  1. I resemble that remark!
  2. With a 2 million dollar bond.. Smh wtf... Bond has been revoked. Maybe the judge heard that daddy was about to show up with $200,000. Imagine letting that guy go!
  3. Nah. We've got to stretch this out for years, spend millions of dollars of the taxpayers money, and let the perp pile up a mountain of sicko love letters from some very strange women. Just like the kid in Florida. Besides, if we just strung him up, he wouldn't be as good of a poster boy for gun control.
  4. Breaking News: Shooter in custody.
  5. Here's how it works (or doesn't) in IL, from a Chicago Tribune article last year: But when a FOID card is rescinded, Illinois State Police do not typically go to homes to confiscate that person's guns. State police Master Sgt. Matt Boerwinkle said the agency doesn't have the manpower to do that statewide, and rely on local police to follow up. Some local departments check on expired FOID card holders, he said, but many do not. Instead, state troopers merely send a notice of the revocation to the cardholder and to local police. By law, the person must send a form to state police listing his or her guns and identifying another active FOID holder who will hold the guns during the revocation. Police may not seize guns from a revoked FOID holder unless the holder fails to submit the form. Failing to do so is a misdemeanor and authorizes police to search for and seize the guns, but officials say that rarely happens unless the person is stopped for some other violation.
  6. You're right. What a total waste. Discounting or donating them to law enforcement, or the armed forces, would have been perfect. After all, these are "military grade" "weapons of war." But then again, a lot of the Antis hate the cops, and the armed forces too. Oh well....................
  7. That would certainly amaze a lotta folks. Everywhere. The Court is 4-3 Dems vs Rs.
  8. LWW is what we politely refer to some of our politicians as. Stands for Left Wing Wacko .
  9. The LWWs down in Springfield are, literally as we speak, trying to jam through a bill that would make it a Class X felony to possess a bump stock. Punishable by........wait for it!.......and wait some more, because the penalty is 30 years in prison. Outta here soon..........
  10. Back in the 1980s, Dan Wessons had more shooting titles than all other brands combined, getting 70-80% of steel silhouette championships. Check this out: http://www.shootingtimes.com/handguns/handgun_reviews_wesson_041306/ They are fantastic shooters. You can buy them very reasonably priced, but not often, at gunauction.com or gunbroker.com They should be priced way higher than the $700 or so that I see winning bids from time to time.
  11. Oh, Damn that sounds like good advice! Though I might need 2or 3 of those! But Yeah! Or maybe 1.... Anyway, gotta get this done.....!!!!!!
  12. Can't wait till we get to Tennessee..............................!
  13. Ohhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaa! http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2018/04/john-boch/dicks-has-trouble-filling-shelf-space-as-sales-sag/
  14. I'm having a little trouble imagining the concept of a liberal judge -- with a good conscience..........
  15. Man, you guys are good! I studied Wickard in law school at Kansas way back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. (Boo, March Madness.....guess there's always next year!) Seems to me our society would have to make a huuuge turn to the conservative side before we'd ever see SCOTUS unravel Wickard. I just can't see the court doing something that momentous without the stage having been completely set. In other words, I see the court as following more than leading in matters like this. And if they're following, I don't see where all the massive disruption would come from. Am I missing something? This is a fascinating topic.
  16. Agreed. What I meant to say is that we've got to get the right folks on the bench at SCOTUS in this presidential term. We may not have another chance for a long long time.
  17. I sure hope all of this ultimately has a good ending. The gun grabbers are really getting energized. We've got to get SCOTUS on board in this term.
  18. Can't wait to make the move to Tennessee. There's no hope for ILLannoy. The Deerfield nonsense is catching on like wildfire. Suburbs around Chicago are holding "town hall" meetings on Saturday, in a very well coordinated left-wing effort. Here's a sense of what's going on. Caution: Depressing! Don't let Tennessee even begin to start down this slippery slope. http://illinoiscarry.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=68562&hl=
  19. Newbie to Newbie, Welcome! I think you'll find this to be a great group, and it looks like you will have some interesting stuff to offer. Q
  20. Well, now I'm into double-confession. Yikes! I also have a Hi Point .45 carbine. It's even more fun than the 9mm, but definitely way more expensive to just blast away with, so the 9 usually gets the action when it's carbine time.
  21. I will confess ---- I have a Hi Point 9mm carbine There, I said it! It's actually a lot of fun to shoot, and has a lifetime warranty, though I've never had any issues with it. I'd like to have one of the new Rugers.
  22. "High capacity" is defined in the bill as >10 for long guns and >15 for handguns
  23. I dunno. He says he supports it. Here's what the Wall Street Journal just had to say about that: Gov. Scott said in a statement after Friday’s vote that he supports the new bill, along with two other gun-control measures that are advancing in the legislature, because he believes they uphold constitutional rights “while taking reasonable steps to reduce the risk of violence.” A spokeswoman confirmed he plans to sign all three bills pending a technical review.
  24. The Vermont legislature just passed and sent to the Governor a gun control bill, including a ban on "high capacity" magazines. This, from a state which has always been Constitutional carry, and always had open carry for both long and handguns. Who knows, those are probably at risk now. It's gettin' ugly out there........ https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/vermont/articles/2018-03-30/vermont-senate-to-vote-on-gun-restrictions
  25. Sounds like someone got what they deserved in Tennessee last night............... http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/03/29/convicted-felon-shot-killed-by-homeowner-during-tennessee-home-invasion.html
