  1. Greg, my advice would be to retire at 50 if you can afford it, if that's what you REALLY want to do. I would heartily recommend that your next step might be to figure out what you REALLY want to do! May you have the very best of luck, and the benefit of balance, spirit, and wisdom.
  2. If some jerk is beating on your window with a crowbar, then waiting for it to come through the glass before you take action does not seem like an optimal strategy for self defense.
  3. Ok, that might explain what this is all about. Let's see....thanks for that observation.
  4. If you just did nothing, wouldn't that just happen naturally anyway? Is this an especially valuable gun or collection? And why would you want to name anyone "listed for handling?" Just askin', trying to learn something here.
  5. What is your rationale for why you think you need a trust?
  6. Count me out too. Don't need poopy shoes and lefty goons.
  7. Welcome to Tennessee, 4Freedom! I lived in MN years ago. Gotta believe Tennessee is more friendly. TN is certainly waaaaaaaaay better than living in the Peoples Republic of ILLannoy. Moved here from there a year ago. Congrats on dealing so well with all the adversity you've had to face. You're gonna really like things better here. Stay well, and Keep the Faith! Q
  8. If the "unthinkable would ever happen" I don't believe you would need to prove you obtained the firearm legally. I'm sure most of the guns in this country could not satisfy that level of scrutiny.
  9. Well, you do look kinda crazy...……..!
  10. You guys are batting 1.000 so far!
  11. I'm soooooooooooooo glad to be outta that insane place!
  12. The wheels of justice grind slowly. As stated above, leave this alone. fugggggeddddddaaaaabbbboudddddittt
  13. But if you get a Henry 30-30 you'll know you've really got a smooooooth, accurate, and very classy lever action, which will also only increase in value.
  14. I think once you get the 20 incher you won't feel like you settled for anything.
  15. So Doug, Super Congrats! And what does Darby have to say about life in the country?
  16. Ah, ok got it. FWIW, I thought you placed it in a good category.
  17. I'm confused about the "rule" you're referring to, if you can clarify that. Ok to PM me if you wish.
  18. I am praying for you. And thank you for all you've shared in this thread. Also, that video about Mt. Sinai being in Saudi Arabia is fascinating.
  19. Wow! Are those good eatin' ?
  20. You do not need TSA approved locks on anything. You will need a lock (of your choice) on the gun case.
  21. Welcome, Jim! Hope you get your arsenal rebuilt! Meanwhile, the airgun solution sounds like a winner. I might just get mine out. The skills, other than dealing with recoil, are pretty much the same, and the neighbors sure don't care about a whoooof.
  22. Thanks for that, A.J. I'm fighting my way through Mere Christianity right now. The Problem of Pain will be next, followed by Screwtape. C.S. had a brilliant mind. Q
  23. Can't imagine why you think this is a fine point of "the letter of the law" or why you'd fear conflict with LEOs about this. https://www.timesfreepress.com/news/local/story/2014/jul/09/new-gun-rights-law-takes-effect/251789/
  24. This is not at the discretion of the LEO. Without getting into the the 18-21 thing, it's been legal in TN since July 2014 for all lawful gun owners to have loaded handguns, rifles, or shotguns in their vehicles (but not on their person, unless they have an HCP, obviously for handguns only.)
  25. Well, you guys inspired me to look through the boxes from our move from ILLannoy in October, and I finally found my hummingbird feeder! Never saw a bird at it in 3 years in ILLannoy. Maybe, like smart people, they decided to get the hell out of that horrible state.........I'll let you know if any show up here.
