Persons who committed a violent crime as a juvenile would be prohibited from firearm purchase until age 30. Persons convicted of 2 or more crimes involving drugs or alcohol within a three-year period would be prohibited from firearm purchase for a period of 10 years. Persons convicted of a single drug-trafficking offense would be prohibited from gun purchase. Persons determined by a judge to be a gang member would be prohibited from gun purchase.   Wow.  That'll fix Chicago for sure!

  Where is the "dislike" button?  Sorry C.A., I don't dislike you, but there are already tons of laws on the books that every time each one was implemented it was supposed to be the end-all law that would solve everything.  They don't enforce most of the laws that we already have and they don't prosecute criminals, they baby them and give them a revolving door in and out of prison.  Mo law is going to fix anything unless you enforce it, and they have too many as it is.  Their end goal time is NOT to solve any "safety" issue or to protect anyone, it is for full banning and confiscation so that they are then free to do anything they want without anyone stopping them.  Plain and simple.

I knew about 2,3 and 4, but not 1 and 5.  Very interesting on the details though.

  Kinda like the monkey/ape in 2001: A Space Odyssey who took a bone an clobbered another ape over the head with it.  Or like the "assault rock" currently for sale on eBay.  Anything can be a weapon, but idiots don't understand that.  It's the operator.  When planes crash and they can't figure out why, they blame it on the pilot, not the plane.  But when some guy shoots up a _____, it's the gun's fault.  What's up with that?
