  1. My dry fire session tonight started with this. Took about five minutes to clear. If I start carrying one of these, I guess I’ll put it in the fridge before dry firing to condition myself against a WTH moment when I draw on a vice lord with a fogged up dot.
  2. Ok, I’ll finally admit it. The real reason I haven’t gotten the shot is that somebody with marksmanship skills is gonna have to stick around to shoot all the suckers in the head in a year or two.
  3. Funny that MSM is repeating the theme that states Trump won or otherwise red states have lower vaccination rates and it must be political. However, I have discussed the vaccine with more than a few black folks whose political opinions are quite different from mine. Strangely, they are waiting on getting the shot for the same reasons I am and those reasons have nothing to do with politics. I don’t believe vaccinated vs unvaccinated necessarily corresponds to left vs right like we are being led to believe. Whatever the case, Gore’s racism claim is idiotic.
  4. Well you can easily uncross that line by pointing out the glaringly obvious fact that .gov colluding with big tech to censor your personal text messages that involve you discussing hesitancy to be a guinea pig for an experimental drug can quickly become .gov colluding with big tech to censor your personal text messages discussing gun rights with your friends. Or much worse.
  5. It's good to see what weird stuff goes on during the day while at work, when the kids come home from school, when a package is delivered, or that a coyote was in your driveway at 2AM (yep I saw this on our Arlo). This past Friday I was supposed to meet code enforcement at my house and was told I would get a 15 minute heads-up that they were on the way (I was working about 10 minutes away). Then I see on my camera that they came to my house without calling. I called the code enforcement office and they had the guy come back and I met him. I would be starting all over again meeting the guy this week if I had not had my camera.
  6. A lot of Vortex scopes are made in the Philippines, but some of the lower end stuff is Chinese.
  7. Well kinda sorta. Trump got the vaccine and encouraged everyone else to do the same. Just a couple months ago he still said get the shot. Others have been less consistent.
  8. I wonder who runs the FDA and how many metric ass tons of pressure they are under to hurry the F up and approve some vaccines.
  9. Yeah it’s real, supposedly started by a guy protesting the existence of billionaires. How much money Bezos has doesn’t bother me, but I don’t like the guy because of the deplatforming BS and Amazon trying to put the whole world out of business. I don’t give them a dime.
  10. No surprise there. I expect Lima, Mike, Oscar, Romeo, Sierra, X-ray, Yankee, and Zulu strains and a recurring cycle of “we need to re-mask/children need the shot/we need another $6 trillion in woke funds i mean covid relief/you are racist if covidphobia is not your hobby.”
  11. I read that there is a petition to bar Bezos from re-entering the atmosphere and it has 60,000 or so names. I wonder where I can add mine.
  12. I have an Arlo wireless 4 camera system that was around $400. They are rechargeable and last about a month. It has free video storage for a week or so. It was pretty simple to set up and use and I’m happy with it. Keep in mind that a wireless camera is only as good as your wi-fi signal.
  13. The first non-Glock I would look at would be a Sig 365XL. I shot one the other day with a Holosun 407k and was impressed. I wouldn't get one because it points crazy low for me and is borderline too small for my hands, but it is a solid gun. My current carry gun is a Glock 48 and I just switched to shooting red dot guns competitively. I would prefer to carry something similar and am researching how I would set up a 48 MOS with a dot. I still have some reservations about carrying a dot, but am slowly coming around.
  14. I don’t feel that this is a dead horse issue. It’s getting more and more alarming. The DNC now wants to censor your personal text messages if they are deemed to contain misinformation about covid. Who determines what is or isn’t misinformation? ”Biden allied groups, including the Democratic National Committee, are also planning to engage fact-checkers more aggressively and work with SMS carriers to dispel misinformation about vaccines that is sent over social media and text messages.” https://www.politico.com/news/2021/07/12/biden-covid-vaccination-campaign-499278
  15. We had two Ford 4.0 V6 engines, one in a Ranger and one in an Explorer Sport Trac. They were good engines, but had “MADE IN COLOGNE, GERMANY” on the side. Go figure.
  16. After owning a few Fords and seeing lots of reliability issues of friends’ Jeeps and GMs, I just no longer get very interested unless it says Honda or Toyota. I’ve taken a lot of static about driving foreign cars, but what is a foreign car? A foreign company that lets Americans build them or an American company that lets foreigners build them? My 06 Tacoma was built in California, but Ford’s new Bronco Sport and Maverick are built in Mexico and Rams and F-150s have been foreign made off and on over the years. I decided years ago to forget if it’s American or Japanese and buy quality. Now I have a Tacoma and a 4Runner.
  17. Yeah and I knew one of those 600, but none of the 600k. What is the probability of that? I trust neither of those numbers.
  18. That's a good one to have if you don't handload. Through all this stupidity, 6 CM ammo is everywhere.
  19. Same here and I disagreed with several people I know who made this same argument. Covid will go away when certain people can no longer use it to push their agendas.
  20. And I've read multiple stories about people who got the vaccine, got COVID, and subsequently died. I wonder, if in their last conscious thoughts, they are still glad they listened to that worm.
  21. I’ve done it a couple times and know it works well if you shoot both eyes open instinctively. And yes, in an arms length gun fight, the sights/dot will probably be irrelevant.
  22. Maybe. The leaving a cold building scenario may be unlikely, but getting out of an air conditioned car in a parking lot and suddenly needing your gun is probably more realistic.
  23. I’m sure you can, as long as you always use both eyes (which I do). However, the hesitation and delay caused by the wait-what’s-wrong-with-my-gun-what-the-hell’s-up-with-my-dot-oh-it’s-fogged-up-but-i-can-still-use-it routine can be disastrous.
  24. I don’t have a cat, but I wonder if Pomeranian turds will help. And before anyone wets their pants, it’s a gamer gun and doesn’t need co-witnessed sights.
