I have no problem with OC, but wish people would be a little more responsible about it. As in, use a quality retention holster (not a Serpa or Uncle Mike's). Show a little bit of situational awareness. Most of the OCers I see could be disarmed by my teenage daughter before they realized what was happening.

That you Vlad?

Glad you got it figured out. I’ve seen extremely worn Glock extractors fail, but not new ones. Are you using Shield mags/mag catch on this gun?

Ha ha, I had one of these in my hands back in the early 90s and was stressing on whether or not I should let go of the $319 or so on the price tag. Should have maxed out the credit card on a stack of them... -
Question about police parked on the side of the road at night
deerslayer replied to jeff43's topic in General Chat
I get it, but that’s kind of an apples-to-oranges comparison and not exactly a slippery slope. Following someone on the highway for a couple miles is in a different zip code from searching your house or scanning your emails. At least SOMEBODY is doing something near the border. -
LOL, you replied to it!

Baldwin shoots two on movie set, accidental misfire???
deerslayer replied to TennesseeCamper's topic in General Chat
Well, I'll play devil's advocate. What is the point of carrying a SAA with an empty chamber? I don't have access to a SAA or an 1873 non-transfer bar clone, but how far can you pull the hammer back before the first click? If released before hitting this spot, is there enough force to light a primer? I am the last to defend Baldwin and would enjoy seeing him getting buried civilly and criminally, but the facts need to be "bullet proof" first. -
No. Blue seems to bring as much or more than nickel. I think many are afraid of nickel 40 year old guns.
-
I have a 4” nickel 19-4 that I tried to sell on here a year or so ago. It was recently spoken for and is awaiting me and the buyer being able to meet.

These things are shooters. I recently ditched the G48 and started carrying my EMP4 again. I actually shot it tonight in an indoor IDPA match and had a blast. I recently picked up the bobtail version after learning they were discontinued. I haven't shot it yet, but if it breaks in and runs ok, I'll get a plain black Dawson rear sight and call it good.

Wow. Sounds like the drive-thru nowadays - “Here’s 8 bucks. Just give me what you think I need”

I was talking specifically about 9mm PSA ARs. 5.56/.223 aren’t nearly the drama queens a 9mm can be

Basically every feeding malfunction there is. Seems like a 50/50 chance they will run, even if left stock. I know one guy who has them figured out and likes them, but he has a long machining background.

Some of the holster makers are actually making gun holders, not holsters. I’ve shot mostly Limited division in USPSA and I’ve never seen Glock dominate Limited—that’s always been 2011 territory. I have used a Glock 24 extensively (and made Master with it) and was always regarded as the oddball in the division. Glocks being used less in Production makes sense because right now all the rage is heavy guns, which usually starts with a steel frame. In fact, USPSA changed the Production weight limit to 59 oz, which is bizarre to me, but if shooters want to strap bricks on their guns to supposedly make them shoot flatter, they can knock themselves out. DA autos with 2 pound SA triggers have gradually become more prevalent and are now the majority (in Production). CZ Shadow 2 pretty much dominates Production now. I like CZ, but I’m not a DA fan. I get them lumping STI and Staccato together, but there were probably very few Staccato guns used. They don’t really make anything that is useful for USPSA.

PSA is the budget route for PCC. I’ve seen lots of people have plenty of trouble with them. For the serious PCC shooter, JP is the buy once-cry once solution.

I did. Got my first ever flu shot back in 01 or 02 and got the world class Olympic gold medal ass-whipping super flu a month or two later. I don’t believe the shot caused it, but it sure as hell didn’t help me. After that, I decided flu shots were BS and haven’t wasted time with them since.

I didn’t check their site to see if any are available for the guns you mentioned, but Dawson Precision makes front and rear sights and sight sets with lots of options. A shorter front sight is cheap and would fix your problem. https://dawsonprecision.com/gun-sights/

Getting a little QA oversight on my reloading operation

He’s a handsome fellow. Somewhere there’s a pic of a black tomcat we used to have on a high shelf in my dad’s storage building supervising my dad loading ammo. -
