Such a sadly preventable tragedy. The weapon could have sat there until the action rusted out of it, without incident. A lesson, hard learned. Hands off while people are down range.

First post here. My name is Shawn. I recently moved to Knoxville from ... well ... a god forsaken pit of taxation with a benefit addicted populace. Buuut, a more right leaning majority demographic is only one reason why I am sooo glad to be here in Tennessee. There is also the friendlier attitude toward firearms and the abundance of outdoor and indoor facilities in which to punch little holes in paper. I have yet to find a "home" range facility, but I am still new to the area so that will sort itself out soon enough. I shoot as often as I can. I own a variety of firearms, handguns and long. I also reload, 6 pistol calibers and 3 rifle calibers. Looking forward to reading and participating.
