Oh sure. I wasnt sure if it was just those that dont own Glocks proliferate that hooey. So in this scenario you have your Glock, with knowledge that its magless, extractor down and chamber empty. Safe to let your baby play with it. All you have to do is unload the slide catch, essentially just out of battery an 1/8" of an inch. Some folks bring it back and engage the slide lock or somewhere in between which will partially cock it. Easiest way for me (being a righty) is to hold it in my right hand with thumb against backstrap and fingers over the rear of the slide using the index finger on the rear sight to just nudge the slide out of battery. Barrel hood just dropping under the slide but not moving rearward. Then pull the slide lock down as its no longer under load. Or you can put it muzzle down into the table / cleaning matt and rock it forward to move it out of battery if you have any dexterity issues.

No sir, the context was field stripping and removing the slide. Sorry if that wasn't clear. You can remove the slide from a Glock without pulling the trigger. This assumes you know the condition of your weapon and that its not loaded. And would be familiar with how to know a Glock is not loaded or has one in the chamber. But of course...these folks may still think you need to pull the trigger...so you know....

Everytime I see this issue raised, It seems to always come with the obligatory mention of Glocks. And Of course, a handful sharing their dislike of them. All good, to each their own. It surprises me how many don’t realize it’s all based on a misconception. More accurately a falsehood. Truth is you can disassemble a Glock without pulling the trigger.

Common sense is an oxymoron. That’s why you can make a great living being a lawyer.

Nice! Love that old checkered trigger shoe

I use to get the 18 before I tried some other scotches that were more malt intense. I started to notice the backend of peat the 18 had that wasnt as noticeable in the 15. Couple drops of water handles that 3 years of age in my opinion. I now like the 15 a bit better. But I'd never say no to it if someone force one on me

Appreciate the comments. I've always suspected the hand select option is just a suckers ploy, its never made a difference. A little over 3 years ago I got a completely mint unissued T33, and the blem Galil's from a couple months ago were a deal. Half price and mine only had one small ding in the dust cover that disappeared with a dab from a blue pen. I know what Bill means, I am wary of their "collector" bits and would never buy from them. Couple years ago they had a batch of original minty M1 Carbines they claimed where from a collection and were being sold at a premium. Closer examination showed they had inconsistent parts and a some looked to be refinished. My recent dealing that brought me to ask this, was the recent batch of T33's, and more specifically the customer service side. The video said excellent condition and blued. Condition conflicted with the website but also said blued (original finish is blue) and the nicest they have ever had. I called and they told me the video was right. No mention of them being arsenal frakenguns. Turns out they were arsenal refinished parts guns. The finish was a cheesy parkerizing. I got one with a bad action from a poorly mated slide and it had scuffs and scratches on every surface. I literally mean that. Both sides of the slide, frame sides, back strap and front strap. So I sent a note to CS and they disputed the condition and video, without addressing the finish differences and being arsenal hacks. It just had too much stray for what it was suppose to be for me. They surprise was not the gun as much as how combative their customer service was about it. They had been good about it in the other occasion I had to deal with that kind of discrepancy. After a bit of hassle, they did refund most of my money, but it should have been less of a hassle in my opinion. -
Actually I didnt change it to the yahoo address, I signed up with that and have received emails fine until yesterday afternoon following the incident. At the point the spam report hit, when I came back the forum would not let me get in and wanted to to either confirm the email or change it. I hit the send confirmation to find nothing was being either sent or received. At which point I was forced to get a Gmail or stay locked out. I would love to switch it back, but need to see what is either preventing them from getting sent, or blocking them coming in The bigger issue is gmail started showing up in my SPAM folder though it is coming thru somewhere. Those had been coming to my regular inbox this AM after I set up forwarding to my Yahoo box.

Appreciate you gents looking at this. David are you seeing more of these thru the evening or just that initial spam notice earlier yesterday? Reason I ask is I still should see spam emails in my spam folders typically and there is nothing. I think its a software white list / black list deal based on later events. The messages above were before the issue came up. My ipad toggled some emails I did not check which did end up initially marking a TGO item as spam, but I went into spam and deslected so it routed back to the inbox. Following that, I stopped receiving emails and on visiting the site I received an opt in notice, which I did. Visiting later, my account was locked and wanted to send a confirmation email to email on file. Which I did 3 times or so without luck. At that point I was forced to switch to Gmail as it effectively locked my account out and the contact form is disabled. But....now the Gmail emails are routing to spam from the point McGyver PM'd me and the subsequents got sent. That one I or my devices cant take credit for. The big thing is...I want to keep the original email I have used on all other forums for years, just trying to figure out where the actual stop is since I cant see the messages or bounce backs. If there is a later bounce back is there contact info for yahoo as there is nothing I can find.

Thanks for that, PM sent.

Hey folks, I wanted to get ahold of an admin to see if they could fix a glitch in the system. Appreciate any references. The site will not send out emails to my primary address following a spam marking incident. Opted back in, etc, but it locked me out wanting to confirm emails it was not actually sending. Not a spam filter deal on my side, so guessing the site has a do not send list and needs to be removed. For now I had to create a new email to get unlocked. Tried the contact form and msg to tgo_actual, but not sure if those work. Thanks

Unfortunately it is a matter of time until it’s everywhere.the rate they have fallen in line says a lot. They are just Working them in order of revenue. Enjoy it while you can and if you can, make your large online purchases before it’s too late. that shrill noise in the background is the fat lady warming up....

How has your luck been with Classic recently?

Has anyone noticed change with any recent transactions with our friends at Classic? I've been pleasantly surprised as well as unpleasantly surprised over time. Goes with the territory dealing with surplus. Recently called to their attention some ....liberties lets say...more than the usual ones. And was curious if some have noticed any changes. -
You should be happy with that. I had the grip module already so I got the X-Carry upper from Sig before the guns dropped to $580. The upshot is I save a couple hundred and I love the idea of the new X-Compact so I'm going to pick one of those up. Your timing is good, Sig has a great sale on the current Romeo1 @ $199. You should jump on that before they sellout. They had been selling out in hours but its still live as of the time of this post. Its a pretty decent RDS. The new versions will have a more durable top cover and extended batter life, but will be much more. https://www.sigsauer.com/store/romeo1-1x30-mm-no-mount.html

Hola Amigo! Just in case you haven't fully adjusted Enjoy TN.

I see you have a matching pair at the end for the days it requires double fisted guns ablaze. I like how you roll sir!

I am no expert and its more a question of your VOIP providers tech, however it still sounds like a VOIP provider so likely could / should work with a converter provided your phone lines still have power to run the ringers. I dont follow your desire to run two phones together off the system, but if you do want to use them in general, I would suggest looking it up as you are not alone. Out of curiosity I did a quick search in Google and it returned a number of hits on the Ooma Forum from folks accomplishing this...with ringing. Throw this at Google and see if you find a match for your situation: ooma and rotary phone
-
Yes phone rings. Cap beat me to it, I use this device. You have to have an existing voice service, in my case At&t.

Yeah, I like the tea cup hold. Very old fashioned.

They certainly are tempting. Great pick up. I didnt even know they were in the wild yet. Does it have the adjustable sear cage? I heard they were available in Europe, but not sure if those were done after the fact. Be looking forward to your shooting impressions.

Thanks for confirming sir

Thanks for checking Nick and Hawk. I cant recall a basic stainless that had a standard crown, but there were tons of them I have never had or seen. Here is a pic from my G-SD. Sorry about the quality, coffee shakes Its from my 96G-SD, but my 92G-SD where ever it is running around in the safe.
-
The G-SD's are stainless with recessed target crowns. Though the target chamfer is not as pronounced as what you would see on some custom 1911's. The difference to the Elites is they are full length, and only full length with that feature I can think of, though I am not fully versed on some of the very rare variants out there.
-
Much Appreciated Bill. I think I'll take you up on that offer to check it out on a day you'll be there. Thanks! Eric

I feel that pain all to many days. I dont feel particularly cross-eyed at the time, but the target begs to differ !
