FUJIMO, thanks for the help and no I’m not giving it up. Not yet anyway. I ended up paying $445 so I was happy with it. No barrel tool included unfortunately.

Thank you to those that responded to the thread and in PM. With a little encouragement, I picked up the revolver during lunch. This is it in its current state.

Just the trigger, hammer and barrel lock have rust. The frame and barrel shroud look clean.

A local shop has a Dan Wesson 744 (Stainless 44 mag) for sale for $499 but the gun has some very light surface rust on the trigger, hammer and at the end of the barrel. I'm not a revolver guy and this would be my first revolver of any kind but the rust scares me a little. The action is smooth and crisp and I can't detect any problems when pulling the trigger. The shop guy told me he thinks it just needs polishing and it should run around $100 to get that done. I really would like to buy the gun but I'm just not knowledgeable enough about revolvers to make an informed decision. Any help would be appreciated.

I have our wedding anniversary in November, both wife and daughters birthdays in December and Christmas on top of that.

This one just came in from Ed Brown and I can’t wait to shoot it. Hopefully I’ll get to the range in the next few weeks. It’s an LS10 in Battle Bronze with a few options.
