What is he of trainer of? How to talk out your butt? The only case of known (small numbers) failures I can think of was with frame damage in Beretta 96's used by PD's. They added buffers in the A1's out of concern. But the fails were usually crazy high counts and potentially could have had other contributing factors outside it being originally intended to be a 9mm platform. The anti-Beretta folks love to point at this, but the numbers are not significant relative to total used and PD's that did not have any problems with high counts.

I've shot my 23C/32C off the draw / low compressed with some high pressure and flash rounds without much of a problem. Cant thing of a great reason to do it from high. Played with rotation a bit. The ports in this appear smaller than the factory Glock ports, so not sure if that ends up slightly high focused pressure vs less overall. I would venture to say its less overall based on the ports being fairly forward keeping the dwell time similar with more gas going forward. The only downside I could see would be arguments against for nightstand gun in dark lighting for certain ammo that used a high flash powder. Should not be a problem with a good SD or even most target ammo. I have shot my 19C, 23C, 32C, and 20C with various loads in dark lighting for that purpose. 9mm generally pretty acceptable. Its a problem for 357Sig and 10mm unless you get some SD or LE ammo. Speer is really good about using low to no flash stuff for 357Sig for example.

Las Vegas shooting settlement - 735+ Million. At fault = MGM

What do you suppose the premium runs on a 1 Billion umbrella policy. I guess tourists end up paying for it. Could be worse, at least everybody hates tourists -

Legislation should be put in place that caps the max amount a law firm can exact from the BS mega dollar suits as its seems a conflict of interest. How many of these cases would disappear overnight? Its especially needed in case like this, where there are multiple "victims" and the law firm gets more than any of their clients when they did not suffer. Save having to go to great pains to decide what to spend their 250 million on. Solid gold toilet brushes? Oh choices choices.... -
Strike another blow for the legal system. MGM to pay for not stopping shooter. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-lasvegas-shooting/las-vegas-massacre-survivors-families-reach-735-million-settlement-with-mgm-idUSKBN1WI1Q6

Honestly that seems similar to asking, hey, can you pick out a screwdriver for my friend...no use case...but I want it to be a good one. You could drive yourself insane. Can pops put you in contact? Best to get it straight from the horses mouth with so many generic references being made with the 1911 being one of the most copied guns of all time. Are they near you? You have Bud's and Smokey Mountain just down the road. I'd suggest (if they are reasonably close) that they make a little road trip. If he doesn't know what he really wants, may be enlightening.

A more carry-able carry gun. I have to hand it to them, did not rest on their laurels knowing the competition would respond. I personally am a huge fan of factory ported guns and am glad to see it. Sights would change your manual of arms potentially. Its interesting. https://www.sigsauer.com/store/p365-sas.html?utm_campaign=P365SAS_LAUNCH&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Eloqua

A case can be made for not wearing pants being a deterrent all in itself, or at least a good distraction. This is my rifle...this is my gun....

Vortex customer service thumbs up

Only have great things to say about them as well. One scope exchange and a couple support questions dealing with a venom. They know who butters their bread! Truly an example others should strive for. -

Damn I wish Credit goes to someone else where I ran across it, glad to see it was useful. When you start looking at, it really makes a statement about China's capacity and how bad it must be for their workforce. Consider the cost of raw material, labor, export transport and fees, US shipping, and seller fees....how do they manage to sell these that low. If they turn .50 cents profit, I'd be surprised. So it occurred to me, being a desktop item...its funded by the NSA listening device Haven't found it yet, but still looking. -
I imagine its like anything, once you've run encountered a problem or look for supporting intergoogle results (hate can be found for any gun), its not unusual to then see an even wider net cast as irrefutable fact. In doing so, typically folks look past others reporting different experience or the intergoogling results which are contradictory. Beauty is we are free to evaluate all the facts we choose to, or our own experiences. I find it interesting that many PD's use (or used) XD/XDMs with high round counts in service and during trials without reporting abnormal failure rates. Same for some gun ranges. I have to think there is something in the works here around sample size. I am glad to say with thousands of rounds thru a combination of M1A, 1911, EMP, and 2 XDM's, I can not corroborate that Springfield labeled guns are guaranteed to have catastrophic failure at low round count. Perhaps I am doing something very wrong? In the meantime, I will carry on enjoying the multiple flavors of Koolaid I have been for years

P365 quick size comparison in vid.... Looks like Its already had some initial media testing and should be in stores soon for early adopters (not me!). Those reviews are very favorable, only issues being the RDS options are going to be initially limited (2 that fit) and the trigger can be heavier than some may prefer out of the box. https://www.handgunsmag.com/editorial/springfield-hellcat-9mm-review/368034 https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2019/9/25/tested-springfield-armory-s-hellcat/

Hate to say it, same for me. I've never had one of my foreign jobs go back to the US mothership, but a shameful % of the US millennial made have. Probably because I like Sigs more than I should and they are the bottom of the QC barrel IMHO. I never bought a P365 I might have to try one of these with the RDS to go with my big bro XDM OSP.

Downsizing is no different than any other diet....I fail at both pretty badly. Fat with too many toys, things could be worse!

SA takes a shot across Sig's bow. 2 years later A huge 1 round increase in base mag capacity, but with an RDS variant available. https://www.springfield-armory.com/hellcat-features/ Some folks avoid SA due to their moves a couple years back, wonder if this will matter for them. One thing seems clear, if you own one of the new Dodge same name cars....here you go.

I am sure I will enjoy it for entertainment's sake, but take it for it what it is, an extended Taran Tactical infomercial.

Welcome back and thanks for sharing. Coming from a small mag state when moving, plan for the expense of getting normal size mags One of the more pleasurable expenses.

Thanks for your concern. Did you find it interesting that TAG, seemed to have difficulty verifying the policy history, apparently because it did not fit their narrative? Citing Google research as their source, when that same source does give a good indication of the history of said policy. Problems with credibility and accuracy in media is not just a left issue. I'm good with it. If someone wants to throw this in and not appreciate the stark contrasts with the clear anti 2A moves at Walmart and their CEO's jumping in on and funding explicit anti 2A politics / campaigns....more power to them. -
Last year I started seeing magnifying glasses showing up in the mail after admitting the years where finally catching up to my eyes. I found these lighted magnifiers helpful. @ under $10 with the coupon thought I would share. Didn't need another one, but hey...freebie tweezers. Listed @ $32.90, use coupon "70KWWYSS" to get $23.03 off, for a final price of $9.87 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NYVX1DT?smid=A1ZIO3PCRNW7R3&psc=1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=edealinfocom-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325 Sorry if this is the wrong section, move as needed.

Definitely. They current market is saturated and the price of any AR today confirms. Other name manufactures making similar product at half the price. They were smart to work on niche versions, but they were starting to slow. Plenty of dealers have dropped them and no longer are stocking dealers given they are forced to by every product versus just the ones they want to sell. I see another angle. Stop production, ride the wave of current sentiment and fear....then go back into production at higher prices with less units and boom...instant larger margins. Now, the anti 2A stigma is something they will have to overcome. Whether this move is Springfield Armory level stigma or not....that'll be interesting. Plenty of folks love the pony, more than the crossed cannons me thinks.

There has been plenty of discussions of this over the last 10 days or so since this came out. Most of the left 'victories' dances are using paraphrasing of Colts original statement, then their updated statement. The left media portraying it as done and over for good. While other sources are using fuller statements and earlier discussions with Colt where it appears temporary. But as the heavy left biased mainstream media picks this up, most folks are only getting the left slanted released. The industry side includes such statements as: "Colt’s chief executive officer, Dennis Veilleux, says the company is not permanently ending production but believes there is already an adequate supply of sporting rifles on the market. " Take it for what its worth. Time will tell exactly how long "the forseeable future" is. Is it forever, or months. Timing does not play to the 2A folks, Bad move on their part no matter how it unfolds.

Looks like this has spilled over to its own thread after mention in the handgun section. Folks may be jumping the gun calling it done based on partial info and emphasis. I also have a tin foil hat theory on this one. As it said later in that article, " Colt’s rifle line production is occupied, at least for the time being, with outstanding contracts which include orders through police and defense channels. " Operative works being...for the time being. Its reported elsewhere this is a resource reallocation simply to meet there gov contracts and comm to comeback. It is also reported they have SOCOMS and related parts on order for later production (both comm and gov). They have used overruns from gov contracts on the commercial line on that model. The commercial SOCOMS are a success for them, and sell as many as they can slap together. They are not likely to stop that gravy train for a clearly over carbine. In the lead up to this with low manpower, the quality has take a hit. Its a good move. Hope they get there stuff in order and come back with an improved comm rifle production sense. Now with foiled hat in hand, I would not be too surprised if they were intentionally vague. Nothing sells like a scare. If you want to get folks to buy a product, say its going to not be available. especially in a saturated market with less expensive competition. You sell what is out in inventory with rising pricing. The commercial SOCOM uppers are up $200 recently and folks are actively searching them.
