  1. If ammo availability is an issue, I would get a .350 Legend. .450 Bushmaster, 6mm Creedmoor, and .350 Legend have been available pretty much every time I go to a store ever since the stupidity started. Plus it's just a cool round. Also, I would think a Blackout would do well in an auction.
  2. Got my tax stamp for my Omega 300 today after +/- 9 months. Also got a $176 speeding ticket on the way to the NFA guy.
  3. What VW
  4. Covid escalation makes 2022 mail in ballots more palatable and keeps the door open for unprecedented spending on unprecedented things.
  5. Shut up and trust the science
  6. They Crimson Tide fans? Just sayin
  7. Before this is over, I wouldn’t mind releasing a few dozen cruise missiles on Xi’s presidential palace or mud hut or wherever he lives. I ignored the origin debate at first, but now I’m suspecting its release maybe was not accidental.
  8. Thank you for the in-depth answer. I was trying to nicely ask “why should I trust you?” and I think you answered that. The left/right politics of the vaccines are irrelevant to me (other than government mandates). I have been hesitant because I don’t know and I don’t trust most who claim they do. I generally don’t like medication and take as little as is necessary. Some have called me anti-vax and that is a complete mischaracterization. I have no doubt the vaccines work to varying degrees, but have always been concerned about what will be learned about them 10 years from now. Throw in the lack of liability the drug makers politicked for and got (I get it—this needed to happen to expedite the process, but big pharm aren’t exactly angels) and the speed at which they were developed, and I don’t see how a prudent person wouldn’t have some concerns.
  9. What is your background and is there anything to the news I've read and heard lately that Pfizer is less effective?
  10. Maybe he was skimming, too. I've never been guilty of that
  11. I never mentioned whether or not Trump would help, I just pointed out that Trump pushing the vaccine is nothing new. He quoted me instead of whoever said Trump may get more people vaccinated. That would have made more sense.
  12. I guess whatever the point of your link is went over my head.
  13. He’s been saying that all along.
  14. Some suppressed guns get really dirty really quick. Do you have an adjustable gas block? With a suppressor on it, the gun may now be overgassed and you may need to dial it down.
  15. This. A friend builds fast food restaurants and said basically the same thing. The newer machines are over engineered and if some fairly involved mandatory maintenance isn't done frequently, the machine goes into lockdown. Then you get to call a tech from the machine company ($$$$), unless you have a well trained maintenance guy. He was running the maintenance department and wanted to hire a dedicated shake machine guy (it was 100+ restaurants), but he got vetoed. Some think if we just pay the employees $15/hr, all this will miraculously go away. That's unlikely.
  16. Yep, to punish them for their human rights abuses. Yeah, ok.
  17. This. My sister is a nurse and said that at every hospital and medical facility she has worked that nurses are regarded by the brass as just a drag on the bottom line because they don’t generate revenue like say, surgeries do. The nurses’ department is run on a shoestring budget and skeleton crew and many are run off/burn out/disgruntled as a result. However, we all know the hospital would crumble in minutes if all the nurses went and played golf one day.
  18. That may be true. When I did it, Norinco x39 was $100/case and the limb was smaller. But steel core x39 will assassinate a tree. I downed a 6” limb with one magazine.
  19. 250 rounds of steel core 7.62x39. This method has worked for me before.
  20. Not sure that would fly. That would require re-writing a policy, which is specifically tailored to an individual based on age, health, blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, family history, etc. and these risks are used to calculate premiums. The insurance companies would risk losing a customer who is committed to paying premiums for X more years. But we are talking about insurance companies, so who knows.
  21. I do wonder if/when we will see an insurance company reject someone’s life insurance claim because they were taking a non FDA approved drug. I wouldn’t put it past the insurance industry.
  22. Same thing was probably said about school vouchers in the past.
  23. Doesn’t seem like a quip. If services are withheld from certain individuals, they should be refunded some tax money that funds those services.
  24. One of my favorite sports is giving a fast food cashier $21.10 for an order that is $16.08. Talk about bringing the operation to a screeching halt.
