As classy as the Security Six is, I have to vote for the 686. This one is a -3 made about 30 years ago. -

Years ago, a friend was driving down a country road when a truck approached. They both got over, but not enough and knocked off each other’s mirrors. They swapped insurance information and the other guy lived on Needmore Road. When my friend’s mother heard that, she laughed so hard she almost needed CPR.

"Look at this ya'll! They put Mountain Dew in this one!"

I’ve read and watched several reviews where the reliability problems went away when different magazines were used.

Exactly. I don't get the desire to own some badass dog pit or otherwise, but having them in the house where babies are crawling around on the floor is idiotic.
-
The reason is they are just dumb animals and one can never be sure what they will do, even if they are the person who feeds them. I used to work outside and often went to homes. Over the years, more than a few dogs that knew me and saw me often would suddenly get aggressive out of the blue for no apparent reason and act like crackheads. The owners always sang the same tune - “I’ve never seen him act like that!” Well you have now. No animal is completely predictable. Pit bulls get a lot of bad press, but this is true for pretty much any breed.

Begging the Saudis for more oil until November seems to have backfired.

How to ship a firearm for service?
deerslayer replied to billyblazes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Not according to UPS’ new rules. “Firearm Products” are restricted to FFLs, etc, but UPS now defines pretty much any gun part as a “Firearm Product.” From their website; “Firearm Part” is any part or component of a Firearm that does not by itself meet the definition of a “Firearm.” By way of example only, Firearm Parts include, but are not limited to, barrels, stocks, grips, firing pins, sights, and magazines/clips. “Firearm Products” means Firearms and Firearm Parts. The term Firearm Product does not include scopes. UPS accepts packages containing Firearm Products for shipment only as a contractual service and only from Shippers who are licensed importers, licensed manufacturers, licensed dealers, or licensed collectors (as defined in Title 18, Chapter 44 of the United States Code) to authorized recipients, as outlined in the approved UPS agreement for the transportation of Firearm Products. To transport packages containing Firearm Products, the Shipper must enter into an approved UPS agreement for the transportation of Firearm Products. It doesn’t look like Fedex restricts parts yet, but I wouldn’t be shocked if that also changes. -

Talked to a fellow at the range yesterday who was trying to ship a slide at UPS (not the UPS Store) and was told that he had to A) have a UPS account B) sign a firearms shipper agreement and C) schedule a pickup. He was not sending it to a manufacturer for warranty work. -
This. We always hear about how kids will be grown before you know it, but sometimes your parents are gone before you know it. Boy do my wife and I know.

This may hit home with the competitive shooters…

Only 100? That must be the boomers thugs. My guys that pass me are doing 125+ Every time I drive to South Memphis for work it's a sport to count the bumpers on the side of the road.

I’m a big fan of Baby Jack’s, but can’t speak intelligently about their BBQ or anyone else’s. I’m the weirdo who is always more interested in their smoked turkey or chicken
-
It's a Memphis thing. About 90% of the crime involves a gray or black Infiniti and the occasional Dodge Charger with drive out tags, presumably bogus. The cars are often stolen.
-
I’m a Tops fan, but I don’t think I’ve ever had their BBQ.

HK has never seemed worth the price to me. I don’t have a lot of experience with them, but do have some with their DA/SA guns. The few I’ve shot seemed to be of excellent build quality, but kinda clunky in design with lousy triggers. A friend had a USP that I joked was an overpriced grip strength tool.

I bet you have better luck at Austin Peay. I went there earlier this year and got there about 45 minutes early and was number 15. There were 100+ people in line when they opened the doors. They were in full blast covid mode and that created more delays. I'm sure it's worse now, but I bet Austin Peay is the best option. On the other hand, you could just photoshop a paper drive out tag and just floor it when the cops try to stop you. You'll blend right in

I wear my belly band fairly snug to keep the gun from bouncing and it's never affected breathing. I do wear it pretty much around my waist and not up higher.

I run with a Glock 48 in one of these and it works well. The gun does get a little sweaty, but it's a Glock and a paper towel makes it like new. I never run more than five or so miles, so I don't care about water. https://www.undertechundercover.com/collections/belly-bands/products/the-original-belly-band-1 I would like to see some pics of your rig, though.

I have a friend who used to drag race an 86 Mustang. He ended up in the high 8s before he gave it up. His car was in Hot Rod magazine. When he quit, you could have put that small block in an F-250 and towed an Airstream through the Rockies, but he spent a retirement on transmissions.
