  1. The ATF will no longer take a letter (Depends on who you get at the ATF but thats the answer I got when I called). Follow what Reservoir Dog posted and you will be fine.

I just went through this last month and still waiting on them to send one back. I Sent the wrong forms the first time and had to redo it.

Make sure you use form 5230.20 and do not 5230.2 like I did, they are different forums.

  2. I agree TDR but I haven't been able to do it all week. Other obligations keep me from riding the first of the week. Yesterday and today have been perfect for it. Off tomorrow and need to run to Nash so looks like the bike is in order.

Joe: Number 213 E tags??? Ha try Number 1 Masonic Motorcycle tags.

    I win, game over. LOL

Looks like I might need to clean up on the bike this weekend.

  3. I had to have two P238 mag replaced for the new ones. I called either last week or the week before. When I called the CS told me they were out but would ship them as soon as they got in. He asked for my address and what not then I asked if I need to send the old ones back and he said "No just throw them away or what ever you want to do with them." They showed up Tuesday. So I am very happy with there CS.

  4. JHatmaker: I have read (this is just internet research) that people are not too happy with the civilian semi Kriss. They use a different bolt design then the FA version and don't run as reliable. I haven't ruled it out completely but one of my main concerns with them is "Will they be around in 10 years to get parts from?"

Thanks for all the ideas/insight guys. I'm still not set any one way or the other. More just throwing ideas around.

  5. I have looked at all kinds of options for a SBR project. AR, all the carbines I can find, Kriss Vector, and HK. Still for one reason or another I can't find one I like. Then I remember they make a stock for a Glock. Good reliability, ease for upgrades and repair parts and highly reliable. That meets all my requirements. :surrender:

To my understanding you have to do the same you would for a rifle, pay the tax engrave and wait. Is that it the?

I am looking at either a 9mm or .45 Glock (Have the adapters for the YHM M2 Cobra to work on 9mm) Really on the fence but leaning towards the 9mm for cost of ammo. This will be a range/play thing for no more than the heck of it.

So who has time with a Glock with a stock on it? Options, opinions or thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Verne

  6. I work for a large Dist Center in Gallatin and handle all the UPS/FedEx out of my building. I have shipped thousands if not tens of thousands of packages over the last 10 years.

That said both have there pros and cons. My rule of thumb if you need it over night FedEx. If you just need it shipped UPS.

There is no telling how many claims I have filed for both companies and have always had no issues but that is off a major corporate account. Now if I could just ship my own stuff from work it would save me a lot of money.

I have had great and lousy customer service and drivers from both.

I will agree though that DHL sucked!!!!!!

  7. I have a MS2 sling and am very happy with it. You have to remember it will work as a single point or a two point setup. Mine is built as well as any other Magpul product.

I also use HK mags. Mine have been flawless but you can't go wrong with the P-mags either. If he likes the HK's call Shadow Warrior up here in Hartsville. He was selling them for $30 or $35 a piece and he probably would hook you since he is headed to AFG.

  8. I have ammo cans myself. I'm just looking for ideas of a better setup than what I currently have.

As far as the Grandmother thing, maybe MemphisMason can explain it. He knows about it. Maybe it is time I changed my signature.

    Thanks,

  9. Magic I really want one of these and have researched them. You can get a Semi with either a 16 inch barrel (Doesn't look that good in my opinion) or a SBR version (the one I want).

When I was researching these I ran across some reports of the Semi version having issues. Supposedly feeding and extracting due to the semi model having a different bolt than the Full-Auto version. Now these were internet comments and nothing concrete. Everyone that I have personally talked that had shoot one had shoot a FA with no issues and loved it. Be nice if we could get a Full Auto one.

  10. If you ever want to hear a YHM I have a Mite and a M2 Cobra 45 you can check out. I have the adapters for the 45 can so it will work on 9mm, 40 cal. and 45. I haven't been able to try it on a 40 but it is hearing safe on 9mm or at least it is for me.

If you ever make it over this way let me know.
