  1. I agree that government agencies occasionally feeling the need to be held accountable is a good thing, but it’s a sad day when they produce a video merely to prevent a mob from getting whipped into a frenzy by people with bad information, no information, or fabricated information and burning the place down.
  2. I think the intent of the video was to possibly deter BLM/Antifa from laying siege to Nashville, not to prove adherence to Constitutional criminal procedure. It is bizarre that police departments now feel compelled to do this, but that’s how things are now.
  3. Shelby County’s new mask directive: Persons who cannot medically tolerate wearing a face covering are not required to wear a face shield, and no person declining to wear a face covering because of a medical condition is required to produce verifying medical documentation. I’m thinking there’s about to be a pandemic of MHD (mask hypertension disorder).
  4. You’re both wrong. Liberals love this guy.
  5. The vaccine brownshirts don’t mention this. Are antibodies better than a vaccine? Obviously, we don’t know long they stay with us, but we also don’t know how long the vaccine is effective. As widespread as Covid has supposedly been, there ought to be plenty of people walking around with antibodies and that should help expedite herd immunity. I know I was (and probably still am) one of them. On a side note, my best friend’s mother (age 81) got her second vaccine shot about three weeks and developed a suspected blood clot two weeks later. She was in the hospital for five days, then got Covid. He said nurses went in and out of a patient’s room across the hall dressed in hazmat-looking suits, so he suspects she got it while at the hospital. She’s not doing great, but is not on a ventilator. She was fairly healthy before all this. Her daughter (who also had both shots) also now has Covid, but has mild symptoms. I guess they are not in the 90% effective group.
  6. Freedom means I can pass on a vaccine and I don’t have to isolate myself. My decisions affect no one but myself. Get over it.
  7. Yeah this is kinda BS. No one dismissed his decision or argued against him; in fact, many who don’t appear to be fans of the vaccine offered him encouragement and support. The thread didn’t get sideways until people like you started arguing for more government mandates.
  8. In your situation, I would probably be getting in line for the vaccine.
  9. Others on this thread are advocating forcing the vaccine on people or not allowing them to participate in life outside their front door. As for the Asian restaurant, I would support their right to require masks if they choose as long as there are no repercussions for people voting with their wallet and choosing not to spend money there. The spray painters should be punished. Probably most who supported the wedding cake baker would feel the same way.
  10. I completely agree, but when will these people (pro vaccine or anti) be held to the same scrutiny that someone who doesn’t like masks is held? Are they not also contributing to the crisis with their lousy health/lifestyle choices by feeding their co-morbidities and being more susceptible to the virus?
  11. because no one knows if there will be long term side effects because the vaccines were created faster than the experts thought possible because the vaccine makers have immunity from being sued because I've had Covid and flu was worse because I'm not 80/obese/diabetic and am low risk if I happen to get it again because I just found out my friend's mother had both shots and is now very sick with Covid because I'll let others be guinea pigs If I were 80/obese/diabetic, I would probably be less concerned about most of what I listed.
  12. We have a friend who had a similar experience--got the shot Friday, sick as a dog Saturday, better but still shaky Sunday, back to work Monday. I don't plan to get the shot any time soon unless a squad of Fauci brownshirts drags me out, but if I did decide to get one, I would get it on a Sunday night.
  13. So how does an infected person pose more of a risk? Everybody’s favorite overpaid government idiot, Anthony Fauci, said the vaccine only keeps you from developing symptoms, nothing more. I guess “Your papers, please” is the way forward.
  14. For a virus discovered barely a year ago and a vaccine that is only a few months old? Nope.
  15. I am all for accepting the consequences of my choices, but an unvaccinated person would be putting no more people at risk than a vaccinated person would. It sounds like you are in favor of more pointless restrictions.
  16. And BLM will be chanting her name in a year.
  17. So if we vaccinate a large percentage of the population and a minority chooses not to get vaccinated, what is the problem?
  18. You may not have said it, but your statement clearly implied it.
  19. And vaccinated carriers don't?
  20. How does a non-vaccinated person put you at risk? The "experts" have said a vaccine only keeps the vaccinated from getting it; they can still carry and spread it. Otherwise, those vaccinated would no longer be required to wear masks. If you believe the science, the only person a non-vaccinated person potentially harms is himself.
  21. Physical fitness is important, but I'm not convinced it mattered here. I am easily 100 pounds lighter than this officer and I can run five or six miles without much too fuss, but I don't assume I would be able to jump right back up after being shot. Mindset/survival instinct certainly plays a role and I don't know the officer's mindset or training, but I think we are jumping the gun assuming that his was lacking.
  22. You can de-escalate all you want, but when people are brainwashed into believing they are going to die if stopped by a police officer, this is what you get—a self-fulfilling prophecy.
  23. PM me a number and I'll text them to you. The victims may not want to be publicly humiliated lol
  24. Most deal with the star by shooting the top plate and then shooting the remaining four as they spin to either 3 or 9 o’clock. The 3/9 plan went out the window with two 18x24 Steel Challenge targets in the way. More than a couple guys I guess you might say “struggled.” I have some pretty comical video.
  25. I once made this same statement to a group of Texans in a hole in the wall restaurant in Abilene and my opinion was not well received. The brisket was damn good, though.
