had three full racks last time I was there! 2 for dinner and one for dessert.Other than that... Memphis is usually best viewed in the rear-view mirror for the most part. Be very careful walking around downtown, especially if you have a lady or kids with you.
  15. Malachi 3:6 - For I am the Lord, I change not He's not sending anyone, they choose to go by free will. Again, free will, freedom of choice. Many stubborn people would rather make that choice by default rather than the easy and better choice, but...to each his own.
  16. "not because we care about children, not because we have a great public school for every child...NEA and it's affiliates are effective because we have POWER, and we have power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing (forced) to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in dues each year because they believe that we are the unions that can most effectively represent them." "...closing achievement gaps, reducing dropout rates, improving teacher quality are ok... but they need not and must not be achieved at the expense of due process, employee rights and collective bargaining - that's simply TOO high a price to pay" (closing achievement gaps, reducing dropout rates, improving teacher quality - those are the things that are simply TOO high a price as opposed to collective bargaining) e.g. screw the kids as long as you get a good contract. What happened to the three R's? O' for the days of the one room school house.
  17. Bloomberg says Donut Day is still on though - http://politicker.com/2012/05/mixed-message-with-soda-ban-and-national-donut-day-endorsements-video/
  18. Yeah, that's what they wish we'd all do. Problem is, I have a hard time shutting up when something ain't right. As Edmund Burke says, "All That Is Necessary For Evil To Triumph Is For Good Men To Do Nothing." I can't do nothin', it ain't in me.
  19. Yup. Hasn't stopped murder yet. Or robbery.

  21. And I thought San Francisco was the gay...I mean Happy city... I guess they are Sad Francisco now.
  22. So far, Westboro hasn't killed anyone. The muslims talk about it all the time, threaten to do it all the time, and do it all the time, even to their own wives and daughters. I WISH that all they did was yell and call names like Westboro does, then we wouldn't have a problem.
