Great choice. That was my first can when I moved to this free state Enjoy!

I am wondering if you had standard anti-walk pins, but possibly the take down pin was the item that had the wedge screw arrangement? JP use to make one a while back. Trigger pins diameter are small enough that the wall diameter combined with the smaller screw, I'd think it wouldn't generate much torque on a limited engagement area to be effective long term.

Update: Looks like we done broke it. Scheduled maintenance

Its the one in the pic that SmokyBaer posted. I bought it form another member on the M14 forum almost 10 years ago. I had bought a new National Match and was planning to do the upgrade. The difference between the National Match and M21 at that time was M21 stock used the oversize match stock with the adjustable adjustable cheek riser, and the heavy profile barrel. National Match's were already glass bedded, so for me I wanted the adjustable riser since I planned to scope the rifle. But I never ended doing that or even shooting the National Match since I had a couple of other M14's at the time. Looking over my accumulated parts, I know I don't plan to do that in the future since I've not ever shot the NM and considering I may sell that. I forgot how I went hog wild on collecting back then. I have other GI stocks and vented hanguards. I was thinking if I sold the NM I would get one of the current shorter barrel versions and might use one of the GI stock / handguards as I wont end up ever scoping one realistically.

Natches has some very low price on either 9mm or 40 CCI Independence brass. It was 199.99 for 1k about 2 hours ago, now showing at 209.99. But the catch is, all the other gun crazy horders are slammin their website and you may not be able to get in. I have been trying on and off for the last 2 hours and get internal server error, so have not been able to verify the caliber. I am assuming that some folks are managing to get in and buy based on their site volume alogarithm upping the price . Good luck. Hope some of the gents here can luck into some

Did they change it up so that you have to have subscribe just to look at the marketplace? I have a high enough post count and marketplace feedback so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm a very infrequent flyer these days. I was looking to get an idea of what an M21 stock might be going for. I forgot I had gotten one years ago until I ran into it today. From context looks like this might be a sold one, but not go for me. https://www.m14forum.com/threads/for-sale-stock-parts.521451/

I literally spit up my drink and laughed at that last thing. The first time I encountered euro inspired ‘combat sights’ I felt the same way. What? You cover up what you want to hit? You mean so you can’t actually see what you’re hitting? No matter how many times I hear the rational over ‘target’ sight, its not a selling point.

After watching 4” Anacondas on GB for the last 3 years, I was happy Colt finally decided to add a 4” model to the Anaconda line earlier this year. Truth be told, I have a love - hate relationship with Colt, so I reluctantly caved to fill the hole left in the stable by selling my 629. I just received it back from Colt today, the test target had 4 rounds making one large hole dead center. Look forward to taking my first shots with it. Hope to update with impressions after that.

This is the picture I wish we'd see in the mass (liberal) media. These are the ones who would keep AK's if they are banned. These are the ones who won't be remove their brace now that its a caliber increasing death device. Pretty good bet all 3 are felons who cant legally own guns. But expect to see plenty of pics of the law abiding at guns stores instead pm their next anti-gun misinformation post

I'm pretty happy with my 509. In 2019 there was a problem with 509's breaking strikers and they recommended on dry firing the pistols. Apex offered a replacement strengthened striker. FN had updated the striker later that year and as far as I know they resolved that problem. Haven't encountered any issues with mine, suppressed or not. I did opt for the Apex striker because mine was made at the time it was a concern. I have a number of Glocks. I have a 23C as a carry gun. I like them. The FN is an easier gun to shoot well IMO

For you consideration, true Colt carbine complete with stamped rollmark as well as all the stamped 'C' goodness before their fall a few years ago. Stamped C in upper, barrel, and bolt carrier. 6940P's where not made in large volumes, ones is nice shape are hard to come by. Monolithic upper Piston operated vs. DI Heavy SOCOM Barrel Flip up back-up irons (Matech rear, Integrated Colt gas block front) This one has a Keyhole Forge lower. Very nice condition overall. Light use wear with a small touchup spot on the lower receiver that is not very noticeable.

ad closed AR-15 for sale w/ mags & ammo - PENDING

NP, it's a common misconception many folks have who aren't that into Beretta's. Understandable due to the color and the recent introduction of steel frames in the new gen guns. The only steel old school guns where the Billennium, Centennial, and Steel I. All are pretty rare and have frame mounted safeties so easy to tell apart. -

Inox guns have the standard Aluminum frame, they are anodized to match the upper vs being the usual black. -

American wood an steel roots run deep! With that some bias may result. I have 2 Garands, 1 M1A, and 3 Galil's. The Garand goes without saying for any American citizen calling themselves a gun enthusiast. My thoughts on the other 2. I have been enamored with the M14 platform since I was a child. Of the 3, its the one I still love to look at the most. Its the one I want to like the most. Its the one I've put the most time and energy into from chasing NOS parts to diving into the Sage EBR world. After having 5 of them (all full length), it pains me to put it 3rd among the 3, not to mention the risk of being banned. They are great to hold, I got some good accuracy out of the EBR, but with ball (which is my base since that is what a MBR would typically be using) I found them to be just OK. IMO is they can be finicky with ammo, which lowers it on my list. Specifically cycling with lower power 308 or when they start to run dry/dirty. For me, ammo agnostic is my number 1 MBR requirements. I sold 3 in CA, sold 1 here to another member. I kept my new unfired M1A National Match, because not having something M14 based seems un-American. Plus the fact I have stacks of GI mags, stocks, and parts. But 12 years later, it still sits unfired in the back of the safe. I watched the Bula development, but lost interest when some other 308 offerings came out. Springfield did come out with more interesting versions / updated chassis later. I have considered getting one of the shorter CQB versions, just never got around to it. Galil. When someone asked what is the most reliable MBR, you'd be pretty hard pressed and be reaching for reasons it is not the AK. A modernized one that charges on the CORRECT side for 90% of the population....nuff said. While Bula did come out with what they call "a left handed version" (so wrong!) later on, Galil and Czechpoint beat em to it. I got both the x51 and x39 Gen 1's when they came out. All the good bits Leander mentioned. I like the ergos, and my particular 308 out-shot 3 of my M1A's with ball, about equal with the EBR. BUT it didn't give a squirt what ammo you threw it it. It would throw the brass from low power brass almost as far without a hiccup. They are over gassed, pretty typical for an AK. People at the range 15 feet away will give you nasty looks for fling hot brass at them. I personally dont think the package feels cheap, but that is a bit subjective. The factory rail covers do have some movement, but I personally dont have a problem with the polymer lower portion of the receiver. I enjoyed by Gen 1 enough that I picked up a Gen II in 308. IMO opinion these are highly underrated here. FWIW, the right choice is to get both. Life is short, you NEED both!

If you aren't in a hurry, I'd set up a search with email notification on eBay. GB for new high volume makers generally better, but for smaller or harder to find, I've had better luck on eBay. Less surprises on condition as well. Looks like one sold a month ago just to give an expectation of cost for comparison to sourcing a new one thru other avenues. https://www.ebay.com/itm/285165755699

Quick update. The factory optic cover plate would not come off as intended. An out of spec plate was forced into place when built. I was able to eventually remove it but revealed damage to the area from the installation. it’s on its way to the mothership to inspect and address the slide damage and get a replacement optic plate.
