Not sure what the customer did or what is going on with that gun, but that result can happen when you are putting the slide back on the gun and the guide rod is too low in the barrel lug or off center or they miss the front frame rails with the slide. I would suspect something more than just a slide getting racked happened.

My animosity toward masks is because I’m not convinced they help, I have not yet found one that doesn’t hurt my ears, and I despise having anything on my face, whether it’s a mask or glasses, and I will constantly fiddle with and adjust it, thus more likely exposing my eyes, mouth, and nose to bad things. And I’m not crazy about .gov telling me I have to do it. Other than that, l’m all for them.

Kroger on 70 in Bartlett has plexiglass barriers between cashiers and the customers. Each one has a 3” or 4” diameter hole for you to put your hand through the get to the credit/debit card machine. The machine is not lined up with the hole, so it’s basically impossible to not touch the side of the hole. So somebody’s feel good idea to keep everybody safe is actually making everyone touch the same spot. No plexiglass barriers would be safer. The stupidity is getting worse every day.

I was in a Mexican joint yesterday and the TV was on CNN, where "apocalyptic" levels of COVID cases were being predicted to happen soon. Anything to hopefully scare the masses into voting for Joe.

And that's a problem. A friend's niece recently tested positive after having minor symptoms. Eight of her family members were routinely in contact and close proximity to her and all eight tested negative twice. They all think her positive test is crap, but for the record, that's nine new cases.

What is different in the $200 trigger kits? Most take stock parts and do some variation of what I described. They may slightly reshape the trigger bar or round off the plunger, but you can do 90% of what they do yourself. Expensive trigger kits won’t prevent holes in your feet. It’s your money, though.

A standard Glock spring is flat wire. A friend has a Q5 SF and he said the stock spring is HEAVY. He said options are very limited for respringing with the stock guide rod. He has the ZR guide rod above and a 13 pound Glock spring. He was having trouble going back into battery and cured it with a Sprinco reduced striker spring (he really liked the way the gun felt with the 13). Another friend has a 13 on his SF and it locks up fine with the ZR guide rod. I would get a .250 diameter aftermarket steel guide rod (like either one above) that uses ISMI flat wire Glock springs and be done with it. I would buy a 13 and a 15 pound spring and go from there. One of those should be the ticket depending on your ammo, how far you’re throwing brass, and how the sights track.

Looks like both of these manufacturers use ISMI Glock style recoil springs for their PPQ guide rods: https://ssguiderods.com/shop/walther/walther-ppq-m2-stainless-steel-guide-rod/ https://www.zrtacticalsolutions.com/shop/walther-ppq-uncaptured-stainless-guide-rod/

Maybe not a centerfold, but definitely a looker lol. No need for a $200 trigger kit. This is what I do: Polish internal trigger parts everywhere they interact (except the rear of the striker). I like Flitz and a dremel. 4.5 Wolff striker spring—any lower and you get into light strike issues with a stock striker (and they can keep their damn lightened strikers lol) reduced safety plunger spring if you like; polish the whole plunger stock trigger spring 3.5 or - connector of your choice—OEM, Taran Tactical, Ghost, ZEV, whatever. Just make sure it’s shiny. My current choice is a Lone Wolf 342. A Glock armorer friend swears that maritime spring cups are worth a 1/4 pound reduction. I found some aftermarket ones cheap, don’t remember the brand. You can get silly and get a safe 2 pound trigger if you’re willing to spend some money on a striker and play fast and loose with the striker spring. It’s not for me, though.

Many excellent points, although I have been accused of being a Glock fanboy and won’t argue. $30 and 30 minutes will turn a Glock trigger from a hag to a centerfold. The $1350 to make a Glock equal a Canik seems a bit high. Caniks are becoming popular. I haven’t seen one that will run in a match yet, but a guy took second in the USPSA Production Nationals last year with one, so there’s something to them.

WWB is usually pretty reliable stuff. What kind of gun are you shooting? Is it only an extraction issue or are any of these rounds also failing to chamber or go fully into battery? Do you ever gage your ammo the night before? This is pretty much standard practice for reloaders, but I know several competitive shooters who strictly use factory ammo and gage everything before they use it. Factory stuff can be faulty, too. It may have been a simple bad batch, but running the rest of that ammo through gage could be telling.

And 2900+ stupid ass morons threw away their votes on Prince Mongo. If Herenton had lost, I may still be a Memphian. I did 32 years in Memphis and had bikes stolen, cars broken into, got burglarized, family members shot and neighbors murdered. I left and never looked back. Throwing away your vote on a third party candidate who has no chance has consequences.

Utopias exist only in books and Bartlett does have crime, but I find it extremely hard to believe that 10 people have been shot in the same Bartlett neighborhood in less than a year and no one knows anything about it and the news folks never picked it up. Nextdoor, Facebook, and local news would have erupted.
-
Are these the same five alleged shootings behind the high school you mentioned a year or so ago?
-
When and which neighborhood?
-
Cooper specified a 200 kilo target, which would be about 440 pounds.

Anything can happen anywhere, any time. Murders in a suburb like Bartlett are less likely and less frequent, but there is no such thing as a perfectly safe area.

Zeroing red dots. Is it right if it’s only right for YOU?

A handgun shouldn't vary much between shooters, iron sights or dot. If it does, it is more than likely shooter error by one or more of the shooters. One or more of you are probably flinching, milking, or jerking the trigger or not taking up the slack before breaking the shot. Also, how much finger is placed on the trigger can greatly affect the shot. Out of curiosity, are you or your buddies left-handed? -

On the other hand, I know a couple adults who got medicated for ADHD as kids and they are now train wrecks. I know others whose parents declined to medicate them as suggested by their doctors and they are happy with their decision (both parents and kid), especially after seeing how others turned out. In the not so distant past, it seemed like ADHD diagnoses and the resulting Ritalin/Adderall RX were rampant. Every energetic kid was suspected of having ADHD. I’m not advocating corporal punishment, but many of the ADHD meds seem like a bad idea in hindsight. I’m glad they weren’t common in the 70s.

ADHD was called hyperactivity when I was a kid. They didn't give medication for it, just more ass whippings. My mother was concerned that I was hyperactive and asked the doctor (maybe 1978?). He said, "Does he go to sleep ok?" Yes. "Does he sleep all night?" Yes. "Lady, all he needs is 10 acres and a 10 foot fence." I could probably still use it.
