  1. That’s what I was curious about. Never shot a Bhp and couldn’t get a sense of a comparison in that regard. read the disclaimer, but suspected you did a bit better in reality from the full text and steels. To explain If that wasn’t put well, the second part was trying to get a read for a sense for accuracy, even if you technically aren’t trying. If this makes sense, a return on effort investment. Like results came easier than they should. But I get ya if you feel you don’t feel you could judge that fairly at the point. Appreciate the extra info.
  2. Appreciate the review. Could you elaborate on the accuracy, I wasn’t sure if you expected better relative to your HP’s, if those were better shooters (never owned one to know), versus combat accuracy is what is hoped for. I expected with the longer sight radius and being a modern SA it might have very good accuracy .
  3. Thanks for the background Chuck and appreciate sharing the thoughts. I can certainly see it for that (extreme?) example, TK was highly intelligent and the sophistication he demonstrated over many years. But not all geniuses go to Harvard I imagine. The age, camo, and livestreaming don’t suggest much, but enjoy the read. I actually did go see and touch TK’s cabin one of the times it was being transported thru Mather Field (former AFB). It was after the hype, so they just had it sitting in a lot of the tarmac for a few days. Not cordoned off, just sitting there. Kind of surreal.
  4. Details Details No doubt. 1A for them, not so much for us. Its unfortunate we couldn't do a 3 letter agency style 'reimagine' and interpret. While I'm dreaming out loud. I do like Chucks tinfoil hat allusion. just the handful of headlines seemed to be ticking the boxes of many of the hop topics heading into the primaries. The timing of these events makes it even more, well, maybe I need to use two layers of foil. I hate seeing that folks here are actually reading any of the drivel this person would have, or has been claimed to have put out there. It is exactly what he wanted and seeing himself as insignificant or marginalized is what drove part of the behavior as if they just put it on their social no one would do that. Even if one believes its actually the product of an agency, same effect. One of the headlines (I dont actually read the articles as the bias in the headlines is too much) had the first order of business for a 3 letter was running to his place to check for one. Maybe not odd today, but I always question accuracy of the interwebs. Can I ask, for those that do look at this things, is it more of a watching a trainwreck situation? I know you don't expect to find any real rationale since he's obviously not stable. Just curious what you find of interest in it.
  5. When they stop giving these them a platform! They know they can write manifestos and live stream and the media will put out it there and make them famous. And spur the copy cats. You can’t stop crazy, but you can take away their incentives. Pass legislation preventing media from publishing and broadcasting any such related items, never allow their names to be disclosed, and do away with the big socials…problem 99% solved. unfortunately, long way to say never. The media ban would prevent the weaponizing of these events again gun owners, and shutting down the major socials would cause mass hysteria, riots, and suicides though the world would be a better place for it in the end.
  6. Congrats on the add. Fits right in. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a detective version. Great to see a pic of one
  7. …and a round thing in your face… I can’t get that song or this pic out of my head now. Not that it’s bad thing. Thank you ??
  8. Looking for a nice condition 45 cal 4”upper or conversion kit for my 220 full size. Not interested in a complete pistol unless attractively priced. Lean toward a 220 having sold my 227 that was a bit to chunky tubby around the grip for me, even with the E2s
  9. You only go around once, why deprive yourself. if memory serves, you posted a pic of a part of the collection, on a custom rack? Seems like now is a good time for a pic repost
  10. I was hoping the top end fit a standard x frame so it would just be a matter of getting the slide and barrel, but with a 45 takedown it must use its own grip module. Have 10’s already. so hard sell for me if it’s proprietary and can’t use with my other 320 bits. Look forward to seeing the details and level of modularity.
  11. Wanted to note this here in case folks don’t check Events forum
  12. i’ve been running the HB in mine, can’t beat it for the money. had to increase the preload on the return spring since it wasn’t resetting, but it had a couple years on it by then. My stock trigger was in the 14lb range, so huge improvement in pull. Didn’t do much else for it, like the very long reset. End up with more of a decent rolling break long travel trigger you get used to. I’ve tried a friends CZ customs and that was great, much crisper and shorter reset, but $300. Don’t know if they still offer them. I am hoping Timney is produced again. It disappeared a couple months after intro, sold out. They said they were going to make them but it’s been over a year and a half. Possible they encountered a problem with the first ones, but the initial reports were very good. I did get the Mcarbo spring set for my second one, just to try. Same concept as HB. Haven’t gotten to it though.
  13. If your referring to The dealer warehouse in CA, I bought 3 mags for my tt33 and they fit just like the guns original mags. They also worked in another tt33 I got from brownells about 3 years ago. However, I bought them at the end of 2016 so not sure if they are the same as one’s sold currently. They were only $15 each and it possible they were united surplus, I just can’t recall. They would have to confirm for that timeframe if they were the same item.
  14. Yeah, he didn't think that thru. Alienating a key demo right up front isn't a great way to get their support. But if they stayed long enough to listen to the rhetoric, they probably didnt notice it at the part he got them foaming at the mouth mad. The only thing I took away was, hell, I want to know what the rest of the house looks like.
  15. I have OSP and RDP variants. I agree its snappier than anticipated for its size. I was disappointed with the effectiveness of the comp on the RDP. Its only slightly noticeable. For comparison, I notice much more of a difference between my G19C with its factory barrel vs non comp barrel. A function of the short lever arm. But I will disagree about its accuracy / groupings. For a 3" barrel, I thought it was excellent. When you have the sight picture down, no problem consistently hitting full sizes silhouettes @50yds or keeping 4" @ 15yds firing at a decent pace. However it is much more demanding on the basics to get there. Not an "easy" gun to shoot, does not suffer lax grip or inconsistent grip and trigger placement. It will reward very deliberate handling. And as others said, you may have to adapt to its slide catch. I think its fair to say you have to treat it differently. Unfortunately those things may not make it the ideal carry gun in a pressure situation. You'd have to spend more range time with it than you would other guns in your rotation.
  16. I'll propose another possibility, new person could be an out of state person moving or passing thru. The Google pointed me to this very thread when I was researching trailer tags after receive a notice from CA that my trailer was due. If you google TN trailer plates this thread is indexed there. I had zero intent of every giving CA another time of my money. They charge $10 for a 5 year tag. I saw that TN didn't require it so I never thought. But DMV recommended getting one as adjacent states are trailer ticket happy. So, thought fair enough, I'll get a TN plate. I was blown away by the fees!! 3x what a vehicle tag is?? That's simply out of line for a light weight utility trailer that mainly sits and causes far less road wear. At that point I was very happy to pay CA my $10 for the next 5 years. As much as I dislike things CA, what TN is doing with trailer plates is far worse than anything CA DMV was doing in general. And my $40 TN truck reg was $600 in CA!
  17. That is a good analogy, and a bit of both, or between. A very short stroke bumpfire trigger. But so is the Geissele AKT in am AK platform, though not quite as extreme easy enough from the shoulder. Errr.....I mean to say, or so I've been told. I'd neeeever..... I suspect the next step, and why RB is still up, is they are fighting this being owned by a lawyer and all. And the ATF knows it. But like Joe buddy knowingly signing illegal vaccine mandates, if you can sucker some into giving in, they will get some. In this case, if one is stupid enough to call the ATF as the letter suggests. "Best if we take a look sir, we'll have an agent by directly to discuss it with you. We are here to keep you safe"
  18. Or as in this case, creatively re-interpreted by the ATF via a ruling to fit their re-imagining of the law as its to inconvenient to get it changed. And they are given the ability to do, basically what they want. Clever to introduce the word "continuous" along with some other mumbo jumbo to say that is how it violates they existing 'a single function of the trigger', or the rifle's requirement 'single pull of the trigger'. But...the most interesting thing to me about this is that Rarebreed, when I looked, had these available for sale on their website.
  19. Amen! Sometimes I wish I could try that out.
  20. Did you take a look at some of the other things this 'winner' has bought very recently? All relatively pricey, several thousand range! Same pattern, comes in last day willing to pay more than anyone else would. Could be washing his cash no doubt, crypto millionaire , recent stocks or ???. Whatever it is, it actually looks legit we just cant relate as we have a pretty darn different relationship with money than he seems to. Here are a couple examples https://www.gunbroker.com/item/924751177 https://www.gunbroker.com/item/923926327
  21. Seems pretty much every type / brand specific forum has a core dynamic driven by the loyalists and the ownership/mods. arfcom and the akforum are a great example to me of how 2 different places you’d expect to be similar are anything but. Gun communities that are not brand aligned have their distinctive flavors to. Larger seems to mitigate the old guard clique issues and less sensitivities. It’s good to have options!
  22. If it helps anyone else, I picked up NordVPN yesterday. Playing with it still, but after adding to Desktop, iPhone, and Firestick its seems pretty good. Not seeing any decrease in speed to my fiber connection on speedtests. Love seeing geoblocking is no longer a worry. Uncensored news and the UK library for TV streaming! Look forward to the roadracing season starting up.
  23. I'd may be helpful to get specific timeframes on the anecdotes. The only time I hit up Walther was after ordering a new standard barrel to swap into my Q4 tac when I found a problem with it. They asked for a pic, sent me label within the hour, and a new barrel arrived 3 days later. Around Nov '18. Generally had pretty nice service within the industry for the handful of times I've had to deal with something. Overall I have found Springfield to be the most consistent overtime, always top marks for me. Sig is the most spoty, base on who you get and day they are having. S&W wheel guns are not something I will buy online anymore, only in person with feeler gauges in hand to check their barrel fitting since they no longer seem to check forcing cone gaps or if a barrel is clocked right. Generally it does seem that QC in the last 3 to 5 years has slipped. But to be fair, I have bought a lot more guns over the last 3 years compared to the prior 10 since moving away from a restricted blue state where I could not buy those guns.
  24. Looking at adding a VPN service. Would love some recommendations from those who have tried various providers. Considering Nord, Express VPN, and the like. Friend was telling me that the downside he has seen is around subscription services that you pay for legitimately rejecting IP's if its one they recognize as associated to one of the VPN providers. Any other downside by provider you have experienced would be helpful. Appreciate insights.
