  1. Casada=Good Naifeh and Hardaway= bad What's the time limit on these losers talking? (individually) "Knee-jerk reactions..." MORON. They just told you that the same bill has had NO (i.e. ZERO) problems in 36 other states. Do you not speak english?
  2. "We should listen to those opposed to this bill" Not to the will of the people. What an @sshat!
  3. Now they are wasting time explaining rules to some woman who should know the rules if she is there.
  4. MAN! How many dumb@ass trivial little bills do these idiots put through every day?!?! They are flying through some of these in only a minute or two.
  5. You know you can watch this on channel 8-2 (over-the-air digital broadcast). That might be the same as channel 3 (local govt.) on Comcast.
  6. It's getting nasty on there. Still arguing about 147.
  7. A story received in an email. Listed as 'undetermined' on Snopes. Still a great story either way. ------------- Will you give this to my Daddy? Last week I was in Atlanta , Georgia attending a conference. While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer.. I immediately turned around and witnessed one of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen. Moving through the terminal was a group of soldiers in their camos. As they began heading to their gate, everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering. When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for, it hit me. I'm not alone. I'm not the only red-blooded American who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families. Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so we can go to school, work and home without fear or reprisal. Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our service men and women, a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old, ran up to one of the male soldiers. He kneeled down and said 'hi.' The little girl then asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her. The young soldier, who didn't look any older than maybe 22 himself, said he would try and what did she want to give to her Daddy. Then suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek. The mother of the little girl, who said her daughter's name was Courtney, told the young soldier that her husband was a Marine and had been in Iraq for 11 months now. As the mom was explaining how much her daughter Courtney missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up. When this temporarily single mom was done explaining her situation, all of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second.. Then one of the other servicemen pulled out a military-looking walkie-talkie. They started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it. After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to Courtney, bent down and said this to her, 'I spoke to your daddy and he told me to give this to you.' He then hugged this little girl that he had just met and gave her a kiss on the cheek. He finished by saying 'your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and he is coming home very soon.' The mom at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the young soldier stood to his feet, he saluted Courtney and her mom. I was standing no more than 6 feet away from this entire event. As the soldiers began to leave, heading towards their gate, people resumed their applause. As I stood there applauding and looked around, there were very few dry eyes, including my own. That young soldier in one last act of selflessness, turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney with a tear rolling down his cheek. We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and thank God for them and their sacrifices. At the end of the day, it's good to be an American.
  8. So LEO's can "mix guns and alcohol", but not civilians. Many chp carriers have MUCH more training and experience than many LEO's. AMAZING!
  9. Nancy Pelosi is now a Saint. On a Saturday afternoon, in Washington, D. C., House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's aide visited the Cardinal of the Catholic cathedral. He told the Cardinal that Nancy Pelosi would be attending the next day's sermon, and he asked if the Cardinal would kindly point out Pelosi to the congregation and say a few words that would include calling Pelosi a saint. The Cardinal replied, "No. I don't really like the woman, and there are issues of conflict with the Catholic Church over certain of Pelosi's views." Pelosi's aide then said, "Look. I'll write a check here and now for a donation of $100,000 to your church if you'll just tell the congregation you see Pelosi as a saint." The Cardinal thought about it and said, "Well, the church can use the money, so I'll work your request into tomorrow's sermon." As Pelosi's aide promised, House Speaker Pelosi appeared for the Sunday sermon and seated herself prominently at the edge of the main aisle. And, during the sermon, as promised, the Cardinal pointed out that House Speaker Pelosi was present. Then the Cardinal went on to explain to the congregation -"While Speaker Pelosi's presence is probably an honor to some, she is not my favorite person. Some of her views are contrary to those of the church, and she tends to flip-flop on many other views. Nancy Pelosi is a petty, self-absorbed hypocrite, a thumb sucker, and a nit-wit. Nancy Pelosi is also a serial liar, a cheat, and a thief. Nancy Pelosi is the worst example of a Catholic I have ever personally witnessed. She married for money and is using it to lie to the American people. She also has a reputation for shirking her Representative obligations both in Washington, and in California. She simply is not to be trusted." The Cardinal completed his view of Pelosi with, "But, when compared to Senators Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, and John Kerry, House Speaker Pelosi is a saint."
  10. This is NOT the first time that this has been attempted. From the 1934 Chicago Tribune - Pay particular attention to the 'Plan of Action For U.S.'
  11. I think it's an ISP logging trap.

  13. Thanks 56FordGuy, you saved me a lot of typing! +10,000,000,000,000 (that's ten TRILLION to you obama lovers)
  14. Yeah! I thought d*ckcheese was supposed to pull us all together and we'd be in the streets singing kumbaya together. Looks like things are more divided now than ever. I just can't forget that day when the markets thought the 'stimulus' wasn't going to pass and they rallied, but then congress came back and approved that cr@p a few days later and the markets dived. That said it all right there.
  15. Let's outlaw war while we're at it! Why didn't we think of this before?!?! That will solve everything. No one will ever be killed again because there will be a law against it saying so.
  16. While I absolutely agree with all the statements of outrage... This story was old news even when posted at 6:44pm. The company has already retracted their stance and the woman has been allowed to rehang her flag as of around 4pm today. Tons of us emailed the company this morning and gave them heck. It actually does work.
  17. Service at Las Palmas has been flushed for about the past year. I don't get it. The food isn't as good either, not like it used to be, but the service really bites.
  18. That is the proper way to do it after all.
