Has everyone gone mad?
No, just the guy who shot 26 people. The rest of us are still in control of out faculties.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2254758/Deport-If-America-wont-change-crazy-gun-laws--I-deport-says-Piers-Morgan.html Bye-bye d-bag, don't let the Statue of Liberty hit you in the arse on the way out.

There's one leg left on a three legged stool. When exactly should we stop and take note that the sky is falling? The checks and balances seem to have been tossed out the window. 0-deusche-nozzle seems to pretty much be doing exactly whatever he wants. There seem to be no restraints and he gets everyone worked up and rams his crap through based on phony urgencies ("must act now") and heightened emotions, not to mention side-stepping Congress, EO's and cramming regulations up our butts.
Could I be wrong, sure; but I don’t think I am. If I am wrong I will be the first to acknowledge your vision and apologize for ever questioning you.
Sadly at that point I think neither of us will care. I tend to err (and prepare) on the side of caution. You on the other hand have much more faith in things turning out alright than I do. What can I say. Better to have to have expected it and been wrong than to have trusted and been burned and caught unprepared. As they say, hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. I have faith in (regular) people, just not anyone involved in politics. Can't trust 'em.

Come on guys! As so many on these forums have previously stated many times in the past...as recently as 7-14 days ago no less..."it can NEVER happen"... "tinfoil !"... Doesn't seem so "tinfoil" now, does it. That cold, wet rag of reality really seems to have awakened a lot of folks. I guess better late than never.
The Supreme Court of the United States disagrees. Under this great system we have their opinions carry the full weight of law; hers did not.
That would make them sovereign rulers. The SC is still accountable to Congress and then to the Citizens.

Not arguing that Dave, but the point that people like Commando68, I and others are making is that it is GOVERNMENT which is the one drawing the line in the sand, moving the goal posts, not the citizens. We are not usurping power. We are not acting in a tyrannical manner. They are. Who knows when the straw that breaks the camel's back will be added. We are not hoping that it happens anytime soon, God forbid. We are not advocating attacking govt. (physically), but when they start attacking us (physically), at that time I hope that you will be with us and not with them. That is what everyone is saying in all of these conversations regarding America not being America any longer and our disgust with govt. and what it has become. We are not advocating anarchy.

Bloomberg’s Fairy Tale GUN Free Communist World http://janmorganmedia.com/2012/12/in-bloombergs-fairy-tale-gun-free-communist-world/ "Has he lost his mind? Why is no one looking into his mental stability? First let’s examine some of the phrases he uses: “Bypass Congress.†“Executive Order.†It seems to me that Bloomberg’s view of America is more like a communist dictatorship rather than President of a Republic. Of course, Bloomberg knows the only way dictators can rule lives is to take away their ability to rise up and fight back against tyranny."

Oliver Stone: ‘US has become an Orwellian state’ http://rt.com/news/oliver-stone-us-orwellian-022/ "Americans are living in an Orwellian state argue Academy Award-winning director Oliver Stone and historian Peter Kuznick, as they sit down with RT to discuss US foreign policy and the Obama administration’s disregard for the rule of law. Both argue that Obama is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and that people have forgiven him a lot because of the "nightmare of the Bush presidency that preceded him".'

I guess I just don't have the reading comprehension that others do. I don't see where Commando68 said that he wanted to, advocated for, or would participate in overthrowing our govt., by force or by any other means. It is the govt., in case you have not noticed, that has been threatening the citizen, not vice versa. So I don't think Commando68 will be 'facing' you or any other patriots Dave, he has not said anything that would indicate that he would be. Let's not make people out to be anarchists when they've given absolutely no evidence whatsoever of being one.

"Still, backers are hopeful, noting that a ban on high-capacity magazines — which have been involved in many of the recent high-profile instances of mass gun violence — would be a smaller concession for gun-rights advocates than a broader assault weapons ban." I'm pretty sure most shooters, if not all, were wearing pants at the time of their massacres. Should we then outlaw pants?
A well-articulated and timely article. This "national conversation" shouldn't be about whether gun ownership is permissive or politically correct, but why gun ownership was so highly regarded by our founding fathers and is still very relevant today. This should be required reading by anyone who enters the political fray. Thanks to the OP for sharing.
Exactly. Gun ownership is in essence a part of the Citizens final checks and balances against a government turned tyrranical. All Citizens should understand their rightful part and duty in gun ownership, even if they choose not to participate in ownership.

The fact is, there is NO way to tell the difference unless a person has detailed inside information about that seller and the particular item that he is selling at the moment, where he obtained it and how much he paid for it. So there's no point at all in anyone whining about it. Buy it or don't. Otherwise, people are just making unverified accusations based mostly on emotion. We all don't like how a lot of things operate. Life goes on. All that can be said to people whom this upsets is to make your lists of people you suspect of being gougers, exile them from your buying life and move on.

Until they outlaw those! Interestingly, these liberals who are always whining about people not paying enough in taxes, most of them seem to have accountants to prepare their returns. You don't need an accountant for filling out the 1040-EZ form, so I guess these hypocrites are taking every deduction that they can legally get, just like the rest of us.
