How come I feel like a smoke?
-
When I first noticed it I was kind of put out. But someone, maybe Rocky the gunsmith, said they do that and it wouldn't be a problem. And it hasn't. It does sort of detract from the aesthetics of it and all. But it isn't like a 1911 where that would mean serious problems. So in all, I would also prefer one that didnt have that issue. But it isnt really an issue after all.

I'm on record as recommending a bill of sale referencing the firearm by make, model, caliber, and serial number. I am opposed to anything more than that but what consenting adults do in the privacy of their own dealings is their business. Don't ask, don't tell.
-
Gee my 239 has lots of wiggle slide-to-frame and has never given me a problem and is accurate as can be.
-
It isn't respectful to body search someone. I would never consent to that. It is also unclear to me what exactly the officer saw. If he saw what appeared to be an exchange of drugs for money he could have simply searched him without asking. If all he saw was the subject giving money to someone then he had no probable cause and thus had no business searching. And if he knows the other guy is a drug dealer, why isn't he searching him instead??

What have I misunderstood? What facts have you cited? What arguments have you made? I quoted your own posts. What more do you want? You want to use the form? Go right ahead. But don't judge someone poorly because he refuses to sign a mickey mouse piece of paper. And don't think you're protecting yourself in any way by doing so. Because when "They" come knocking on your door, they're looking for you.

Oy. Let's rewind the tape here. I apologize to other members for this necessary task. Here is your first reply: And from then on you dissimulated, merely asserted, refused to answer the question, provided no proof or argument other than to attack my argument and/or me personally. Like this: Or this: Note the mere assertion here: you ave no faith in DAs or juries. Not based on anything and without any source of basis for such belief. And another restatement here: Note the further assertion without proof or argument. I guess this must seem just too obvious to you.So unable to answer the question, make the logical deduction (viz.that if you have that little faith in government justice then you shouldn't even carry a gun because you might be charged by a capricious and corrupt system) you revert to character attack: No, I'm sorry. I am sorry that your attempts to sound sophisticated and worldly wise actually sound like sheeple bleating the same party line. So the next time you want to have this conversation, please come with facts or theories or something other than [cues music] feeeliings, ohohoho feelings....

As far as I know it is not illegal to give money to someone. It certainly does not represent probable cause. "Am I being detained? Am I free to go?" Remember these key phrases.
-
It was minutes away from getting reported. I guess if you can't provide cogent arguments or facts you attack the speaker's character.

My sound card up and died so I can't listen to this. But here is Eastside's Official Song. I've never wanted to be an actor and I can't sing but I always wanted to perform this number. [ame] [/ame]

I like it. I wish we could extend that. Hey waitress, this damn food is cold! Sir, please come with me..... Could you please turn down the bass on that car stereo? **** you mother****er! Officer, please arrest that man. This has definite possibilities.

Disclaimer: I am not a SIG expert but play one in real life. There is no difference in the mechanical function. Actually there is no difference in any of the SIG P-series guns with the exception of a switch in slide construction from older to newer models. Older models were stamped metal with forged inserts.

But Obama and Clinton ARE Satan incarnate. They are irredeemable as their track records and public statements are unambiguous. McCain at least is redeemable and no doubt part of his appearance there was to shore up both his support for the NRA and theirs for him. But the NRA does not need to endorse anyone. THey might just choose not to.

You have yet to provide one shred or iota of evidence other than paranoid suspicion of "authorities." I have mentioned what happened to my customer who actually attempted to sell me a stolen gun (cliffnotes version: nothing) as well as citing the TN statute about it, showing that it takes more than mere possession to make a conviction. But you have ignored all that. Instead you want to posture and emote and show how committed you are to being anti establishment because--gosh--you just don't trust them. How original and well founded of you. But since you cannot muster anything beyond "feelings" this one's for you [And apologies--my memory isnt what it was and the song was actually by Morris Albert] [ame] [/ame]

No my comprehension is just fine. Your powers of logic are faulty. If you say you wouldn't bet on something that is only meaningful if there is something you would bet on. Otherwise it is simply a rhetorical flourish. So your comment, and lack of any logical argument or fact to back it up, are pretty well without meaning, except as some expression of your [cues Barry Manilow] feeelings.
-
OK, so your statement about not betting your life on it is pretty well meaningless since you won't bet your life on anything else either. As for my supposed "hypocrisy", I have answered that previously.
-
It isn't a question of faith but practicality and history. If you want to go all on it then go right ahead. And since you refuse to answer the question I guess your contribution to this thread is at an end.

I've had a number of them through the shop in all configurations. I got to shoot one a week or so ago. It almost made me want a .40. Recoil was minimal, given the huge weight of the gun. They are absolute bargains now because there are a bunch of LE trades out there.
-
OK. So what will you bet your life on? Because all of those things will factor into any shooting as well. Heck you might as well just lie down in the gutter and die. That way the DA can't indict you.
-
Then what would you bet your life on? 'Cause if that's your standard for action then you ought to just sell all your guns now. There isn't a shoot in the world that cannot be second-guessed by some DA somewhere. But as to actual record I suspect that the honest-Joe homeowner gets off far more often, even where the evidence is extremely biased against him.

Thanks. Go over to Officer.com and the forum section and you will see comments from LE's about "And then I decided to create a little probable cause and searched the vehicle." I figure it's only the stupid ones posting stuff like this. The smart ones know to keep their mouths shut.

I'm experiencing my mid-life crisis and am carrying a Para Carry in .45acp. But eventually sanity will return and I will go back to the 2 1/2" Model 19 Smith. Shooting a revolver requires more skill than a semi. It is also a different rhythm. It is like typing on a manual typewriter.

Another one: Discreet vs discrete. Discreet, quietly, in a hidden fashion. Discrete, readily identifiable or separable. Our rights will not go away wholesale but in discrete pieces of legislation.
-
Um, not really. Affect, the noun, you are correct. Affect, the verb, as follows: We hope the imminent election of Pres. Obama will not affect our rights as gun holders. Effect, the noun, as follows: The effect of an Obama victory will be bonanza to the NRA and borasca to gun owners. Effect, the verb, as follows: An Obama presidency will effect changes detrimental to the rights of American gun owners.

That's OK. I have the body of an 18 year old. And when he sees what i've done to it, boy will he be pissed.
