How much are those rides and how far/long do they go?
-
Sounds similar to “Grandpa was an obese diabetic chain smoker who was rushed to the ER after having a heart attack, but his death got chalked up as covid…”
-
How many cases of myocarditis/pericarditis? I don't understand how anyone could dispute VAERS numbers. VAERS uses the same methods that were used to report covid cases and deaths.

I have been shooting primers lately that were stored in a non-temp controlled storage building for ten years and they are fine. I wouldn't use them for home defense or dangerous game hunting, but I bet both are ok. Try a few and see.

I’m sure it is possible. It’s also possible for some people to “suffer” or “get knocked down” or “get sick” (three different ways to describe the same reaction) for days or weeks. Some get myocarditis or blood clots after getting the shot. I asked the question because it seems that some people on here are making the assumption that feeling bad for more than 12-24 hours after getting the shot must be from something else. That’s often not the case, but some don’t want to acknowledge reality.

Why do some people get sick after getting the shot?

+1 on the Franchi. I have an Instinct 20 ga and a 686 12 ga. The Franchi is the "funner" of the two and costs half as much (or did).

Shield Arms S15 mags??
deerslayer replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I have some experience with these and two 48s and feel they are worthwhile. If you are the type to get a new gun and carry it without putting a couple hundred rounds through it first, I would avoid them. There are two generations of magazines, but I don’t think the gen 1 is available any more. They recommend a metal mag catch, whether you use theirs or someone else’s. I would use theirs. The early mag catches were aluminum and don’t seem to like gen 2 mags. My experience is that Gen 2 mags and the new steel mag catch used together are reliable and are all Shield now sells. Call them if you have any questions—they are very helpful. -
Shooting at Kroger in Collierville, Tennessee
deerslayer replied to The Legion's topic in General Chat
Sometimes a shooter's name is withheld so they don't get all the immediate attention. The Collierville PD Chief just gave a press conference and didn't reveal much except that 15 people were shot and 10 were employees. He was asked several questions about the shooter and motive, but repeated that the investigation was still ongoing and he was not releasing any of that yet. -
Maybe, maybe not. People I know who have gotten the shot have had reactions ranging from "I had a sore shoulder" to "the first shot was nothing, the second one made me sick" to "the first one made me sick, the second one was a barn burner." A local radio guy ended up in the hospital with myocarditis. It does seem like the shot marketers who claim you can expect only a sore arm are increasingly wrong (at least from my unscientific sample). I heard a professor of something or nother from Johns Hopkins say that it would make more sense to spread the shots out three or four months because it would potentially reduce side effects if an individual got their ass beat after the first one and to increase the longevity of protection. It was only his opinion, but it makes more sense than anything else I've heard lately.

Bear Creek Arenal .350 Legend upper, a review.
deerslayer replied to Handsome Rob's topic in Long Guns
A friend bought one of their side charging uppers. I was a little suspicious because it was surprisingly cheap, but the thing runs like a sewing machine. I don't think I want one, though. -
Glock 48 IWB in a Comp-Tac CTAC at 8 or 9 o'clock (lefty) year round. I feel I am much better off carrying and training/practicing with one carry gun and holster.

What are the features of your "ultimate carry pistol" ?
deerslayer replied to TGO David's topic in Handguns
1. Must run 2. Big enough for serious shooting, small enough to comfortably carry 3. Decent trigger 4. Decent capacity A Glock 48 with Shield magazines is about the best carry gun I have found. -
I’ve all but lost interest in pro sports. “I refuse to practice because I want $20 million instead of $18 million” got old, and that was before kneeling and black anthems. My daughter’s competitive soccer team is more interesting to me than any sports on tv. We have recently gone to a couple University of Memphis womens soccer games to see how the experts do it. About 2/3 of the team is Canadian and one is from Japan and another is from Iceland. All stand at attention during the anthem. If only Americans knew how to act.

There is that

I suppose this could be chalked up to those people being exposed shortly before getting the booster. Maybe maybe not. It is interesting that two FDA big shots are resigning over disagreements about whether or not third boosters are necessary or even safe. Biden has demonstrated that he is a stubborn, pigheaded old man who refuses to change his mind or admit he is wrong. This may be his latest case of “I said we are doing it this way and nothing will change that.”

I did slightly alter the way I dress when I started carrying, but it was well worth the small effort. Different strokes for different folks and all that I guess.

Meanwhile in Wokeburg, the Commerce secretary and one of her MSNBC buddies are writing the sequel to 1984 when they claim vaccine mandates aren’t forcing anyone to do anything. https://www.msnbc.com/stephanie-ruhle/watch/commerce-sec-raimondo-vaccine-mandate-is-unquestionably-going-to-help-our-economy-120746053718

I should have been more specific--Smith & Wesson M&P 10 .308.

I’m 5’10/180 and can easily and comfortably conceal a Glock 48 or Springfield EMP IWB under just a t-shirt all day long. Usually the fat guys are the one complaining about concealing IWB.

Not saying this is you, but 95% of the OCers I see fit the Fudd category or look like they got their first gun last Wednesday. A $5 holster and they don’t seem to notice or care that someone is standing 12” behind them. I think my daughter could disarm many of them. They probably tell everybody nobody notices their gun or has ever said anything to them.

The Piperton, TN gestapo don't play when you're doing 59 in a 45. But they didn't ask if I had a gun.
