I would try to get a look at one in person if you have not had red dots in the past. I found red dots and old eyes dont always get along with one another. Specifically if you have any astigmatism at all, you may get some flare. Its still functional, but may not be what you expect or potentially disappointing.

Congrats grant. If you don’t mind my asking, what area in the NE are you moving too? Recently checked out Knox and did like the stuff further up and to the right. But not quite ready to retire yet to make that work. What did you do with your CA neutering parts(if any)? I think I’m keeping a couple mag blocks and a bullet button for a ceremonial burning!

Hi All, I am in the midst of moving… actually let’s go with escaping… from California. With family in Georgia I am no stranger to the south, but I’m very much looking forward to living here versus visit. I scouted out the Chattanooga and Knoxville areas including some real estate a couple weeks ago, but it looks like the influx of escapees like me have really helped y’all out with some home values based on the skyrocketing trend over the last six months to a year. So for now we have secured a rental East of Chattanooga, hoping for a slight correction. Wish we had done this sooner but it took me three years to talk the wife into this, so guess that is the cost of freedom and no grandfathering in based on intent to do it before it became popular. My only regret in that is the direct impact on my gun budget! I stopped in at Bud’s near Knox, OMG....it reminds me of 30 years ago in CA before the Socialists took over and started on their path to a full firearms ban. Sooo many choices. Awesome!
