  1. I’ve bought 3 92’s between 2019 - 2022 that came from the TN plant. All 3 were web orders, sight unseen. 2019 - 92G Brigadier Volunteer. Absolutely perfect. 2019 - 92 Compact. Action fit issues heavy galling and shavings in the action. The locking block was shaving pieces off the frame. Factory obviously doesn’t check after test firing. Sent to Beretta and received new replacement gun approx a week later. The replacement was perfect. Nov 2022 - Wilson 92G Centurion. Almost perfect. It’s technically perfect but pet peeve for 92 fans when the barrel lockup doesn’t leave barrel centered in slide, rather slightly offset. Not much you can do. it’s cosmetic and not considered a defect. it doesn’t effect how the gun shoots. Sometimes a locking block swap may help center. It’s the downside of ordering over the web versus hand selecting at the LGS if you are ok paying the extra $200 - $300 for one of these with a centered barrel. tbh, with the premium on the Wilsons and the marketing that they hand select parts for fit, I thought it was ironic that gun had the offset when the two other ‘cheap’ of the shelf 92’s didn’t. while 1 out of 3 doesn’t seem great, the customer service and call back I got from a supervisor on the 92 compact with turnaround on a new replacement was outstanding. full marks. For a standard gun that is not significantly higher priced at an LGS, I would have zero hesitation getting one I could lay hands on. The issues that cause concern can usually be felt in cycling the action or are visually obvious with a light in the action / taking the slide off if allowed. and you can avoid an off centered barrel too lol.

  4. We came here over 5 years ago to get away from liberals and high costs. But so did everyone else. The pandemic forever changed the face of retirement. Add to that corporate land and home grabbing to expand rental markets, anything within reasonable driving distances is over priced for retirement. The Question becomes how far away from needs/ amenities can you tolerate. At a minimum, 45 mins to an hour out of major urban areas seems to give decent value. Especially if you are willing to work undeveloped land.
  5. I was thinking skeletonize the magwell area under the release and slotting handguard. But yeah, would be more because you could vs getting anything significant. What's the barrel nut, guessing aluminum based on the spacing of the handguard bolts? probably already got lightening cuts if so. 4.5 lbs with ammo, that's great!
  6. NIce! you dont need the top of that gas key, mill it off flush with the bolt heads get for a free half ounce or so You could probably just remove the entire key and replace with square piece of delrin or aluminum and run nylon bolts in place of the steel since no longer doing anything other than keeping the bolt from rotating when you manually cycle. Was it had to resist slotting holes in some of the other bits that are solid?
  7. As horrible as the incident was, glad to hear you had great care!! Here is wishing for a good outcome and speedy recovery.
  8. Doh, you meant the upper receiver. I misread. That is an Aero M4E1 threaded vs enhanced. they look better with their lower imo.
  9. @JeffsSig, pretty sure that is a Troy MRF rail
  10. Enablers!! If someone makes it over there, please report on the condition. The one pictured looks unissued. If that’s representative of the batch, that’s crazy good.
  11. I don’t consider myself a collector at all, but I am surprised at what I’ve accumulated over-time. The reasons are varied and many, but I have several un-fired guns. Like @Links2k, I bought some in pairs. Or multiple guns at the same time with specific intentions, but life and priorities seem to have their own idea about my plans. maybe have at 20 right now I have yet to fire. A couple I bought more than 10 years ago. I never intended them to sit, but I never intended to get old and start losing my hair either.

As the fear and anxiety around these grew last year, it had prompted governments to intercede. While the international agreements rely on voluntary participation, Europe has moved forward with legislation. Love or hate the democratic process, the direction is clear and it will just take us longer. They will end up filtering and restricting the foundation models AI draws from. Much like how social platforms restrict content. Leading up to an election year, timing and how much influence end products will have is unfortunate. As much as I loathe censorship and its usual effect on free speech, this is one of the items that may be appropriate to reach out to representatives to express concerns if you want to see something happen in the US sooner than later. I work in an industry that has seen high adoption. Businesses feel compelled to use AI when their competitors are using it in an effort to stay competitive with productivity / potential cost savings. Employees read that as job loss. The fear was palpable for some. Its limitations are noticeable and it gets things wrong quite a bit. In part due to use of stand alone internal deployments and use. Business will not use the platforms in the public sphere for privacy and security. This should limit bad actors from injecting wanted content into local instance's foundations. Big should. As end users, and realistically we will all be using it whether you know you are or not, being aware of the abuses now may be a good thing. I expect images and end products will eventually all be tagged with metadata or some form of ID such that it will be transparent that what you are looking at is the product of generative AI. Some socials do it already. Kind of surprised they arent all doing it for marketing purposes since this is really all about subscription $$$ now.

That’s totally fair. I appreciate it and apologize for pointed statements, and the very poor word choice in the first comments that caused this. It’s really too bad that thread devolved. Several pages in the beginning were very imaginative and interesting. I don’t understand the fascination with that one person.
