Burglary possibly tied to gun owner map

I doubt that they thought they were doing the right thing. More like sensationalizing and stirring up trouble just to sell papers and make a point (bad one) with their agenda driven "news". -

Don't know, but that is what we need to figure out. The media is the key to this thing. -

Yeah, he could have been my grandfather's twin brother. He had a lot of folks mesmerized. -
A very lengthy and thorough poll done over this past weekend. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/01/13/poll-results-blaze-readers-on-guns-and-the-second-amendment/ There were many questions that generated some very strong responses. Each one of these had 99% “NO†response. Will an assault rifle ban prevent violent crime? Would you surrender your Second Amendment rights in exchange for a promise from the government to protect you from all harm? Should the UN or any other foreign entity have any say about American gun rights or the Second Amendment? Should a gun owners address be published? Did you vote President Obama? 99% Say “NO!â€

Nice first post liberal. :shake: So because some guy goes in a cafe and maims and kills 15 people with a machete, I then can't own a machete? Is that your logic? Or because our military has 500,000 troops (worldwide), we 300,000,000 should go hide in fear? Get a brain. -
Problem is, our "reps" don't rep any longer. They say words to get elected, then get to D.C. and give us the big finger. Been writing, calling (weekly) for years. Will continue to so so, but believe it all to be in vain at this point.

The Second War of Independence Is Declared
mcurrier replied to mcurrier's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
We are well past the point where things like signing petitions, writing letters, boycotting newspapers, not watching tv shows would ever make a serious change. The media needs to be cleaned up. They don't see that they have a problem, thus they will not willingly clean up. Most of the ones in there now have been brought up to do things the way that they do, they don't know what true journalism and objectivity are. The media house needs a clean sweep so that it can start over. The media used to be considered the fourth, unofficial branch of government, the independent watchdog who would sound the alarm to the people when government started going astray. Now, the media is in government's hip pocket and is complicit in pulling the wool over the eyes of the people. They have no honor and their lies know no bounds. There is no such thing as investigative journalism any longer. Don't even get me going on the fact that most of these so-called journalists can't spell, have terrible sentence structure and often leave out the key points of a story that would even make it a "story" (who, what, when, where, how, why). The media is not our friend, it needs to be dealt with as an enemy or such as a hostile witness in a courtroom. The longer we let the media sling it's lies, the more difficult it will be to repair this country. -
ARMED VIGILANTE GROUPS POLICING 2 MEXICAN TOWNS http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/L/LT_MEXICO_ARMED_CIVILIANS?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2013-01-12-18-48-21 From the last paragraph of the article - A man in a ski mask at one roadblock told reporters that townspeople had to act against criminals. "They kill, extort, rape. You do not know if they are drug dealers, thugs, who want to grab everything," he said. "We want to return peace and tranquility to the entire population. Only the people can restore order." ---------- Prophetic?

Second Amendment: Do Militias Matter Today?
mcurrier replied to mcurrier's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Maybe we need to start forming militias again. You know where we all show up on Saturday mornings and parade around and march and train. Not the white supremacy or Nazi party stuff. More like what our founding fathers used to do, back in 1776. Could you imagine every county seat having a militia company marching around the square or around the courthouse on a given Saturday. That would be a true militia then! What would be even better is if the county and the state actually started using them for emergency purposes.
Watching THE FIGHTING KENTUCKIAN on Netflix and the movie starts off just like you described! -
The Second War of Independence Is Declared

I've been thinking about all of the possibilities of what could happen, what might happen, what should be the outcome, etc. I've come to the conclusion that the media is the problem and the enemy. The media needs to be cleansed. They are corrupt, inept, incompetent, have an agenda, and are merely the extension of the liberal Democrat party. They are where 0bama, Dems and whining liberals get their power. Imagine the past 30 years with an unbiased media who actually reported the news objectively rather than creating "news" or covering up the truth. The so-called "media" is absolutely FULL of lies. The lies MUST STOP! The media must be cleaned up, perhaps by force if necessary. They are the crux of the problem in my estimation. They constantly lie and are not held accountable. They are given a pass. Their falsifications MUST be exposed and stopped. They are what have enabled 0bama and those like him. They are give him power. The power that they derive from their offices is very weak compared to the power that a lapdog media gives them. This is where the battle is in my opinion. Food for thought. -

So who isn't really worried about the current shortage of stuff?
One thing I forgot to mention, if you are hoping to find a specific caliber/brand of ammo at Wal-Mart you can hop on their website and sign up for emails when that product comes back in stock at the Wal-Mart you visit.
True. However... the way that their email notification system works... I originally thought that their system would initiate an email alert when new stock was scanned into their system as it was unloaded upon delivery to each location. The manager of the Sporting Goods dept. told me that the emails would not go out until their system updated at midnight on the day of receiving the delivery. Stock would already be gone within minutes or hours of delivery, so the email alert would reach the customer too late anyhow. Inventory would be deducted in the local system as it was sold, and by midnight there would most likely be no stock remaining, thus no email alerts would go out. -
I was a licensed gunsmith about 30 years ago. Any time a firearm came in for repair it was logged in with all info and logged out when it was picked up. You had to have a record of all guns in the shop and any part with serial number, frame, etc. I was only checked one time, a friend in Georgia was checked about every month. I don't know the rules now, I would think a log would still be used?
Log, yes, that's a given. The question was regarding TICS.

Second Amendment: Do Militias Matter Today?
mcurrier replied to mcurrier's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
A tocuhy subject that many apparently don't wish their names attached to I guess. -
And when you pick your pawned firearm up you will still need to complete a TICS background and pay the $10. Even if it was you that dropped it off and were the one picking it back up. Dolomite
Unless that is a recent deveopment, I never did when pawning a gun here in TN several times about 15-19 years ago.
So as along as one does not default on payment, the question would be if the item became a banned item and you made the last payment would you be allowed to get it back? 1. Load terms met, (repayment) 2. they are holding it and have to FFL it back to you I think. But could they will be another question.
That remains to be seen.
